I get bootloader version error

I see the image version I already have is higher than the version image I am trying to install from the RUU.
How can I fix this?

CID HTC__J15
See : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30999119&postcount=1888

I am downloading it now, however the name Europe in the RUU made me think that this RUU doesn't support Arabic keyboard while the ROM I had before had Arabic keyboard.

There is no Arabic Keyboard in this RUU but can find it in various thread.
Most important is get your device up and running.

it doesnt look like the taiwan ROM is flashable on mainland chinese version of t328w because of CID difference.
That's exactly the point!
I am trying to flash a Taiwan version of the ROM. But becouse of this SID difference, I'm unable to do it.
Any good soul knows how to do it? Bypass, change or fix this SID difference issue?
Best regards,
you need to flash a china version, then replace the rom and boot file with the taiwan rom

what u need to do is the following:
1) *skip this step if your phone is still locked* if you have unlock your bootloader, you need to relock it using the same tool that unlocked the bootloader
2) download the RUU version of the original ROM. RUU_PRIMO_DS_ICS_40A_HTCCN_CHS_CU_1.35.1402.1_Radio_1.04.34D.11_20.11.30.11U_release_256137_signed.exe
address is here:
http://dl.dbank.com/c0ys4u58d7#
3) go into fastboot mode, and execute the RUU file.
4) follow the steps and your phone should be back to original factory states.
the thing to make sure: your bootloader needs to be locked to flash RUU.

This instruction I have follow many time already, but no luck.
I guest this only work when our device not yet receive 1.56.xxx OTA update. When we receive such this OTA update, our bootloader has been updated to 1.14.0002 which is newer then the 1 in the ROM you suggested to me. Finally, the update is failed with a report "HBOOT is older, update failed".
Anyway, really thanks for your great time for suggesting. And till now I have found solution on this issue, is that you could use the, what they called mini-RUU of China ROM (it's also same version suggested above, without HBOOT, and some other part of image file). Using flash zip file method in recovery mode, it work and you need to update software after complete flashing.

this is because old Kernel is used. I've got the same problem when played with roms on my device.
Try to unpack boot_signed.img from rom.zip of original RUU and flash it via fastboot
fastboot flash boot boot_signed.img
This should help.

Have you relocked your device? You will need to go in to fastboot and type the following command:
fastboot oem lock
You can then install the stock software.
I would recommend this guide for more in depth detail.

Thanks for answer. I relocked the bootloader but still i get an error when i try to install the RUU. Before using custom roms i had 2.16 versioon of the rom updated OTA and i had found only 1.26.206 version of O2 RUU rom. Can I install it or i have to wait until a newer version appears?

Are you sure it was the o2 ruu you need? You can find out which version you need by typing this in fastboot:
fastboot getvar version-main
the version i need is 2.17.206.2 but i could not find it anywhere.

As far as I can see there is not yet a released ruu for this version on o2. You can keep up to date with new ruu releases through this thread, and possibly it may get added in the future.:

[Q] Can't flash the device to stock rom using RUU

Hi,
I'm trying to restore from custom rom to stock rom.
My phone is CID ORANG216 and I'm using xx.xx.65.xx RUU releases.
I have 2 relevant files:
The RUU exe - RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_Orange_CH-Generic_2.17.65.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_275590_signed.exe
OTA UPDATE for the device - OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_Orange_CH-Generic_3.16.65.2-2.17.65.2_release_296426gf2xgpisn8xs0fti
After flashing the stock recovery, boot_signed.img, rebootRUU, the RUU update fails because of version failure, I suspect that the HBOOT version is the trouble maker.
My phone is unlocked with S-ON with HBOOT 1.36 and the HBOOT in the RUU is 1.12 .
Due to S-ON I cant change the hboot.
I can't seem to find a workaround for it and install the RUU.
Any ideas??
I even thought about compiling the latest JB release from htcdev development center and flash it...

You need to relock the bootloader to use install RUU . It has nothing to do with hboot . Just take note that you have to use the RUU that is on the same build or higher .

