On AOKP using the AOSP browser, there is no option in any of the settings menus.

Use Directory Bind to bind the download folder to the root of the SD card.

Directory bind doesn't actually change the location it just creates a shortcut to it. The moment directory bind is shut of or if the card is removed the files well no longer be accessible from the sdcard.

Using this method, you might as well move the files from internal to external using a file manager. More effective than using temporary mapping.

Opera Mobile will ask which directory prior to downloading the file.

Assuming you're saving your backups to your external sd card, there will be a folder there called clockworkmod. go in there and then backup. Each folder there is a separate nandroid, just delete the folders of the ones you don't want.

You can use root explorer and find the folder clockwork mod inside sd card or external sd card folder. It should be under the backup folder inside clockwork folder. Delete From there.
In short
Root explorer > sd card/external sd card> clockworkmod> backup. Delete from there.

Would recommend making it a suggestion to ROM Developers - need to swap "SD" and "SD-EXT", not sure where in the manifest that is, but the good chefs should be able to hack up a solution pretty quick. Would likely require a re-flash, though...

I would love this as well. This would solve so many issues of things not fitting. Games and GPS programs.etc. I have switched my Camera to save to EXT and as well my Titanium Backups but in general everything wants to go to SDCARD by Default.
So here solution swap sd memories
To do this please backup your phone files first. This is info how to use external sd card as main sd card so all apps gonna be saved to your external memory card!!!
Need to root i927
Download Root explorer from market
Download this file :
hxxps://rapidshare.com/files/1609601636/vold.fstab
change x to t
copy that file from computer to the sd card of your phone
Open Root explorer
go to sdcard and copy file vold.fstab
go back to root of your phone
And go to system/etc and "upper" mount drive paste and rewrite original file
Restart phone

[Q] Q: SD Card as Application Storage

I have a 16GB Galaxy Note II, and put a 32GB card into the unit. How do I use the SD Card for application storage, like my HTC EVO allowed me to do. I can't even use the Move To SD Card option in the Applications function under Settings.
Thank you.
LD
You cant as of right now. Jelly Bean wont allow it. I dont know if this works for the sprint version but on the international version they were rooting and then putting directory bind on to allow them to do apps2sd. I believe directory bind is found on xda only. I dont know where it is. I was thinking of using it myself.
yet another complaint I have with this phone! I wont lie for the price tag im running into a lot of things my old EVo 3D could do with ease that I am banging my head against the wall trying to figure out on this device.
SO the best work around that I have done is use a program called Directory bind. However you will need to root your device in order for this program to work right. So... I dont know how you feel about doing that or how savy you are in rooting and all that good stuff.
I will say that it only takes about 20 minutes to root the device and install Directory Bind now I have a lot of my programs stored on the SD card instead of in the phones internal memory still though there should be a cleaner way to do this than have to use a program to work around it..
Do you have a link to directory bind?
I'll leave this right here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262

sdcard0 to extsdcard
I found a scripts the tricks ICS to use your external sdcard as your internal storage. So when apps write data to sdcard0 it is actually writting to your external sd. I tried it and it works!
I dont have permission to post outside links but you can find it at galaxynote2root in the tutorials section.
Im not even worried about apps and their data moving to sdcard as much as I want a fix for the internal memory being labeled as sdcard..
On my past htc devices this wasnt the case... Its an issue having the Real sd card labeles as extSDcard because apps such as taparalk and my browser select the default term sdcard and dont allow the option to change the path to my real sdcard.
So anytime I save an image or a file it goea straight to internal storage instead of the sdcard. Again I could care less about apps2sd but I need to keep apps separated from files I download to the device. Dont want my phones 16 gigs being eaten up by my photos and music and roms and such..
Is there anyway to rename the sdcard without messing up the system any?

Ok, try ICS SD Binder in the app store. It will provide I link inside your sdcard0 directory that will give you the option to save your images to your extsdcard. So in what ever app your using if it has the options in the settings to choose your save directory, ICS SD Binder will provide the link to your extsdcard.

in the first box "original mount point" do i need to select /mnt/sdcard or /mnt/extSdCard ?
and New mount point should just be labeled external_sd. Do i need to check any of the boxes below?
Excuse the noobness with this app, never had to do this before with my other devices, it just worked as it should and didnt have internal memory lableled as sdcard when it wasnt.
Thanks in advance.
Just check bind sd to new mount point, you don't have to change anything else.

Link2SD does not work on the Note2. You need to use ICS SD BINDER. I tried it my self on my rooted GN2. But this will not let you run your apps from the sdcard. It only provides a link or a shortcut if you will in your sdcard0 directory that targets your external sdcard. So if you have an app that saves data and it lets you browse a location for the data in your sdcard0 directory, this gives you the opportunity to point that in your external sdcard directory. Ex, I use a app to hide my pic on my phone. the hidden encrypted pic are stored in the sdcard0 dir, and it does not give me now option to browse my external sdcard and save the files there, this app solves that problem.

There is an app out there called directory bind that people use on the S3, I will try it out and post my results

There's also a script you can run using script manager. Much simpler in my opinion. Makes the phone think the external sd is the internal memory. I haven't hqd any problems other than much more free space

When you open ezpdf app, you'll be taken to the home page. Click on "my docs" and you'll come to a search page with a home icon on ur right. When u touch that you'll be given a folder option...
-Go to default folder
-change default folder.
Select "change default folder" and choose the folder u want to keep as default. U can choose any folder in ur ext card.

Sorry for not updating the thread.
This is a known issue with earlier versions of ezpdf. I got ezpdf from the amazon app store and it has very much predated version of ezpdf which the developer has refused to update. I think they want the users who purchased amazon app store to buy it again from the playstore.
The newer versions has no issues and is available in the playstore.

All 4.2 Based Roms can not read anything on my internal SD card...

For some reason when I install a rom that is 4.2.2 based, it sees the directories in the INTERNAL SD but they are all empty.
HOWEVER. When I revert BACK to a 4.1.2, or 4.1.1 ROMS the files are there, and it sees them and they work fine.
What is it doing this weird behavior??
Furthermore if I try hooking up the phone to the computer it sees that there is a LOT of space taken up on the internal SD card. But again ALL directories are empty. Of course if I reboot into recovery all my files are there. ALl my zips whatever. What the heck is going on?

4.2 AOSP ROMS emulate your internal memory by creating a secondary sd partition. There are many paths to viewing your internal memory but the most common directory is
/storage/emulated/0
"0" is your actual internal sd card.
You can also view ALL existing files in
/data/media/
So if the first path doesn't show you any files then the /data/media directory should do it for you..

It's really not a problem man.. TB can't read that directory cuz you haven't set it to.. You need to move your current TB folder to the path mentioned above then go and change your current backup directory to that or just simply scan the entire device and it will find it. Same applies to your music or any other media files.
