I had been waiting for that for a long time too. Status is different now. You can buy now rather than pre-order . Check the website carefully. It is on sale now...

Not true. I ordered on Friday and the date was and still is 6/6.
I can confirm they have stock, mine has been dispatched and I can track it with the courier.
Amazing. I can't believe it's really available.
Only Samsung would start to release accessories, promised at launch, six months into the phone's life. The same time that many are considering jumping ship. They'd have had my money closer to launch but that window has closed.
For those who are sticking with the GN I hope the dock will prove worth the wait!

I'll be ordering this + some sandpaper for my LTE Nexus
It will fit
So the POGO pins transmit audio as well as power? Just looking at the base of the thing and see what looks like USB and audio in, and there doesn't seem to be room to plug an audio cable to the phone with the lip of the dock impeding it. Definitely interested in this, shall await reviews. Looks like it'll be a tight fit, so will have to remove my TPU case, which isn't a big deal, but I'm afraid of dislodging my screen protector with constantly taking case off and on.

The LTE & GSM versions? Yes, the LTE is slighlty thicker. Given that the car dock is already a very tight fit for the thinner model, it's going to need to shave off a few micrometers to make it fit.

please keep us updated. would love to know if this actually works!
Now they changed it to "Stock Usually Ships In 4 Days"
It looks more promising. The only problem is the price. It is so expensive.
Just Ordered mine w8 for it to come :-D
So I placed a preorder for this on May 10th and haven't received any emails or updates from Expansys saying that the product is now shipping.
Should I order another dock from the link in this thread and cancel/return whichever dock comes second? Has anyone else had this same situation?

So yeah, how does audio work?
I remember reading in the other thread the pins DO NOT transfer audio. It would make no sense how if it did. Magic?
Why is there a aux port next to the usb slot?
(maybe i'm just retarded?)
from what i know, the dock uses bluetooth to send audio.
So u put ur phone in the dock, the dock turns on bluetooth, then the audio is transmitted from the aux port to your cars aux in port.

i sent email to them and they answered they dont know yet when it will be released..
I'm using a generic holder which is now many years old, has served me through a few changes of phone (as has the car it's stuck to), and looks exactly like this one....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Winds...ccessories&hash=item336af87fcb#ht_3406wt_1163
I have the official Samsung car dock on my xmas list and my cheap holder will suffice perfectly well till then.
http://www.expansys-usa.com/samsung...-galaxy-note-5-3-car-charger-included-224728/
Here's the one I ordered
Yeah saw that last night. that is eactly like sgt car dock i have, except for a smaller tray.
Seems sorta pricey- i got my sgt one for 39 before a 20% discount. order directly from sammy....
Fwiw the arm/suction aparatus on my sgt dock is rigid and didnt rotate. this really limits mounting options. . this oem gnote one looks like the same (just different tray).
. . . still looking...most of the universal ones seem to have lots of bulky clamping mechanisms. . .yuck. .

I've sent an email to them as well.
I got the answer that they do not have any plans releasing a holder for Galaxy Note, due to the fact that it has not yet been released.
I got the reply from Brodit on the 26th of October so perhaps they are now looking into creating a holder for the Note...
If anyone wants to email them to create a buzz/demand for the holder, please feel free to do so...
I guess the original car dock won´t work with the flip cover on?

You could save her some money. £34.18 delivered from Handtec....
http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php?xProd=5881
I have been told by one supplier on eBay that the official dock is not compatible with the Note while encased in a gel type skin. It's the same story with the desk dock too. That's put a bit of a dampener on them for me, as they were both on my xmas list. However, weighing up pros and cons I'd rather keep the case on the phone than have the convenience of the official dock. A universal dock and a loose lead will have to do for me, which is what I'm using at the moment.

Official G Note car dock should have the micro usb plug on the dock itself so it's possible to just attach the phone to the dock and you get also the power supply without connecting manually the power supply cable . Finally they made it...

This one I ordered.

I've been using a bracketron vent mount with my galaxy S2 when I got my Note the mount was able to hold it horizontally but not vertically little too much weight up high. When I got the flip case cover I thought this would never work but to my surprise when put the flip top all the way over I can clip the case to the bottom of the mount and holds perfectly in the vertical position. The phone is still supported by the 2 feet at the bottom. The small clip that I used was from Home Depot think it was $.99. Pretty good temporary solution for me.

