Xperia S JB(211) SMS problem - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi guys!
I just updated my s to jb.
I was in slim before(4.2.2)
the problem is after I restored my sms conversation.apk crash.
Is there a way to recover my sms maybe modifying something or using another apology.
I even tried older versions of conversation, no luck at all
Thanks

Try to clear data of the conversation/messaging apps. This won't delete your messages but would restore the settings. It might work.
Or, you might has restored too many sms than the app itself can store

Can't delete conversations on Arc S

I used My Phone Explorer 1.8.2 few weeks ago to backup the datas (SMS conversations, Pictures, contacts etc.) on my wifes Arc S. After restoring them with MPE, I tried to restore the MMS with MyBackup Root, too. It worked, but after that I couldn't delete any conversation - neither with the stock app nor with one from Google Play. The sorting of the conversations was also mixed up.
Meanwhile I tried different methods: I saved them only with MyBackup Root (only SMS, SMS+MMS) or with MPE, but everytime I try to restore them, I can't delete the conversations, even if I only restore the SMS. It doesn't work anymore! I've the same phone and saving/restoring with MyBackup Root work all the time. I become insane and can't solve this problem. Can someone help me or do have some ideas?
Can you save any to sim then delete.
Not sure if this saves mms or what the limit is

You'll need to delete the data. Restoring sms leads to conversions that can't be deleted.
What do you mean? It works on my phone and which data should I delete? Is it the backup which cause problems?

[Q] MMS gone after 4.2 update

I'm having an issue that I can't seem to work around no matter what I do
I'm trying to update from a 4.1.2 rom to 4.2 (Paranoid Android, but same thing happens if I use any 4.2 rom), but when I do, all of my MMS messages disappear. SMS is still there, and conversation threads have the paperclip icon indicating that the thread contains MMS messages, but when looking at the thread, they are just completely gone.
I initially installed the rom by doing a full wipe, and then restoring data with Titanium Backup. Everything restored fine, except for messages playing up like I already described. I've also tried MyBackup, and get the same issues.
If I restore only MMS with MyBackup, they restore fine, but when I try to restore the SMS, conversation threads won't load until I reboot the phone. And same the other way around, if I restore SMS first, they work, but then MMS prevents conversation threads loading.
I'd really rather not lose all of my messages, and I've been hoping a fix would come up somewhere, but I haven't even heard of anyone else having the same problem, so I'm hoping someone might have some other ideas to try that I haven't already thought of

[Q] Stuck in bootloop after restoring Titanium Backup.

Hey everyone, first time post but a long time browser of the forums. Been flashing ROMs on my One X and have always had a problem of getting stuck in a bootloop when restoring NOT ALL but only some system data such as Mail settings, SMS messages and a few Bookmarks. So I thought I'd sign up and ask you guys the question. Currently I'm running the Team Venom ViperX 3.2.4 ROM but this has happened on previous ROMS that I have tried. Now I know from previous research that you shouldn't restore all system data in Titanium Backup, but surely a few SMS text messages and mail account settings shouldn't cause this? Or maybe im just being really dumb and not understanding the obvious. However I'd like to get an answer from this great community, as im getting tired of doing reset after reset. :fingers-crossed:
Many thanks everyone.
Brad.
It's not recommended to restore system apps/data using titanium. Don't do it especially between different Android versions, or between Sense/AOSP ROMs. It'll mess thing up, like you noticed. If you, for example, backup your mail settings in CM10 and restore in ViperX, it's not going to work.
As a solution, you probably shouldn't restore system data.

Wow, thanks for the extremely fast reply:good:, that has finally put my curiosity to bed lol. Thanks for the advice!
Many thanks.
Brad
One more thing: Instead of titanium, try these lil' apps
SMS Backup
Chrome Sync bookmarks to Google account.
Don't know about email... Have you tried restoring data only?
Yeah, got Chrome already but i'll definitely try sms backup. I managed to get my Mail account settings and SMS texts from Titanium Backup but I wont use TB for system data again!
Many thanks.

[Q] Messaging app blocked on loading after factory reset

Hey guys,
I've done a factory reset this afternoon, and after reinstalling my messaging app (Smitten) and restoring my SMS via Nandroid Manager and SMS backup and restpre (tried the both), my messaging app is blocked on Loading threads .. I've tried with Smitten and stock, i've deleted and restored sms again but still the same issue ..
Can anyone help me ?
Maybe your backup file is damaged? Can you try this backup, for test of course, on another device?
That didn't came from the backups, I had 2 different ones and it did the same thing twice. After several reboots, it works now ... That's was so unusual :3

MMS Restore

Anyone try to restore MMS from another Android phone?
I use SMS Backup and Restore to backup and restore SMS and MMS on my 6P whenever I do a factory reset. It has always worked in Marshmallow and 7.0. I am running 7.1 beta on the 6P and I used the cable to transfer the data to the Pixel. It offered to copy SMS, and it did, but it didn't include MMS.
So I went to my trusty app and backed up all my SMS and MMS and then transferred the xml to the Pixel, where I deleted all the messages and restored the newly created XML with SMS and MMS. Again, I only have SMS on the Pixel. This sounds like a 7.1 problem, and it could certainly be an incompatibility with SMS Backup and Restore, but wanted to see if anyone has been successful with this.
Did you have any luck with this. I am also trying to restore my MMS and have had no luck when I use SMS backup and restore my messages are completely out of order
I finally got an answer from the developer after a long time, and they suggested I try the restore again. I did and it appears to have worked. I was worried I would have duplicate messages, but the app inserted the MMS content in the right place without messing with the SMS.
I don't know why it didn't work the first time. Not sure why your result was different and it was out of order though.