The only RUU exe available is the one i mentioned and its old
I don't know how to use the OTA file without the original stock rom already installed...
if it helps anything the command "fastboot getvar version-main" on my device gives:
version-main: 3.16.65.2

Like I mentioned . You have to look for the version that's the same with yours or higher to use the RUU . I guess you can't go back to stock until you find the RUU of your version or higher . Maybe you could try a stock ROM nand backup ?

I don't think your questions relate to the subject here.
Anyway, custom roms are based on the stock rom and most of the times include a file called firmware.zip, look it up in the costum_rom.zip file.
hboot updates are tricky on this device and for upgrading it (from ICS to JB supported hboot) you need a special firmware built for your specific htc one x model (look at the manuals for more instructions).
For the battery saving, I think it depends on the rom you install and not the kernel (or maybe both because they come together?), check out for old posts about that issue, I'm sure its not the first time someone asks about it.
hope it helps

[Q] HTC One X Stock Recovery confusion.

Hi All
Have spent ages searching but cannot quite find my exact circumstances or the required files.
I am trying to do OTA update but it keeps failing as it is not a stock recovery.
CID is HTC__001
Current firmware is 3.14.401.31
recovery CWM 5.8.4.0
The phone detects and downloads software update 3.20.401.1 but install fails when it boots into recovery, I have tried installing the downloaded zip directly from SD card in the recovery but it still fails.
So I assume I need the stock recovery but don't know which one - have looked at the following page but nothing matches my current firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545227
I have found this guide http://www.androidauthority.com/one-x-revert-stock-recovery-76854/ but am concerned that there is no mention of CID or current firmware, just one single download.
Most grateful of any advice
Thanks
Download and flash the recovery, if it doesn't work just reflash the Cwm recovery that you're using now, can't hurt anything by trying

Have RRU for 3.14.401.31 you just can lock the bootloader and run the RUU then you will be complete stock and update to latest 4.18.401.4
you don't need exact recovery, just the general recovery for your version which is here>>>>>https://www.dropbox.com/s/2eecmiricuxv7u0/recovery.img
But to be honest do as @Thant says and just use the ruu which is available for your version and then all your problems are solved. get your ruu from here>>>>>http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=Endeavor yours is at the very bottom, then follow the instructions to install it from here>>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104672
Thanks will give that a go. @nOtgotaclue Links much appreciated
Thanks very much chaps.
With your instructions I've got the phone back to stock with the RUU in the link and have now done OTA updates up to 4.22 / 4.18.401.4.

Reverting back to stock from LeeDroid

Hi,
I recently bought a HTC One M8 and I'm realizing now the phone is running a custom ROM called LeeDroid, upon research I find out it's a pretty awesome ROM.
However, I would love to go back to the stock version that HTC provides.
It's currently running the following:
Android Version: 5.0.2
HTC Sense Version: 7.0
Software Number: LeeDrOiD_One_M8_S7_V7.4.2
I'm kind of a newbie. If anyone could please guide me back to stock which would also allow me to receive OTA updates it would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

Ok, so this is what I've done so far.
My CID using the CID Getter app off the Play Store was showing: 11111111
I then followed instruction on this site to get my MID: 0P6B12000
Using that MID number on the thread you mentioned, I understood there were two versions of the TWRP Backup, one was 4.16.1540.8 and the other 4.17.1540.9 - I downloaded the later version, is that ok?
I then downloaded the corresponding number under Stock Recovery Collections.
Afterwards I downloaded the relevant TWRP [2.8.7.0 as it says the latest version for the TWRP Backup 4.xx.xxxx.x].
Am I on the right track? Could you dumb down the next steps?
Much appreciated.
If those are your CID & MID, suggest that you get the 4.17.1540.9 RUU instead of going thru nandroids.
4.17.1540.9 backup may not the right one for your device, 4.16.1540.8 is better choice. But 4.17.1540.9 RUU is the best.
Try to search for that RUU or I'll get you the link when I'm home later (in 2 hours)

When you say flash the stock recovery, you mean the 11th step here yes?
Also, why would I update using TWRP? Sorry I'm a little confused.
Thanks
He means that when you perform an official OTA with TWRP it won't work.......bricking the device certainly won't happen. It maybe doesn't boot up that's all (that's certainly NOT a brick) so a reflash of the OS is needed.
You can ONLY perform official OTA with the stock HTC recovery !
