From what I have read there is currently not a method to root this update. Be patient though.

Usb connection is always the fastest connect plus you keep your phone charged. How hard is that

Hi all...
I'm form Macedonia and cannot install some applications from Market , like Skype etc... Can someone please help how can I use some US proxy to access all aplications please ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thank you in advance
Don't know if a proxy will work but if you are rooted you can use something like 'market enabler' or 'market access'.
I'm not rooted, is rooting my HTC Desire smart move? Is threre some risk about rooting it ?
Thank you for your reply
Wouldnt it be easier to just download the APK files and install directly? Saves rooting.
Yes there is but all manageable.
Before starting (like EdyyOS always says)

Before you even root the phone or do anything, go to Settings>About phone>Software information and make a note of the software version, e.g. 2.10.405.2
Once you have it, go here and if there is a file matching your software version download:

This way should you ever need to return to stock for warranty issues you can

Hey neighbor
Sadly, no, you can't.
Market uses your SIM card information in order to know which country or region you're from. The only way to access paid apps is to root your phone and then use MarketAccess or a similar app.
You can if you take out your SIM use WiFi to access the internet, and then logon to your US-server VPN service! I do it!
I am currently using VyprVPN PPTP setup on my stock unlocked unrooted 2.2 Desire but the service is unstable so will try another soon.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I think I will try to root my phone as well as using VyprVPN and let you know.
Thank you all for your help!
Regards
I;m about to root my device , but I have one more question ?
Any good FREE backup solution to backup all my data an apps before rooting my device?
Regrads
Only backup apps that can back up data is a root only program.
Hey guys, hope someone can help.
I'm looking for a stock HTC Rom that'll unroot my Desire (Hopefully it won't be needed) but every one i've tried fails, my phone is locked to Vodafone UK, although there is no Vodafone apps or anything on it. I've included a screenshot of what my phones running..
I've looked everywhere and like I said, none of them work. Also I'm having trouble downloading ANYTHING from shipped-roms
Really hope someone can help,
Cheers
do u want to unroot your phone or get rid of your simlock?
those are 2 different things, they have nothing to do with each other.
if you want to unroot, use "unrevoked". a prog that will do it for you. but read before you actually do it, otherwise you might end up bricking your phone.
if you want to unlock your simcard you'll either have to pay your provider to do it or go to any mobile shop on the street where they'll unlock it in a matter of minutes for a couple dollars.
greetz,
v.

there are people who are engaged in repair IMEI Online , remotely connect to your PC with hamachi or something. I Use their service and 100% satisfied. i have a s6 edge Tmob and works excelent!, no need downgrade or something

Sorry, I am new to this and I'm having the same issue. What do I need to do to repair my IMEI and get my working again? I know you explained something up there, but I am not very tech savy. I'm having my friend help with who is more tech savy, maybe I can relay what you reply with to him.
sure, they work very easy, only you install a files that they give you, basically it is for them to connect with your computer and you connect your phone to your computer, and via a chat they are telling you what to do, disconnect the phone connected, click here, click there, I'll pass the link by private message.
can i get the link
