Hi,
I checked on there and can't find the one i am after, yet a search on Google etc says there is the newer version as stated in first post.
Thanks

The rom you are looking for is an OTA update and not a complete RUU. I dont think a complete RUU was ever made out of the OTA update.

Hope this helps. You'll need to be on stock htc recovery (not cwm) to install it.

You can either use an RUU (get the one that matches your installed radio) which will wipe everything or you can install a pre-rooted ROM if you have a custom recovery. Enjoy!
thank u , but i don’t know where can i see my radio? compatible with this RUU?

The RUU replaces the radio so what you're currently on is irrelevant

Unable to locate 1.29.720.11 (Asia - India) RUU for my HOX

Dear Team,
I just got my hox which was updated to the latest Asia - India 1.29.xxx (forgot the last digits) however i rooted the same using one click rooting method, post which the phone was rebooting everytime i was playing any music file.
So i went to the recovery and tried clearing cache/sdcard/system/etc but that didn't help, then i tried formatting the sdcard/system and post that my phone is stuck on the boot screen.
Now i tried doing everything mentioned on this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609190&highlight=disaster
However, it seems that only solution for me is to go back to stock, but my problem is the RUU which is not available on the link mentioned in that post...: http://www.filefactory.com/f/7cc7b2fbdd03c031/
So i am kindda stuck here...any help would be highly appreciated!
Thanks a ton in advance...
Anyone??? Plsss....im badly stuck here, pls pls help!!!

The digits of the rom version number that you have forgotten are vital if anyone is to assist you in finding the RUU number.
If you can provide them, I will be able to find it for you (If it exists).
You can find your software version no. by going to bootloader, fastboot mode
And type : fastboot getvar version-main
This is mine as example:
C:\fastboot>fastboot getvar version-main
version-main: 1.29.707.11
finished. total time: 0.007s
And for Asia-India usually is 1.2x.720.xx

Ohh man...it's so difficult to digest!!! Anything else i can do?
Or else if any other indian user can upload their stock rom..will that work?
Yes you can use other indian boot files. Check your pc whether you have yoour nandroid backup , just flash the boot.img file if you have it.
Else ask any other indian who has nadroid backup of 1.29.
I am indian but i have 1.28 base only. you can flash that too. to get it works.

I get bootloader version error
I see the image version I already have is higher than the version image I am trying to install from the RUU.
How can I fix this?
CID HTC__J15
See : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30999119&postcount=1888
I am downloading it now, however the name Europe in the RUU made me think that this RUU doesn't support Arabic keyboard while the ROM I had before had Arabic keyboard.
There is no Arabic Keyboard in this RUU but can find it in various thread.
Most important is get your device up and running.

Hboot version

I got my One X when they first came out, rooted it straight away and have been very happy. I'm running a JB AOKP ROM.
I've noticed a lot of talk about hboot versions, 1.23/1.28. My hboot is still 0.43. Am I missing anything? Does updating the hboot actually matter?
Thanks for any information

I have almost the same question : I would like to install the "Android Revolution HD 11.1" ROM and spent few days parsing the various post in the corresponding section of the forum.
The installation procedure states that to go to JB we need to have HBOOT v1.23. In addition it is indicated that :
{Do the following only if you have hboot version 0.43.
Download this ROM. You need to flash this RUU after you relock but before you flash firmware. Your hboot version will say 1.12}

Now my question :
My HOX indicates HBOOT v1.12 without any upgrade, do I need to upgrade it or not ?
Thanks in advance for your help

If you have 1.12, there is no need to upgrade to 1.12 before upgrading to 1.28.
To upgrade to 1.28, keep following the instructions.

Yes you do. But first check if you have the right CID.

Also, make sure you really do want to upgrade to 1.28 because without S-OFF you can't go back to an hboot with a lower version number.

Thanks for the warning. BTW, how do you check whether if your are S-ON or S-OFF ?
I have been able to define my HBOOT version and my CID but this info...
Is there any thread summarizing hot to get all details about the HOX ?
Thanks again.
At the top of the bootloader it says either S-OFF or S-ON
why ?
Hi,
Wat is the benefit of upgrading to a higher hboot ?

So the hboot version only affects sense roms?
ifsow what does hboot represend ?
because i dont get why would it be good for sense roms but not for non sense roms on the same device.
they have to update or fix some things in those different version right ?
at the start of last year a fix whas published for the bad battery life.
The fix whas supposed to add 10 to 20 % to battery life.
just now i saw a post from somebody asking how to do this fix and they told him it whas fixed in version 1.28 / 1.29
it whas not clear to me if they where refering to hboot version but i think they did.
i'm pretty confused about this, could you help me clarrify a bit ?

Marshmallow upgrade help

OK so I know I'm late to upgrading to marshmallow but i haven't gotten it to work on my htc one m9. may carrier is AT&T. Before the marshmallow update was released, I rooted and installed viper one on my m9 in hopes of recieving the update quicker. When Marshmallow was released, I was able to flash new marshmallow roms successfully, but my phone would never boot into the rom. It would always send me back to the bootloader. I realized that I would need a firmware update in order to run marhsmallow successfully, but I am having trouble updating the firmware. Since i rooted my phone and have a custom recovery and custom rom, I am no longer receiving OTA updates from htc. How will I be able to update the firmware manually. Also my phone is S-On, if that makes a difference.
Thanks for the help.

Ok so i found the correct RUU file. sku 502 firmware 2.11.502.18. thats what it says on my phone in download mode. once i flash this ruu I will have the stock htc rom and be able to recieve ota upgrades for marshmallow, correct?
Correct. Alternatively you could extract the RUU.zip from the latest 502 M9 RUU.exe which can be found on HTC's website and flash it with the instructions in the readme thread. A guide for the extraction is linked in the RUU section of the readme thread, as well. This was you wouldn't need to install the OTAs.

That is more than odd. You should be able to receive and install the missing OTAs if you manually search for them.
Can you please download the latest 502 RUU from HTC's website, extract the *.zip file with the instructions that are linked in the readme thread and flash the *.zip as you did with the 2.x one?
