Hey guys, I currently have a Galaxy Note but I'm looking to get the GSM Nexus. Do any of you know if the LTE Sim cards work for GSM Nexus? I can't seem to find any information on this.

I've always wondered about that as well....
- Google
Well apparently no one has attempted it.

One X micro sim works in my GSM Gnex, so I imagine the Note sim would work as well.
I came from an HTC Vivid LTE phone. I simply swapped the LTE sim from the Vivid into my Nexus and all has been well for over a month (had an international Nexus, but returned it and got the US Nexus).

I'm switching from the Vivid too. Is the Nexus any better than the Vivid?

The only thing I miss is LTE, but that is minor compared to all the great things about the Nexus - let alone the longer battery life.

It wouldn't.
It would have a LTE sim card, but it would NOT work with ATT LTE because the two are the same technology but different spectrum. And then there is the gsm Cdma differences for non 4G use. That is why there two different versions of it

Cmon. This has been answered (or just use common sense). Its a CDMA phone locked to Verizon. You can't put in an AT&T SIM, whether its provisioned for LTE or not. It won't work.
Okay so I got my galaxy nexus a couple days ago after looking at a lot of positive posts in the galaxy s2 forum. I love everything about the phone but the network is just effed. I got a strong signal on my sgs 2 almost everywhere which is not the case with this phone. I have tried three radios and different roms but nothing seems to fix it. All other connections work perfectly so I don't think something is wrong with the antenna. What do you guys suggest I should do?

I know what phone I'm switching this for,
Spoiler
The Next Nexus
Try flashing the various radios in the Dev section, the UGLA one's are made for CA I believe.
Switch to the white nexus, maybe your carrier is racist

Try switching it out for another Nexus, maybe you got a lemon?
Saw articles that Verizon is opening world gsm capabilities for the rezound, droid 4 and droid maxx.....why not the Gnex?
Because the Verizon version of the Galaxy Nexus doesn't have a GSM radio in it. You can't enable it if the radio isn't in there.
Vzw and sprint = CDMA
Everyone else (bar some parts of Asia) = GSM.
Well, the Rezound wasn't marketed as a World Phone, but with some tweaks you can use it overseas.

AT&T and tmobile phones will need to be SIM unlocked to be used on another gsm network.
I am currently on Verizon, with a Galaxy Nexus. I bought a Droid DNA off of eBay (really good deal), and want to know if I can just pop in my sim card, and go. I know the sizes are different, so I can use a sim cutter, and go to town on it. When I was checking the ESN with the Verizon rep, they said I would need to call to activate the phone. I've read on the interweb you can swap sims on 4G phones with no issue. So, much like everything on the interweb, there is conflicting information. What's the good word?
Actually both the DNA and gnex require micro sims, so it should fit right away. and yes, you can just pop in the sim and wait for it to recognize, but do it on the sense ROM before gaining s-off and flashing roms because I remember reading that cm doesn't have a certain file or something that prevents you from activating it when you run a custom ROM. Anyways, to answer your question yes

Verizon would need to activate because they use cdma and only use approved devices on their network.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Well Verizon exclusive devices like the droid DNA are pre-approved, and as long as it was sold by Verizon period, and is a 4g device, then you can swap sims all you want.

But this seems to contradict what is on Verizon's own website:
http://support.verizonwireless.com/faqs/VZAccess/4g_sim_card.html
Can I use my Verizon Wireless 4G SIM in more than one device?
Yes; the Verizon Wireless 4G SIM card contains all of your subscriber information, so the SIM card is portable and can be used in any Verizon Wireless-certified 4G device. All usage will be billed to the account associated with the 4G SIM card.

I'll find out for sure when my phone arrives in the mail, and I'll update this thread.
I took the Sim card from my wife's stratosphere and put it into my old droid charge and it worked just fine. All I had to do was wait for it to recognize the Sim.

I'm sure your right. I was just basing my answer on my years of sprint service. Never had Verizon 4g.

I left sprint for verizon a little over a year ago. I have had no remorse leaving. Not to get too far off topic, but the only real benefit to sprint is their unlimited data. But since you can't connect to their network, or it's slow as hell, what's the point?

Got my phone today. Popped in the Verizon 4G sim from my Nexus, and my DNA read the service with no issues. I did not have to call Verizon to swap the phone.
