How i fixed my facebook for htc connection problem

Hello everyone, i hope this works for you too, first of all sorry for my english
My Problem was that i always get connection error in facebook for htc, what i did was:
1º - go to your facebook page -> Account -> Application settings
2º - delete "HTC Sense" and "Facebook For HTC"
after that i added facebook for htc acount in my phone, and everything was working again.
Tested in LeeDrOiD Mod V1.6, and Official Froyo HTC Sense 1.0c

i tried do that .. i tried everything... but today morning it just start working.
i think htc and facebook solve the problems =)

Its not you who fixed that mate, FB or HTC sorted their servers\privs\wtv problems they had...

Yes maybe, but i was with leedroid and wasn't working, flashed 1.0c official, still connection error, after deleted the connection in facebook applications page, started working immediately on both Roms.

they fixed it overnight so if you tried yesterday in the morning, it wouldn't work. but now every rom should be working, as it was a htc/fb issue.

[Q] Google Contacts Sync Not Working!

Ever since I rooted my device Google Sync Contacts is not working , no matter what ROM I'm using , I've been through many ROMs in hope it fixes the problem but nothing is helping
While it's not of a big deal since I use Titanium Backup to regularly back up contacts , but it's kind of annoying to manually update my contacts in Gmail every time I add someone :X
I did clean installation every time all I get when I try to sync Contacts is "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." & last sync was 28th of July "just before I rooted my phone" , everything else under google account is syncing ok without problems .

Before rooting I didn't have this problem but just now , & it's not related to any specific ROM , I tested on my brother's rooted X10 Mini Pro & it seems he can sync no problem , so how can I get Google to sync contacts again with my phone ?
Last sorry if this question has been asked before in a way or another , I did search before posting & none had exactly same problem.

Its my first time here....so i want to say thanks to the admin & kudos to all who have been contributing so much .......
I am an android user and have been using couple of devices such as HTC, Sony and now back to HTC.
I have recently bought HTC ONE X, slightly used. The details are:
Android Version: 4.1.1
HTC Sense version: 4+
Software number: BinDroid XTC One X V9.0.0
HTC SDK API level: 4.63
HTC Extension version: HTCExtension_Sense45_1
Its a rooted device.
The problem is:
there is an app called "Black Facebook" version 2.0. I have tried to reset the phone but this application is still there. Now the application is working OK. but when i try to update the FACEBOOK (the regular facebook) from Google Play, it downloads the full file but in the end says "remove the previous version and install again". Now there is no option to "uninstall" it in the App, only disable & Force Stop. I have tried to delete it from file manager but it gives error and says the file cannot be deleted. I have also tried to rename it, but it still says "cannot rename file".
I also read different posts on internet which says that this is a SPAM, or something. Also, I cannot find this application i.e. "Black Facebook" anywhere on Google Play.
I am a little worried. Please can someone help on how to remove this thing from my cell.

Hy,
Install Titanium Backup from the market, from Backup/Restore tab click the app you want to uninstall.

ROM Toolbox could also do this, if you have either ROM Toolbox or TiBackup then follow the above instructions
Its under app management in ROM Toolbox.

Both apps will do the job, I use Rom Toolbox Pro (Paid Version) great app and great developers to support.

Same, removes the need for about 10+ other apps.

Thanks to each one of you. The Titanium Backup worked.......but I had a rough time regardless.....
When I deleted Black Facebook, all the links, like social feeds etc did not show Facebook links, & when I tried to download FB from Play, it gave an error as "incompatible version".....i thought i was doomed .....but then I did the data reset for my phone, after which I was able to install fresh Facebook...............................

Help! Need HTC Mail APK

Hi, i was looking around for ways to bypass the exvchange security on my device, and came across this:

I flashed the file, but this messed up the existing mail application - i get 'edit server settings' where normally username comes up and username in the password field!!
Can someone pass me a copy of the original apk from /system/priv-app/? the name is Mail.apk
Can someone also please suggest a way to rid the exchange security; I love the htc email app but now I'm forced to use the default android email app where exchange bypass works...
