No, no android device can run iOS.

Why would you want 3rd rate ios? :banghead:

Dev help answer some questions about Sense UI

Hello Dev and everyones, currently I have mytouch4g. I love Sense and want to get LGX2, is it easier to port Sense to LG firmware? Reason I ask because I never see Samsung galaxy s series, 4G, Nexus S have any Sense port all they have is AOSP rom like CM7, Miui etc... Is it because Samsung use different file system? Can sense be ported to LG? Or should I wait and get Sense phone like Evo 3d, HTC Pyramid?
Thank you

Sense isn't open source, that's why you'll never really see it ported to another device. Pretty much the only option would be to get a Sense phone.

Exactly. It's kind of like how you'll never see MotoBlur or Touchwiz on any non-Moto or non-Samsung device (although I don't know why you would want to with those). The reasons all non-sense roms are AOSP is exactly because it is open source, and can be modified and programmed to cater to specific devices.

[Req]Motoblur 2.0/Touchwiz 4.0 on DHD

Does anyone can port Motoblur or touchwiz on Desire HD?
If exists pls tell me the link..
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Ugh! Why would you want either one! LOL can we also port over ios as well? Motoblur was okay on my laggy, slow old Backflip, and touchwiz was the first thing I wanted to lose on my Captivate.
Sent from a little blue planet, third from the sun.
But both motoblur n touchwiz were upgraded...I mean motoblur(droid bionic) and touchwiz(galaxy s2). These are not old version one I'm sure that new version is better than old version..

true, have heard touchwiz 4.0 has improved alot, but have also heard that motoblur still sux, even after updates. Had the atrix briefly this spring, and motoblurwas still terrible.

personally, TouchWiz 4 on the Galaxy is absolutely great, greatly improved from previous versions, although I would believe the hardware to be a much more vital factor in allowing better graphics and smoothness of the user interface.
I don't think you can port the full overlay of either because of the frameworks involved. I do know that the touchwiz launcher is available by itself. Just search Google. Ran into this question on galaxy forums lol. They wanted sense instead of touchwiz

Bringin this to life in some hope of new things. Evo has motoblur with some issues link >>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254113 <<<<
Anyone think it's possible to bring it over?
Personally think it would be great and would love to see some one do it.

well, the new moto UI isnt called motoblur anymore, instead, it's Moto UI, and personally i felt it looked dope especially on the new razr lockscreen, although it cant access to much shortcuts as sense, but it looked dope, LOL!

[Q] Windows Phone 7 ROM ported to the Inspire/DHD?

Hey guys,
I was looking over at Windows Phone 7 the other day and I noticed that the UI looks really cool! I don't want to buy a windows phone, but I also found out that the HTC HD2 can dual boot windows mobile and android at the same time. THe HD2 also has a snapdragon, so would it possible to port it over to the Inspire/DHD? Im not sure if this is possible, but I wish i could get the UI, cuz it looks really cool! Thanks!
I asked the same question a while back. Basically, WP7 is a closed source UI. Porting it to DHD or any other phone for that matter would be a breach of tos blah blah blah... Just search and you'll find all about it.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Hmm ok thanks for the reply. Would it be possible to make a ROM that looks like it? Not necessarily a port?
Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G using XDA App
Nope, unless you want your ass sued by windows...
If you know how to pull it off I guess you could make one just for your self but other then that nothing...

[Q] Firefox OS port?

Hi,
Im just wondering, is it possible to port Firefox OS to Desire? (As it's HTML, I guess it will be easy to port) Its UI is very nice, so if someone can port it, I will really appreciate it!

its already successfully ported to sgs2 anyway, so there is a possibility desire can do it. we still have a lot of great devs.

Looks like pretty good performance to me, on a device similar to the Desire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QnIskIc3EY
I'd really love to see this ported to our phone.

It is now possible to dual boot!

I found this online and now you can dual boot android and ios.

Do you believe everything you read on the interwebz? just messin
Lol, anyways....My guess is that it will be for the international SGS2. Although it does sound like a great idea and I love my dual booting hackint0sh at home, I doubt this will gain any traction. But let's hope I'm wrong!
One of the first Google results for "Bootdroid"...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559769
Yes, for people still questioning, it IS fake. You're NEVER going to be able to run iOS natively on an Android device period. Likewise, you can barely get Android to recognize the iOS hardware.

A good option for dualboot is UBUNTU...This is the new for 2013.XD
NOT IOS 4 !WAKALA!
There's no way this could work. you could never make iOS drivers for the devices (network, sound, display, etc).
But you guys do know it's possible to boot android on iOS right?
I did it on my iPod touch once I first heard of android. You can also run custom firmwares. That's why I got an android, because I saw how cool it was on iOS.

what i am just wondering is why people like android so much and then you would want the inferior IOS on the already flawless android and also you dont match any of the hardware that IOS has

Its easier to port android to an iPad than the other way around. iOS' is built on proprietary hardware and doesn't even write drivers for anything else. The driver level stuff would be next to impossible to create from scratch. It would be cool though and probably spell the end of apple if you could slap their stuff on our hardware

Yeah I'll bet. The apple hardware is garbage. Half of it is lower tier Samsung stuff put together by Foxconn.
