Anyone have

and can let me know what its like thinking of ordering one does it protect the camera at all ?
Hey I've tried it in carphone, it does not seem to offer the best protection for your camera as it does not go higher than what the camera protrudes from the HOX.
You would be best ordering the official one offers better protection, either than one with the leather cover or without.
Only downside is if you have a grey phone might look out of place, but it didn't bother me with my grey HOX
Where is the best place to order the official one ? thanks for the input
Im just after ordering a Case Mate Barely There in black from play.com yesterday (£14.99).
I just upgraded to my One X yesterday coming from a Desire S and even before that I had the original Desire and for both phones I used the same case from Case Mate and loved them!

At the moment, rather hard to say most of the usual places are out of stock or in back order (mobile fun, expansys, amazon, play, clove)
Personally try carphone it's where I picked one up, even though the cost is full retail price what with how hard it is to get one might be worth it.
Just got one from orange shop, £15, and is v nice. Light and slim, better grip than original case so less chance of droppage, and good access to volume, power, etc. Downside is doesn't protect camera lens, or front corners of phone

The Casemate Barely There is my favorite case so far in terms of looks and feel. Actually contrasts nicely with my gray unit, doesn't add much bulk, and does what I want it to do, which is protect that fragile back surface from getting shiny spots. Half the reason I bought the One was the way it felt in my hand, so it's a bit of a shame to use any case, but HTC didn't do a good job durability testing that back surface for wear.
The Barely There offers no protection for the camera at all, but that really doesn't bother me, camera ain't no big deal to me, since I only take pictures of my thumb, and that by accident.
I also bought the official cover (C700) and it looks like total ass on my gray phone, it's really made for the white One X, but frankly, no man with one or both testes still attached should be sporting a white phone anyway.
I have the Barely There Case in Black, the HTC One X in White, and both spuds functioning perfectly thank you. Tonight I am going to pursue such manly endeavours as peeing on something, thumping my chest, and making outlandish remarks about other peoples tastes.
For those who like the Barely There case but are worried about camera lens damage, the Martin Fields screen protector comes with 2 camera lens protectors too.
Right. I'm off to pick some daisys and watch Twilight movies......dam! You got me!
All in good fun mate. Half of all male humour is about casting aspersions on another male's manliness.

Post of the thread, right here Good to see that British sense of humor is alive and well!
The white is shiny like on Rock ones?
If yes then it will not look good on a grey HOX.
I am searching for a matt white for my grey hox
Ordinarily I'd agree, but the white version was available for $499 on Newegg, $100 cheaper than the grey, which I certainly prefer. I guess I'll have to stop making fun of guys with white phones...

