How do I set the mount points for my phone??also I need the ftf file for my phone pls
Sent from my HTC One V using xda premium
The hell you want with mount points??? Also why would you want an ftf file??
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
Ok forget the ftf file but I need the mount points since the name off my phone isnt listed in the supported models to use the kitchen ,so I have to a make file with ro.product name and in it put the mount points(as the dev said)

To do? I have used the kitchen and it works fine for me....if you're set on it check my thread for custom recovery and check the git I linked ALL mount points are in there.
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
That's what the dev put in the description:::: IMPORTANT: This kitchen has support for the following HTC devices:
WARNING: If your HTC device is not listed below, and it does NOT use a 'YAFFS'-based filesystem (e.g. usually the mid-range and high-end devices don't use YAFFS), do not attempt to flash a ROM that you built with this kitchen. Instead, you must do the following if your device is NOT listed:
Create a file under the kitchen's /tools/edify_defs folder, with the name being the same as the value of ro.product.device (found in your device's /system/build.prop file).
See the template file in the edify_defs folder to see how to set the mount points inside the file you created. Look at the other files in that folder for examples on how to do it.
Code:
HTC Aria / Liberty
HTC Desire
HTC Desire HD / Inspire 4G
HTC Desire S
HTC Desire Z / Vision / T-Mobile G2
HTC Dream / G1
HTC Droid Eris
HTC Evo 3D
HTC Evo 4G
HTC Evo 4G LTE
HTC Evo View 4G (untested)
HTC Evo Shift 4G
HTC Flyer (untested)
HTC HD2
- Use NAND ROM method (Please follow this thread for details)
HTC Hero / G2 Touch
HTC Incredible
HTC Incredible 2
HTC Incredible S
HTC Legend
HTC Magic / myTouch 3G
HTC myTouch 3G Slide
HTC myTouch 4G / Glacier
HTC Nexus One
HTC One X
- no ROM support, but de-odexing only! (Here is the guide to de-odex)
HTC One XL
HTC Rezound
HTC Sensation
HTC Tattoo / Click
HTC Thunderbolt
HTC Wildfire / Buzz
HTC Wildfire S

Always good to be sure and yes you can find them that way

If I'm not mistaken, the mount points should be in the root folder.
In /proc/mounts or something like that. Use a file browser to open the text file.
First come smiles. Then come lies. Last is gunfire.
here is what you want....
remove the extension and put in the edify_defs folder
Your awesome mate thankyou

what are you talking about?
Can't you read, grab your eyeglasses grandpa. in short HTC should upgrade our roms.
What it would mean is that if HTC updated the hboot and nobody found an exploit you could still flash a rom

the 'search' function on xda is a magical place that only some are capable of finding or using. Those who can't are often scared or mystified as to what answers may already be on xda. ^_^

You can install apks by enabling unknown sources in settings without root.
If you unlock you can install custom roms and root.

You've done a mistake by posting on a HoX forum cos the majority here love their phones. Newly created account flaming? Original? No. Reported? Yes.

s-off isn't the real problem, however there used to be an app in the play store that allowed you to doul boot your android phone

Try installing this on your phone, and see if it'll work. Used to use it myself to dualboot on the Sensation.
Boot manager: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwxLDEsImNvbS5kcngyLmJvb3RtYW5hZ2VyLmxpdGUiXQ
Does it work have you try it?
How would boot img be flashed?

Hi, I tried to make it work and failed so far. Was a great app on my desire hd and sensation but I think devs have stopped working on it.
I tried manual setup of settings but no luck. I'd love to know if you get it to work.
Fyi, I am s-off and have the paid version of bootmanager.

Great, I kept getting my emails bounced because their mail box had hit quota. If that's fixed then maybe they are back on the case.
Cheers