Got mine from Amazon about a month ago for about $35 shipped overnight.
LOVE.IT.
I run Car Home Ultra and Mort Player for music. Sweet.
Especially nice if you use high-quality MP3s and have a decent head unit. Couple of weeks of non-repeating tunes to carry with me.
Jamming along on the highway and the music softly ramps down to mute when a call comes in ... then unmutes when they hang up.
Sound through the speakers is amazing (use GOOD cables.)
Oh, and get a nice 2.1A USB socket (I like Satechi.)
I have just received my car dock today after ordering it from amazon (uk).
The dock itself is easy to assemble and you have the option of either attaching it to the windscreen or there is an enclosed disc which you can stick on your dashboard and then attach the car dock assembly.
There are two usb cables suppiled (one LONG and the other short) and the long one has an audio adapter joined onto it at the base. There is also a usb charger included.
My phone has a mesh cover and, leaving out an included spacer, I am able to fit the phone into the dock without having to take the cover off.
I have had a quick try out whilst driving and it is an enjoyable experience and that is with using the motorola 'car' app.
This is the first time I have had a car dock and I would recomend this item.
Just a heads up to all you new car dock owners: sure, you could use the window mount and that plastic mount for the dashboard.
But, if you wanted to, you could also use this following product that lets you use the car dock in your vehicle's air vents:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0015A6YN6/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_ap_am_us?ie=UTF8
If you use this adaptor for the air vents, it'll also help in keeping your phone cool while it's on the dock, especially on those hot days where having it on the windshield mount exposes it to the sun's heat even more so.
I've been using this for months now and it works very well and fits the car dock as if it were made for it.
Enjoy!
Love this dock, but it overheats in summer. Also it loses suction occasionally... might break the screen on my transmission stick.

I'm just responding to your overheating/suction issues by saying "you can solve both of those issues by doing this:...".
but if you don't want to put your phone near the vents, that's fine, too.
Just read the post about the vent clip. Looks sweet. Got out for $2.59 shipped on Ebay.

hi just received my long awaited qi wireless pad from china only to find it does not include the receiver part that fits over battery, bahh!!!
does anyone know where i can purchase one from in the UK ,Dont want to wait all that time again ,your help would be greatly appreciated .
sorry, but that seems to be the only choice unless you can find an ebay seller who sells in the UK.
You might want to contact that seller to get them to ship the receiver pad to you.
I would've suggested against getting the transmitter from them to begin with though. apparently the 2nd gen ones are picky and unreliable.

Something you don't want to hear, is these receiver are becoming unreliable just like the transmitter, with cases reported to either DOA or stop working after a while with some of the new batches, there are some good new, it's only a small %.
Apparently it's all related to rushed production with bad QC due to great demand.
Mostly with the name 'Charmlink' printed on the front label, so it's best to ask if there is warranty for them.
Another option for Canada and USA buyers, this guarantees no bulky look because it replaces a new cover for you.:good:

that's pretty slick. Should have been stock from Samsung so cases were built off those specs. I would imagine any case that fits well won't work with that cover. Still pretty sweet setup.
that back piece will not fit with any case whatsoever. It's a different size and you'll either have to mod the case or the battery cover.
The receiver pad by itself would add a slight bump that can be circumvented with a more "restricting" case like the otterbox or the ballistic sg

got my Qi pad from Fasttech today. Ordered the 28th, shipped the 30th. Arrived today. Currently $14.80 shipped Also got the wireless charger from Nokia. $38 with company discount (otherwise about $50) from ATT or Verizon. Works like a champ.
Fun Facts
Fits under OEM cover. Small Hump, barely noticeable. (< 1/16 inch hump)
Diztronic TPU Matte Black Case fits great
Charges about 10% in 30 Minutes. Similar to plug.
NFC works fine. Zero issues.
for Reference, I am running DarthStalker X, Stock Kernel.
yup. the Qi receiver pad seems the be the best choice in terms of getting to put your own case of choice as well as not losing NFC at the same time.
I believe the charging speed is a little faster than usb but slower than AC (according to the receiver pad).
the more flexible cases seem to be the ones that can cope with the bump.
Could anyone recommend a trusted website or seller to by the charging pad from?