Hi everyone,
I was asked by Blake from RearthUSA.com to evaluate their new rubber case for the Sprint EVO 4G. I have the white EVO really wanted to get a good case for my favorite little everything device.
There are things that I was looking for. From my past experiences with other types of case I had some requirements.
1. I hated the hard cases, because they were very difficult to get off. So hard that eventually the face plate of the hard case will break. You have to pry them off and that cause scratches and nicks and scars on the edges of the seams of the case.
2. The silicon cases fit and give great grip, but everything sticks to the surface. The material grabs the lint and crap in your pockets and out of the air. It is very hard to pull out of your pocket. This make it more annoying when the phone is ringing and you are trying to get it out in time. You have to force it out and grab tighter, this causes you to accidently push buttons on the screen or the hard buttons on the phone.
3. I did not want the case to add to much thickness to the phone. I love how thin it is. Can’t understand why people want a thin sexy phone, but then add on these thick cases that give huge protection.
4. I don’t want it to look cheap. Most generic rubber cases look so plain, cheap, and non-sexy. They are like a potato bad on a sexy runway model.
5. I am also very concerned about the back camera lens. I am still trying to figure out what was on the designers mind when they thought it was a good idea to push the lens farther than the body. To be exposed to damage.. being on the back.. which will always hit all surfaces when you put it down.
Now for the Ringke cases that Blake wanted me to evaluate. They sent me 2 case to evaluate.
http://rearthusa.com/products-page/ringke-gadget-cover/htc-evo-4g/
I asked for the Red Wine and the Aqua Black.
Colors:
The colors are a little miss leading.
In normal indoor lights the color is lighter than you would think the name suggests. In the sun, it is looks more like cherry red. It is fine for me.
The Agua Black is completely miss-leading (unless I got the wrong color). Based on the only 2 dark colors available: Slate Gray or Aqua Black, what I have can not be Slate Gray because it is darker on the website. I wanted a “black/dark” cover. From what others that have gotten the Slate Gray, they said it it was too gray. The Aqua Black is partially transparent and the color is Gray! On the back side, you can see the my white EVO cover; and can read the “Sprint 4G” logo right above the kick stand.
Fit:
The 2 cases are different . The Red fits perfectly. All ports and buttons are aligned. All the edges hug the phone just enough. The phone is snug. Red case “fit” is perfect.
The Gray is slightly too small. On the front screen, the sides; the tight fit causes the lip to LIFT off the glass screen and pulled outwards to the sides. This causes the sides to not have clean straight lines. Around the kickstand the opening does not hinder it function, but lines do not match up right. I even used the Aqua for a week so that it might have time to “work itself in”, but it never changed it’s fit or shape. This also means that the Red case will keep it’s great fit; and not loose it over time.
Finish:
All the sexy lines of the EVO are not lost by this case. It highlights all the sexy curves. The detail is very good. I like the extra line that follows the battery cover. The add opening for the “htc” logo is a good touch and give it a quality design image. The added texture of the skin is nice too and give a plush feel while providing better grip.
To my 5 requirements listed above:
1. Check: it is a rubber case and is easy to get on and off. Simple.
2. Check: it has a great feel. Not sticky or grabby. Goes in the pocket and slides out clean.
3. Check: it adds a minimum of extra thickness, but still provides a good add rubber protection.
4. Check: the design and attention to extra detail keeps my EVO sexy and slim.
5. Check: they added a little extra padding around the back lens for protection.
Price:
The price is $16.99 with free shipping. This may seem a little high.
We all know we can buy generic rubber or silicon cases for $5 plus $3 shipping all day online. But at that low price, I still say they are not even worth the $8. For a good quality case that you will want to use daily, $17 is a good deal.
Conclusion:
The quality is great. (don’t order the Aqua Black unless they remake the mold)
The price is good, because you can spend more in retail stores.
Ringke case is a must buy for anyone that has the same concerns and requirements as I do.
Suggestion for RearthUSA.com:
They should have a 2 pack deal for $19.99 with free shipping.
With each color selection, it will include a solid jet black case.
Thanks and I hope this review is able to help others.
Special thanks to Blake at RearthUSA for his help to get these awesome cases to me for review.
Sincerely
Dan330
great review....looks like a nice case
Great review. I have been contemplating buying one of these cases and one of my options was going to be the wine color or slate grey. Looking at it in your pictures it looks more red than I thought I would be. I have to agree that their colors are deceiving. I notice they sell a solid black for other phone but the Evo only gets dark grey. If they had a solid black I would have purchased already. The slate grey is just a dark grey. I want this case but the colors are keeping me back.
The price is also a concern and should be changed to two for 19.99 like you stated. That would be a great deal.
Let me know if your looking to sell these if your not looking to keep them.
Ordered two as well. Should get them soon and will have my review. I got the white and dark grey for my white evo. Sold my otterbox commuter so I can buy one.

Alright time for my review of the rearth case:
My biggest issue was lint on my otterbox commuter, and the added weight and thickness.
I really liked the protection the commuter provided but it was a lint magnet. Was constantly wiping lint off as well as attaching the bottom flap.
I own a white evo and I didn't like the fact that the commuter completely hid that. I ordered the white cover to accentuate the white back.
I think it looks excellent. Also got a black one and you can see the white accents and it looks very good. All the cut outs are perfect.
Fit it very snug, the sides could be a little tighter but overall great fit.
Camera protection is perfect.
Most importantly for me it slides perfectly in and out of my pocket with no lint. I love it!
Came packaged very professionally.
Price is a little high but shipping is included, it is a local usa seller, and the build quality seems excellent. If you have any questions feel free to pm me.
Great job rearth on a great evo case!
mikfroyo evo!
mikfroyo... what color did you order? my Aqua Black was not like that! it was gray transparent.
update:
Blake from RearthUSA.. said that they are looking into my 2 pack deal... they liked it.. and are considering it. NO actual word to when or if they will.
Told him the same thing about 2 pack. I think it should be for the $16.99 though. I think that is aqua black. I like my white one best.

i would have liked the red to be darker... more "wine" color.
but still nice. of course that is a totally opinioned answer. I think my pics are very accurate to real world looks. so base it off that.

