Try tokaplot widgets they show all kinds of system info including temperature in a graph format so you can keep an eye on what's been happening whilst playing games etc

hi, i use Elixir2 it is an widget app with bunch of usefull things (battery percentage, temperature and current is among them)
Theres this app called "Cool Tool" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ult#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImRzLmNwdW92ZXJsYXkiXQ..)
It creates an nice overlay for system stats. I've kept mine on the bottom right, where the annoying black bar is, so the stats aren't really in the way. It's been convenient so far, to monitor the temp at any time
Heres a screenie...
Recently I'm using Minimalistic Text App to place some interesting stuff on desktop, and it can also display the battery temperature.
You can also download battery monitor widget from market and the temp notification.
See my taskbar in my screenshot.

Is there a tweak to allow me to have a brightness of les than 10%?
Sometimes the lowest just isn't low enough. Brightness at 1% on a HP TouchPad is a great hack, Does well at 3am in bed unlike what feels like a blinding screen.

What RoM you using now? If its a Sense RoM I think your stuck with default setting. With MIUI RoM you can set all the brightness settings yourself.
Screen filter from the market is what I use.
You will get better results with an amoled screen.

Using CM7
Quick Settings says its at 1%...
Screen Filter I guess kinda works, It'd more like lights out mode on flash videos

Try SuperDim.

There is a thread here in XDA for it.

Use an app called wakelock on the play store and select the first option "PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK"

Just change the sleep setting to never in display menu.

NO that does not work
Not being rude but if you want just the audio why not convert them to an audio file? Then you can just turn the screen off.
There loads for windows/mac/linux and even a few for android.

yeah that is one solution but i really want to know how to turn off the screen with video still playing, cause i dont want to have both audio and video files separately for the same media file
This app has a play in background option which should be what you're looking for

Got my Note 2 yesterday and love it.
One question, is it possible to change the battery guage at all? Just wondering whether that blob of constant colour is going to 'burn in'on the display.
Any way to hide the top bar or cycle colours, position etc?
Would be good if it slowly scrolled or colour cycled etc.
Just a thought...

Yeah good question, ive always hated the battery meter on stock roms, as far as I know you cant alter it.

I'm looking for an app that displays the battery temperature next to battery percent on the top of my screen. I've used a battery saver that had our but it used up too much of my cpu and battery. Hoping to find just the top icon. Thanks

Bat Stat from the market. Is a widget that shows percent, voltz and temp.
Here's an old screen shot of what it looks like. Top left corner. View attachment 1503623

Battery Life by Curvefish is another widget that shows percent and temp (in a more traditional emptying battery graphic).

Love the m8 but hate the fact my bottom row icons show on every screen including the blink feed is there any way to stop my icons showing on blink feed ?
(Meaning phone , messages and other two I have )

I'm hoping for a work around on this also.
It takes up too much of the screen.

Still loving my M8 anyway.....

Personally I'm on Venom Rom where I can set the Icons to transparent, but perhaps Sense Tollbox for Xposed could do the job too?
I wish htc would fix it as it's the only thing which I'm my opinion lets the phone down ... Don't want to change the rom to sort it as I don't want to void my warranty
