Long story short wanna know what you guys recommend please? I bought me self a pair of what i thought beats for £23 pounds and well were the fakes and basically got done for those. Second they are not that great and would like to find out what you guys recommend please.
If i had the money i would get a pair of Beats but really do not think they are worth that much. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
If you are looking for quality around that mark uoull be hard pressed.
My suggestion is to go and try a pair of shure e4's. They are around the same price as the beats buds.

145 pounds for a pair of earphones i will pass thanks if i win the lottery maybe
These are simply outstanding value for money, sound fantastic, and you wont find them cheaper than Amazon! They have them on sale! Normally £40 to £45!!!...
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jays--Jays-Three-Heavy-Earphones/dp/B003EV68SU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1337355221&sr=8-1
They are not just good at bass either. Decent response across the range. Have a nice tangle-free cable, and have the added accolade of being the most over-packaged product I've ever bought. If you end up getting them, I'd be interested as to how long it took you to get them out their box!
Check the reviews here: http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/a-jays-three-heavy-bass-impact-earphones-p25667.htm
Had mine for 6 months now and they are still going well so don't worry about the review that said they break after a month.
The Sennheiser CX300 II, or the Sennheiser make are very good, have a look for the cx300 on eBay they are going for about 15 I think which is cheap

Tbh sh cx300/2 are pretty naff. You can get them from play for about twelve quid, and that is about what they're worth.
Monster beats are also pretty bad and have similar characteristics to the cx300s. Although both will suit if you just like dumf dumf dumf with no definition in the middle.
Look for a similarly titled thread to yours, but in dollars (40 not 25 iirc) and you'll find a review site with hundreds of earphones on.

Use the 30 quid and buy two pairs of these mate, cant go wrong. You'll have a backup set that way too in case of emergency.
They sound great and have amazing bass. Nice thick wires too compared to some others.
I would recommend Shure SE215, or Phonak Audeo PFE 022 .

Much better detail and bass response plus the a jays leak sound like crazy.

Well the thread title says you want headphones that cost more than 25 bucks. I'm assuming you meant less than 25. There are very few earbuds that are good for such a low cost. Me, I used the one provided with the phone.
Good ear buds go for more around the 100 price range though. I recommend these http://www.klipsch.com/image-S4A-headphones
I don't own a pair but I tried my friends, man, they are pretty good.

I use smokin buds by skull candy literal every day in the gym, and my main music ranges from meek mills to ffdp and everything in between, they hold up to it all and never have blown on max volume all day. Plus there are tons of colors to choose from. $25 everywhere you go. And even cheaper most places

Although they don't go in the ear canal, the Gumy earbuds by JVC are, by far, the best sounding earbuds I've ever heard for under $25. They are almost as good as my Klipsch s4 earbuds and tend to be more comfortable since they are disc shaped and sit on the outer edge of the ear. They look similar to the Apple earbuds, but produce a much richer sound than the Apple buds.
I would rate the Klipsch s4 buds as the overall best sounding ones I own, followed closely by the JVC Gumy buds. They sound great with the Beats equalizer on my HTC Rezound. Both are better than Skullcandy FMJ earbuds and Skullcandy inkd earbuds, IMHO. Keep in mind that I listen to extreme metal and don't like too much bass in my earbuds.
Gumy earbuds are $9 at Walmart or Target. The Klipsch s4 are $80 at Worst Buy.

I'm using Meelectronics M9P, pretty good for something under $25 as well.
IMO the M9P's bass does slightly overpower the mids, and I personally find that vocals are slightly recessed as well. But it's good enough for my commuting needs
I'm using creative ep 630.
They are great, just remember to glue those ear buds to the thing itself our you're going to lose them for sure
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004S7Q8CA/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details I got those, and they are amazing for the price at around 15 pounds.

If you find it "TL;DR", skim through the your desired price range, and note down those with the highest(>8.0) Sound and Value ratings, then with your options narrowed down, read his comments on their sounds, and details like what's included in the box, build quality etc.
If you're really not in a rush, go one price-range tier higher, as you can often find them under discount such that they actually fit within your budget.

Sennheiser cx200
I am currently in the market for a new good set of earbuds. I don't really like the look or feel of the cans so please don't suggest those. I need something that is plenty loud since I have hearing loss from the army I have to have my volume all the way up plus using the increased volume from my volume+ app. The problem with that is the sound starts to become real distorted I am using from either a heavy bass line or bass drum/ distortion pedals depending on what time of music I'm listening to. Right now my Sony earbuds I am using couldn't even handle Andrea bocelli and that's Italian opera that has no bass at all.

I would say that, yes, they are loud. I don't use volume + or anything, but when I turn the volume all the way up, they are quite loud, and I never get bad distortion.
One other thing, sort of in line with soap's comment, is that these bus are comfortable, and very snug in the ear so you don't have alot of sound escaping.
Thank ya much

Well as everyone knows Beats are ridiculously overpriced, the sound they provide is nowhere near the price they charge, yes they do look nice but just way too expensive. So I shopped around and found what are essentially beats without the same price tag (RRP they are but sell for much cheaper on ebay), the headphones I refer to are the Monster Purity HD's. As everyone knows Monster makes Beats, the Purity HD's are essentially Solo HD's with a rectangular ear cup, slightly less bass and clearer sound. Same headband and everything, really nice looking cans, got them today after winning them on ebay for £38 brand new and sealed.
I think the reason for how cheap they sell is they have been made in conjunction with Nokia for WP7 phones so uninformed people dont realise they are made by the same company as beats and think they are Nokia headphones, good news is also the cable with the ControlTalk controls works right out of the box with the S3, that means answer/end calls, play/pause music, turn volume up/down using the controller without ever touching your phone. Awesome. Anyway thought it might be of use to people who like the look of beats but not the pricetag they come with. Enjoy.
Thanks for the heads up. I've started shopping around as well and couldn't justify dropping the $$$ on Bose or those Beats headphones. I'll take a look at these.

If you are looking at $100 headphone consider the Klipsch X10s. They originally retailed for $350 and are some of the most comfortable and best sounding in ear headphones on the market. http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Image-X10-Noise-Isolating-Earphone/dp/B000WAHFBK They were doing a sale a while ago for $89.99 but they can still be found on ebay for $100.

This is what I'm currently using and was told by several people it would support multiple phones. It does, sometimes...weird I know. The concept behind these I think is good. I personally hate bluetooth and hate earphones. These if they would work perfect the entire time I would love. I think I'm going to be taking them back to the Sprint store this week and looking in to some other options as well.
I have no problem paying the high dollar for them but only if they do everything I want.

Yeah got mine the other week, great sound from the headphones, nice design to go with the phone and a compatible remote. What more do you want for 30£? :good:
My headphones are Etymotic ER-4P. (This model has been discontinued, but the ER-4PT is very similar).
My requirements for headphones are somewhat unusual. First, I'm partially deaf, which means I need high-end sound quality. There is obviously a point of diminishing returns - when the distortion/noise introduced by the phone itself is significantly greater than that introduced by the headphones; but anything less than high-end sound means I can't understand dialog in a downloaded movie or TV show. (Also, when I do listen to music, it's classical, and that is much more vulnerable to distortion than modern stuff). Second, I do a lot of listening on trains on the London Underground; shutting out as much background noise as possible is therefore a major priority.
I don't usually move around too much while listening - someone who wants to go the gym or go jogging would want a different model. And the ER-4PT is not a headset - there's no microphone, so you can't make calls with it, and there's no track-switching control. (If that's an issue then the next model down does have a headset equivalent called the HF2).
Etymotic aren't as good value now as they were when I bought mine, but sound quality is very good, and exclusion of external noise is truly superb - officially they reduce it by 35-42dB, depending on frequency. (The level of noise isolation is the same on much cheaper Etymotic models, although obviously the sound quality isn't as good).
I've got Bose AE2i and Mie2s
Works really well imo

You should go check the Headfi forum. I'm a regular poster there. One thing to note about the HTC One is that they have excellent driving capabilities thus making the use of an external amp useless unless you're trying to drive something like K701s.
To put things into perspective, they drive my 600ohm DT880s perfectly with a mild spike in volume at about the <500Hz range.
I personally like to use them with my m100s when I'm out and about.
They should drive IEMs no problem. I would even say that they're overkill for a sensitive earphone like the S4. They sound great with se215s.
Tbh the stock IEMs are suprisingly good. Great bass extension but also a considerable amount of mid-bass hump leading to some sound corrruption in the mids. Highs are lacking but for what they are I definitely would not recommend spending 100$ for IEMs like the S4 for what is in my opinion a very mild upgrade.
Just use the stock phones.

Hi guys, i've been using the headphones that come with the One since i got them, but they mysteriously stopped working yesterday. I think i may have accidentally damaged the cables, anyways.... I was wondering if anyone had any good headphones they could suggest for under $100. I've heard some really great things about the Klipsch S4A lineup from other forum members and friends, and i was just wondering if any One owners had any experience with them. :good:
Just get them they are awesome

I'll vouch for them... I've owned every set of Klipsch headphones and they all are better than any headphones you'll get with a phone. The only ones I'd recommend against are the low-end over-the-ear armature units they made on their first batch back in 2008.
I bought a pair of Yamaha EPH-30WH when they were on sale for $22.
Combined with Beats Audio they sound amazing! The bass is right where it needs to be, everything is so clear and I'm starting to notice instruments and effects and details in songs I just haven't been able to hear with my previous ones. Read the reviews on amazong:

I use the new urbeats .. .the sound is so clear....

I have a 2yo set of Senn IE6s. Quite nice. I paid about $100 when I got them.
I personally use the Beats Tour.
Yes, they're very expensive BUT
sound quality is really good. Compared to the stock HTC headphones that came with the One and UrBeats (I got both with my One), well... The htc and urbeats sound very dull, even though these are pretty darn good headphones too I hear people say. I gave the UrBeats to my sis whose headphones broke and kept on listening with my Tours happily. They have released a tours 2.0 though, so I'm a bit outdated now
(they also released beats studio 2.0)
I've also heard great things about V-Moda
I use some £5 monoprice in ears which are surprisingly good considering their cost.

Munito billets, nuff said. The bass on these blow beats out if the water, they look like bullets and feel more premium than beats and cost 70 bucks

The best head phones I ever bought are the incipio f38's. You can pick them up on amazon for about 30 bucks. You won't find anything under 100 bucks that performs like them.
Beats headsets are not worth the money. You are just paying to give dr dre free advertising with that big ugly logo on the side. Children in korea or China made them at a cost of 20 bucks max they do sound good but not for what you pay for them. Im rocking sonix 3s headset they are the best ear buds I have ever had they match the htc one style perfect too.

Hi thanks man, ive done a bit of research and they look pretty good.
I've been trying out a variety of earbuds lately with my HTC One and between the Sony MH1C, V Moda Remix and Munitio Billets, I'll say I'm very happy with the Sony buds. The clarity of the frequency range(1 Hz-20kHz) is very nice, well-controlled and works for a variety of genres and it's one of the few earbuds/headsets where I've not heard that annoying static/hiss during quieter parts of songs. All three of those earbuds go for around $30-40, but the MH1C I was only able to get for that price at Negri, otherwise they go for $80 direct from Sony.
Beats headphones are garbage. They leak sound like crazy and all they focus on is bass. The clarity is terrible.

I have a set of Sony XBA-1's and I love them. They do a great job of balancing out the Beats over bassing of everything. They are highly reviewed abd very affordable. I got them on clearance at Target for $21

3rd party compatibility
Has anybody experienced issues where 3rd party (cheap) headphones don't work properly?
I have tried about 4 different ones, and with all of them there are problems. One of them skips tracks and adjusts volume when you wiggle the jack plug, others register single click as a go back to previous track.
Only the ones that came with the phone work correctly in all areas, but i have got audio coming out of only one side so need to replace them.
Got some official ones ordered from the site, but they were £30. Is this a common issue with the HTC one? Or could my phone be damaged?
Thank you.
i've tested Sony and Bose from two friends for a week, after i decided that my beats makes me happier