he only said they are looking into it... it may or may not happen and maybe not soon.
and if your phone is walking around naked... hate for it to be damaged.. while you wait.
I bought this case before realizing that the reviews i've been reading about it have all been sponsored by Rearth... oh well. It was a good choice. I'm a case eilitist and silicone cases suck due to the "grippiness" of them.
TPU cases are pretty good but I found mine to be too thick.
The Seidio Innocase is really nice but their first round of production were too big, cases too expensive and even after they fixed production to make it fit better I still found the case to feel larger than the advertised "1mm' thickness. It made an allready wide phone super-wide.
This Ringke by Rearth is damn good. Best of both worlds imo. I've never felt a material like this before. I'm not stoked about the overlap on the front of the case--how it covers the borders around the screen--but I'm trying to look at it as a feature, that is, it keeps my screen protector's corners down and protected.
This thing is so thin, yet strong and smooth = no lint, no inverted pants pockets. It will, however, slide on a smooth surface so that may be a drawback for some. Off the phone it is as floppy as it looks in the video but reliably stiff once it's on the phone.
This message was not sponsored by Rearth
ALSO...
I emailed Rearth asking if they'll ever have a true black colored case, not grey, not transparent and they said they may have it as soon as one month from now.
Is it a tight fit case? I like tpu cases because of their tight fit no bulk.

yes.. it was sponsored.. but i was totally honest.. did not hold anything back.

Yes. He said he sent his supplier (manufacturer) in Asia an email inquiring whether they would produce it in a (what I called) "true black."
He responded that they might and to check again and that he'd let me know at the end of the month. Haven't heard anything since, today's the last of the month and I understand these things take time.
I like many people am looking for the best way to protect my phone and keep the sleekness of this device prevalent. After buying my Galaxy S III, I started my research right away. Unfortunately I work as a Carpenter and Installer and couldn't afford to keep my phone naked at work, so as I was looking for a case at my local mall I had seen the Ghost Armor kiosk and decided to give it a whirl.
Review!
To start I have had the device for a week now, and the shield just as long. As I stated above I work Construction, and my phone is one of my most invaluable tools while I'm out at a customers house, running errands, or just in the shop. I had the Galaxy S II (Sprint) and it went through hell, from dents in the sides to scratches on the screen to being dropped from the seat of our work van, it took quite a bit of abuse, I didn't want my S III to endure the same beatings my S II took. (Just a note, its now in my girlfriends care, safe and secure in her everlasting grip.)
Pro's
Covers screen and backing well.
Price isn't bad, $35 for my total.
Screen stays less oily and less streaky.
Does its job and prevents the screen from getting scratched.
Cons
Does not cover entire body.
The skin placement is only as good as the installers skills.
The carbonfiber backing option creates edges.
Exposed areas. (where some skins cover.)
While this product does do its job and did to it well it does leave a lot to be desired, I have seen skins out on the market that cover the entirety of the phone, and you would think getting it from a bigger name they would have a more complete skin for the product. It did do its job however, but then again for about $30.00 USD I could get an Otter-Box that would do the same and much more. I have attached pictures for anyone interested in how it looks.
In short I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone looking for full protection, as a screen protector its nice, but it doesn't offer as much as other wraps that I have seen online.
Would've looked better in black imo. But thanks for sharing.
Ghost Armor is kind of overpriced. I had it on my one S and will never buy again.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I've used Ghost Armor screen protectors on my last three phones - Inspire, Skyrocket, and now S3. I like the screen protectors because they still feel pretty slick (probably not quite as much as the actual glass, but they don't tend to "catch" your fingers) and they don't seem to change the screen's appearance (at least not that I can tell).
However, I have never put a skin on any of my phones (I've only used cases), so I cannot personally comment on the quality of those.

You will regret the white. Had it installed on my wife's phone and it picks up dirt like you wouldn't believe.... looks horrible after that.....
Hey Just want to let everyone know if you like this look and don't wanna cut your own.I searched all last night and found a company that doesn't have those seems on the corner I even emailed them to make sure here it is http://www.xgearlive.com/products/android/samsung/exoskin-s-iii
I just ordered one
thanks for the review.
You forgot to mention the lifetime warranty. Don't like the colour? Pay the 5 bucks labour and have them change the colour. I got the green but it wasn't bending over the edges well. Went back and they swapped the back with carbonfibre gunmetal grey. Looks great, left the green sides on just so I can easily find it on my desk/bed/wherever. Love this. I didn't find it pricey at all when I compared it to the invisashield and others that get all scratched up and faded. If this happens to this, you just pay 5 bucks and they'll slap a new one one. I also agree that the screen protector is far less grippy than the invisashield so it's more enjoyable to use.
I'm going to get my nexus 7 done next I think.
I like the fact that their Kiosks are popping up all over the place. They have 2 in the same mall local to me. I paid 20 bux for the front screen protector installed. I have them install it for me and they do a great job. IF they don't have one for your phone, which is the case with Galaxy S II and III since they sell out of them often, they can be talked into cutting one out custom for it.
Beast of a case right here. Extremely thin, lightweight, and several different colors. I wouldn't expect anything less than that from Diztronic.

Yeah, I got my first one back when I had my Galaxy Nexus LTE. After being happily surprised I got both the hard shell and TPU for my Nexus 4 and will be using this one on my future HTC One. Hopefully sales are good enough for the TPU that they release a hard shell case.
That gray looks sexy for sure. Anyone know if it will yellow over time though? I sure want it but scared it will look ugly in a few months time.

Yeah I'm scared to make the switch to HTC and sense since I've had stock since the gnex lte but I've never owned an HTC device and I always thought sense looked nice. I've heard so many bad things about it that it has me worried, but I guess I've gotten bored of pure stock for a bit and its time to try something new. Either way I can't wait to try it out. Hopefully its worth it!

I got my Diztronic Gray TPU case today, and since I've been using the HHI (purchased from that $0.99 sale last week) I figured I'd share the differences having them both in hand.
As I said above, I had a Diztronic TPU on a previous phone and enjoyed it although it had a few flaws (excess molding flash around buttons, missing NC mic hole). Being a tightass I jumped on the cheap HHI case deal, figuring I'd take a chance on other manufacturers matching that same quality.
And I was rewarded for my cheapness with a cheap case. The HHI case has two big problems as far as I'm concerned. The cutout for the power button is pill shaped, following the contour of the button and projecting upwards away from the case. It doesn't leave much room for a finger to press, especially when trying to use your index finger when one-handing it. I remedied this with an X-Acto and a soldering iron to smooth the cut, opening up the button hole towards the back of the case. More troubling though is the fit around the front of the case. HHI managed to get the back of the case to fit the curves of the One nicely. However they didn't account for the bevel around the One's bezel. The side effect of this is that the corners don't stretch the front portion enough, leaving the sides to bow out a couple of mm at the center of each side. I don't think this would affect the function of the case in an impact, but at best it ruins the straight line aesthetic of this phone. One lesser annoyance is the molding seam that runs the entire perimeter, which isn't distracting to the touch but is very obvious against the transparent side pieces.
The HHI seems like it would be a functional case from the aspect of being protective: it covers the corners with shock absorbing TPU and protects the bezel where it counts. It goes in and out of pockets easily and the matte clear blends well with the color of the silver phone.
Today the Diztronic came in and the extra $11.51 proved well worth it. The Diztronic case fixes both of the issues I had with the HHI: the power button cutout is nearly flush with the button at the front and back, making it easy to push, and the front fits snug and stays straight along the edges. Like the HHI, the cutouts all line up ok, and while it doesn't make a functional difference the camera cutout is centered maybe 1mm too low. Unlike the HHI, the molding seams are small and in the corners. My previous TPU case experience was with a black case, so time will tell if I'll see this one turn yellow after a few months. If that happens (and supposedly it's inevitable with clear TPU) I'll buy the black version without hesitation.
TL;DR: The HHI and Diztronic TPU cases both do their jobs, but the Diztronic is well worth the extra money for the fit and finish.

Haha 'tis is true but I remember I got my HTC One S case for approximately $7 or so but
nevertheless I am quite content with this case! I just recieved it today, so far so good. I was a little concerned that it would cover the camera a little as the cutout looks really tight and possibly even touches the lens but it actually doesn't affect the pictures which is fine for me!
Otherwise I'm liking it! I feel like it is definitely a little more protected than it would be naked but slim enough to not make much of a difference although I do miss the aluminum unibody feel a little..
Just to add, definitely not going to protect much from a crazy fall or anything but I already knew that when I decided to purchase it.
Purchased this case after seeing everyone's reviews here. Thanks everyone!
Anyone have an opinion on what the best clear case is?
I have a Ringke one for my Nexus 6 and would like to get something similar for the Moto X I just ordered.
thanks for your opinions.

The closest I could find was this: (and I bought it) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Griffin-Mot...140?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25a1280b9c
I've searched, but there's not too much available in clear cases. Ballistic has the Jewel line of cases also, which are basically clear and provide good protection. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Ballist...678?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25a1a1c1f6

Thanks for your input. I think I will be ordering ones of those! Just got the phone delivered today!
There's also this one Case-Mate Motorola Moto X Clear. Sadly though, it doesn't have a cutout for the Motorola dimple

I'm currently using this case after trying out and rejecting a few similar cases before it and have to say, this one is just perfect for me. I have a one with a royal blue backplate and blue accents/trim and even though it doesn't have a cutout for the dimple I really don't miss it. I'd rather not have it exposed and decolourized.
Only complain I have is the volume rocker and the power buttons on the case have a shiny silver metallic paint on it concealing the blue accents on the phone but its not really a big deal. Attached a couple of pics of how it looked when I first put it on. Excuse the poor quality of the images due to the bad lighting condition of my garage.
Also one issue cases like these have is the silicone bumper tends to get decolourized after a few months of usage and turns yellowish. This has an easy fix though. All you have to do is to dip it in a solution of dilute liquid fabric whitener for 15-20 mins and its bright as new. I use one of those liquid blue fabric whiteners and it lasts months.
Anachronizer, I have the same case and, side from the yellowish patina, I like it. I can't find the fabric whitener you're talking about. May I know the brand and product name, please?
While I'm posting, how does everyone's X hold up?I had an HTC that looked badass with some gouges. Like a veteran. I'm probably going down to skins if I can't get this case clear. And then stage down to naked.

Well, I don't think we are from the same part of the planet so naming the product and the brand I use wouldn't really help much. Assuming you are in the US judging from you carrier which is at&t I'd say any liquid blue fabric whitener would do. Did a little search and this particular product seemed to be similar to the one I use.

These blue fabric whiteners are milder compared to regular chlorine bleach fabric whiteners so you have less chance of damaging the silicone strip. All it does is counterbalance the yellow with a blue hue which eventually fades after you start using it leaving a bluish white tint. But you have to repeat this every few months depending on the usage and how quickly it oxidises back to yellow.
Its amazing what products I've found in the UK, Australia and even Philippines that also sell in USA. I tried Rit laundry treatment, which is a powder and did NOT work.
Thank you for looking up a similar product for me. I really appreciate the extra effort!

Select one here,Thankyou.
I was thinking of getting a leather cover for my G4.
I was wondering if it's worth the money as I have seen a lot of G4's on ebay with very worn back covers - and they look terrible.
1. Do any of the covers in different colours last longer than others.
2. Are their any colour that doesn't wear at all
3. Is there any way to protect the leather, with a spray for example?
4. How long did it take your leather back cover to start wearing away, and was it just from general use rather than a fall
5. Has anyone use the replica fake leather plastic one's from alliexpress and how were they, they look pretty bad in the pics.
Any comments appreciated.

thanks ...not to shabby at all
Yeah, my black leather back is holding up nicely. My wife's grey/teal one didn't look so good: corners got scratched and darkened purely from the pocket usage. Black is the way to go (if you're getting the back cover separately).
Hi there. My brown Leather Back Cover looks like the green one from Molius. All around the edges darkened from pocket usage. But just the edges, the middle looks like the first day. Got the golden plastic one too, but dont like it.
Yeah I have the black one. Its like new as always. All the others Will of course go away after awhile. That's just the way color skins are
I agree with the other posters. The black one holds really well.
Same as well. I have that to and looks like new still even after 2yrs

Well I just picked up a new G4. It looks from ebay that the black one is the only one that doesn't fall apart. I wonder why that is cause some of the other colors have the same texture. The non textured ones like the brown and the burgundy ones seem to be the worst. Pity as those 2 are my fav colors. Oh well, black it is then.

i think it does like the rest just a lot less noticable
all 4 corners are wearing out and theyre are some scratches in it but the black on black makes it hardly nticable at all

Oh right so it's kinda an illusion cause it's black. Oh well. It's a pity the non-leather one's look so plain as at least they don't deteriorate.

Exactly. Mines been beat up pretty bad. But u cant notice unless u get right up on it. I also waz able to place a wireless charging coil on it. Kinda presses up on it but still highly unoticable
Get the leather, then ...
Get the leather ... BUT ... then consider buying this item from FastTech (Chinese co.), PC + Silicone Protective Case Cover for LG G4: https://www.fasttech.com/p/5608604 - it's thin and not that noticeable and at $3.10 plus registered shipping (recommended), it protects the resale/trade-in value of your phone if and when ready as well as any fumbles when and where it lands on something and breaks your screen, etc. Worth every penny, IMO.
Cheers,
S.
Since august 2015. Daily basis use.
I take care of my phone so... Not good leather quality :/
(shot with G4 H815 itself!)
Should of gotten the black model where it's not so noticeable lol
Yeah... but I got it for a pretty fair price so, no complain.
It's a shame leather covers are so expensive tho -_-
