Will a port of Touchwiz UX on GS3 be possible? It seems really sleek..ish. Just curious....
Well tw is more than a launcher . Its a framework thing too. I am just guessing but itigt be difficult since they'd have to port framework and everything that goes with the new tw.

They probably could port over the launcher before the entire system.

Fear not. I know of a usable UX launcher. I'll post link soon.

You'all have to manually place the files. Flashing it does nothing.

Push the apk to /system/app and the other file to /system/lib. And yes, it will work on just rooted.

If you are talking about 5.5 it says EI22 in the title. It has a lot of ICS looks. Ports of ICS for the Epic are still being worked on and may take a while. Nexus S has a crippled version working and that is an easier port. So GB is the answer.
Ok thanks. That's what I thought. Was wondering why it is called
ICS, that's all.

Think its just the feel of the theming.
Is there an app or a flashable zip that can give one of the ICS launchers the soft buttons at the bottom of the screen??
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
That's not a launcher thing, it is a framework thing in the SystemUI and has to be enabled through edits. I am not sure how to make those edits but why would you want to do this when you have buttons not to mention they take up valuable screen space.
You could try a direct pull of the Launcher2.apk from the Galaxy Nexus but I am sure it's a framework/systemUI thing not a launcher thing.
there is an ice cream sandwich launcher in the market.

Not what he was asking for but i cant blame you
And yeah im guessing it is system ui edits
Also i see no poit of having them
They are a waste of space on the screen since we have realish buttons

Try this, its the ice launcher with the soft buttons doesn't force close as much as the 4.0 version launcher.

Trust me and the rest of this people those screen on buttons are a pain in the ass... I hated them on the ns4g

I extracted the apk from Jedi jelly then placed it in system /apps, changed permission, and then rebooted but the phone doesn't recognize it being installed. I don't know if i did something wrong.