I've pre-ordered the HTC One and my wife will be getting my One XL which is only about 8 months old now. Her Blackberry has kicked the bucket and she's sick of them now. Eventually all BB fanatics see the light, just takes some longer than others. LOL!
So looking forward to this phone though! Thanks for sharing the desktop stand. I'll be sure to order one to replace the one I have at work now.
OP hasn't mentioned it, but the dock he linked to is compatible with some cases too, so those of you who like to keep your phones cased up may not have to remove them when docking. I can imagine that's quite a bonus.

It really is a huge plus, providing you like using hard shell/TPU cases. :good: I doubt anything much thicker then that would work.
Oooh, that dock looks nice, but the $36 shipping charge (to USA) is 150% of the price of the gadget itself :crying:
Will check out the e-bay ones though ... thanks!
think i might invest in one of these:good:
eBay links!!

I actually just found and ordered the exact same dock from eBay!
Dock >> http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=200912701262
Nice Snap-on case I ordered that should work with the dock >> http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=151012519977
Thanks ordered one
That dock was shown in an earlier thread but there wasn't anyplace to buy it from. It just showed up on Amazon but it's not setup with a price yet. I bookmarked it so I can check every now and then. My phone is still two weeks away...

Fantastic! Ordered one. Thanks!
Here's a cradle exactly like the Kidigi Cover-Mate one but cheaper (I imagine) and for sale already!

Anybody some experiences with these docks from Ebay already? The micro USB connection on the docks is in the middle where the connection on the One is a bit more to the right. Question: will it fit? (not blend :silly
Desk holder ,looks nice

Is it only for charging or it is connected to pc aswell?
Mines just arrived and I can confim that it will work with a pc via the included usb cable or to charge the unit using your phones adapter. It just won't do both simultaneously as it only has one socket.

These are extremely similar to a dock I have for my S3. Very basic, but good.

The Seideo Dilex (Active) cases are now available in black and ready to ship. I ordered mine yesterday.
http://www.seidioonline.com/Google-Nexus-7-2013-s/9144.htm
Here are some pics of the case, if there are certain pics you'd like just let me know.
The N7 is 5/16" thick weighing 295 grams, the case (without the stand) adds and extra 1/4" to the thickness and increases the weight by 104 grams.

Yes they are, I have one for my Note 3 that I use a lot and I have one on my 2012 N7.
I also have one for my 2012 N7 and have been anxiously waiting for this. I would prefer the red, to match the other one, and my phone case, but I might just bite the bullet and get the black. I'm tired of dealing with the piece of crap Asus travel cover that's a pain in the butt. Plus I got an email with a $5 off code that expires Monday. So if the red isn't out by then, black it is.

I hear ya, I really want the blue case but the black will do, I've been anxiously waiting for them to come out also.
I just got my case in this afternoon, I'll get some pics up in the morning. My device finally feels "safe".
Pics added to the first post.
I wish Amazon had this cover on sale. The SEIDIO website prices are a little too high. Had this cover on my 2012 model and still has on my Note II. Really good cover.
is the power button a better feel than naked?

I like the feel of it in the case since the button sticks out a bit more now and is a little firmer.

If wireless charging works with other cases I don't see why it wouldn't with this case. It doesn't add that much thickness to the back of the device.
Waiting for them to be available on Amazon. These are really good cases.

Did it. Bought the black one with the multipurpose cover. A little too costly but I know this cover is worth its price (have been using it on my NOTE II and used it on my old nexus 7).
Thanks for the coupon code guys. Appreciate that.
I like the case. If it ever falls below 20.00 I will grab one. That's my max for the Nexus 7.2 since It only cost me 150.00. I was willing to splurge a little more for the Nexus 10 or the Nexus 5 since the investment was larger.
Thanks for the excellent pictures!

I sprung for the quality case. Added security/protection for me so worth a few extra bucks :good:
I ordered the case then a few hours later I regretted not ordering the multipurpose cover and emailed seidio requesting cover only.
Recieved this email, :good:
