Heyy
I Just installed MooDeD ICS v80.2 Rom on my Arc with DoomKernel v5 with WiFi Modules.
I'm unable to recieve messages. Although Everything else icluding sending messages, calls etc works fine.
This problem has happened many times before aswell.
Any Solutions anyone?
P.S - If it helps, I use Go SMS, So I install that, restore my prev messages. and then by Root Explorer, Remove the default messaging app.
Isn't it unsafe to delete the default messaging app, is it? I think its not the same as the Home.apk that you can delete if you have a replacement app. Have a look at system cleanup from the play store. You can see there detailed info of your system apps as well as data apps.

You set up your APN for your Service Provider.......???
Perhaps they will send out settings OTA by to you SMS?? (OTA is Over The Air)!!
I'm just supporting irishpancake for his answer..
but I just want to warn you..uninstall that rom manager app for ur own good..
Ive had problems sending SMS since i got the phone as well....
It will send eventually, but I have to hit resend over and over...
I can never trust if my SMS arrives or not, so I have enabled delivery reports just to be sure.
I'm being patient with it, in the hope a decent custom ROM is released [not an optimised Samsung ROM]
Hey Everyone sorry to post a new thread but couldn't find this specific problem anywhere on here or google.
Starting yesterday whenever gosms is open I cannot receive text messages. even the stock messaging app will not receive texts. I am able to send but not receive with both the stock messaging app and gosms. also oddly I get a notification that I have a text but I do not receive the actual text. when I freeze gosms pro in titanium I am able to receive texts properly again. I'm not sure if it's relevant or not but I installed light flow around the time this started. I have since uninstalled lightflow but the problem persists as long as gosms is enabled.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling GO SMS pro. I've tried restoring GO SMS pro through titanium. I have also tried clearing the cache, clearing the dalvik cache and fixing permissions through CWM to no avail.
My phone info is as follows:
Galaxy S3 Canada i747
provider=rogers
version of gosms pro 4.63
rooted stock rogers rom
your help is appreciated!
Hi guys!
I just updated my s to jb.
I was in slim before(4.2.2)
the problem is after I restored my sms conversation.apk crash.
Is there a way to recover my sms maybe modifying something or using another apology.
I even tried older versions of conversation, no luck at all
Thanks
Try to clear data of the conversation/messaging apps. This won't delete your messages but would restore the settings. It might work.
Or, you might has restored too many sms than the app itself can store
Hi guys,
I'm using CM11 nightlies for quite a while. But since two weeks I can't send SMS anymore. Receiving is no problem, making calls also no problem, but just sending SMS doesn't work for me. I already tried several things (using Hangouts as SMS application instead of the default messaging app), did a full wipe, flashed a MJ9 modem of Joeldroid. But none of these things I tried solved the problem. What could it be? Are there some things I can try?
Thanks a lot!

I have no other keyboard installed than the stock CM-keyboard. Can't believe it conflicts. Have now CyanogenmodX installed (CM11 with several tweaks), still I can't send SMS. I begin to think it's a hardware problem.
I had a stock 4.3 P601 which I upgraded to stock 4.4.2.then rooted with CF-Autoroot The upgrade was over OTA after removing root and the new firmware is ND6.
Everything works fine except for one weird problem. I cannot send texts through the stock message app. It opens fine, but the compose box is grayed out.
If I go to the settings to set it as the default messaging app, it does not appear in the list at all! The tablet can send and recieve texts just fine through third party apps like Go SMS, but just does not seem to recognise the stock app.
What could be causing this?
Did you try wiping the cache? If that doesn't help you could uninstall and reinstall the SMS app, apk should be located in system folder. Last resort would be wipe data and reflash through Odin.
Tried wiping cache and dalvik. No luck. Will probably just stay with a 3rd party app as re flashing seems too much of a pain.
Thanks for your suggestion.
