I don't want unlock bootloader cause I am already S Off also if your in sensation you can alpharev it no need for petitions. What I want is an upgrade like sense 3.5 or ics for wildfire s, bcoz greedy sensation chefs just likes donations. I don't give a f**k. just upgrade our phones then we don't need cfws.

what are you talking about?
Can't you read, grab your eyeglasses grandpa. in short HTC should upgrade our roms.
What it would mean is that if HTC updated the hboot and nobody found an exploit you could still flash a rom

hi all,
htc announced htc desire c and the specs are almost same....any devs intrested to port desire c to wildfire s....we get android 4.0.3 skinned wid sense ui 4.0
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4759&idPhone2=3777 comparision of desire c wid wildfire s
my guess is that it will take about a gig for the ROM and that's more space than we have sadly

It is possible just that we need to partition our SD Card
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using xda premium
maybe possible for s-off users? since they can change the allocation of the internal memory.....maybe they could make say 800mb for rom and only 200mb for internal storage...but then use data2sd to give you space for apps etc? just an idea.
might take a bit of work to get it going though as there are some hardware differences. (i'm not a dev, so I have no idea how hard or easy this would be)

Well , if the phone has a 4GB internal memory doesn't mean at ALL that the system is more than 150 MB , the amount of internal storage is undependent on the system , but the system is dependent only by that Size of System < Free Space ... Anyways , when the Desire C is out , I want to make a hustle around here , even if the ICS itself wasn't ported , i will do my job

How do I set the mount points for my phone??also I need the ftf file for my phone pls
Sent from my HTC One V using xda premium
The hell you want with mount points??? Also why would you want an ftf file??
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
Ok forget the ftf file but I need the mount points since the name off my phone isnt listed in the supported models to use the kitchen ,so I have to a make file with ro.product name and in it put the mount points(as the dev said)

To do? I have used the kitchen and it works fine for me....if you're set on it check my thread for custom recovery and check the git I linked ALL mount points are in there.
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
That's what the dev put in the description:::: IMPORTANT: This kitchen has support for the following HTC devices:
WARNING: If your HTC device is not listed below, and it does NOT use a 'YAFFS'-based filesystem (e.g. usually the mid-range and high-end devices don't use YAFFS), do not attempt to flash a ROM that you built with this kitchen. Instead, you must do the following if your device is NOT listed:
Create a file under the kitchen's /tools/edify_defs folder, with the name being the same as the value of ro.product.device (found in your device's /system/build.prop file).
See the template file in the edify_defs folder to see how to set the mount points inside the file you created. Look at the other files in that folder for examples on how to do it.

If I'm not mistaken, the mount points should be in the root folder.
In /proc/mounts or something like that. Use a file browser to open the text file.
First come smiles. Then come lies. Last is gunfire.
here is what you want....
remove the extension and put in the edify_defs folder
Your awesome mate thankyou

I'm pretty sure this is the most ridiculous question our wildfire devs will ever hear.... but anyways here it goes!...
I was wondering if kernel 3.x is applicable/possible/needed for wildfire???.(the devs can laugh now!)...It's just that I'm currently following many device forums on xda and they seem to be pretty excited about the kernel 3.0 stuff.....I just wanted to know if our wildfire can have the luxury of kernel 3.x ...
And obviously from the question itself you will know that I'm a complete newbie ..:silly:

Well I don't profess to know what needs to be done but I imagine that all the drivers will need to be ported, as well as that fact that we have no gpu. That could cause issues with the kernel hacks that are already in place just so we can run gingerbread, let alone jellybean. Which I think is needed for the 3.x kernel. But again I don't know, I'm just speculating.
