BootManager - Samsung Captivate Glide

Anyone tried (with success) to dual or triple boot ROMs on the captivate glide?

What's that? We will be able to change boot animation on INC3PTiON v2 or whatever it's going to be called

Its supposed to allow you to keep several ROMs installed at once without wiping each time you switch to a different one. Kind of like dual booting Windows and Linux on your computer. Never tried it myself but it sounds nice for testing different ROMs without wiping/flashing. Unfortunately, the market description itself says specifically that BM doesn't work with any Samsung devices not listed, and ours is not.

This sounds really interesting if it is possible.

My old sony ericsson xperia x10 had bootmanager... Being able to have two roms installed wasnt that much useful unless you were a developer who needs to have a stable rom and a rom in test, although having 3 different recoveries was somewhat more useful

Supersonic?

Why has the evo been so frequently referred to as supersonic?
Sent from HTC EVO 4G via xda app
It is HTC's internal name for the Evo. I guess they decided to change the name but, from what I've seen, most of their phones have multiple names.
The Desire HD is aka the HTC Ace, the Desire Z is HTC Vision(I think), etc

Nice it reminds me of the Seattle Supersonics(I miss that team) and I'm a Bulls fan lol.

Honestly, I like the name Supersonic much better than Evo. I kind of wish they would have just kept the name.

I agree. Luckily, the phone doesn't say Evo anywhere on it... So as far as I'm concerned, I will continue to call it the Supersonic.
Supersonic must refer to how fast it goes! And it says evo when you boot up lol

Thunderbolt ROM booting on EVO --> Inc next ??

I see that the Thunderbird ROM uis booting on the EVO.
I'm guessing it could mean we could see that ROM ported to the Inc ?
Are any Dev's considering this ?
I could not find it in the Evo thread, could you point it out?
I thought the Thunderbolt was supposed to be similar to the Desire Z style of Sense, just with a few Verizon specific apps.
Am I wrong?

It's very similar, but its a cdma version so it should be more stable plus it probably has some new optimization to make it faster

[Q] Sky Go

hi guys wonder if you can help have just installed the Sky Go app but it wont load any media then i read "Sky Go is not supported on any Android device that has been rooted" is there away to get it to work
SGS2 with CF-ROOT
cheers
Ah, so that's what that message says. Flashes past so quick I can't read it and then sticks on "loading 1/100".
Would also be very interested in anything the genii of xda can do for us...
mine Just comes up with "Sorry, Sky Go is not currently supported on this device. Please see FAQS for more information." think this is because i'm running an ICS rom any way to get round this?
Currently doesn't work on:
1. ICS;
2. anything rooted; and
3. anything that is not a Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, HTC Desire HD, HTC Incredible or HTC Sensation
which is ****e really. Hence we are at the mercy of the great and the good of xda to do what Sky couldn't/wouldn't and get this working properly on, primarily, rooted devices and then deal with the other problems.

we knew that already
We all knew.
I knew those idiots wont give us ICS.
They gave us FOTA and said, "Sorry, you wont get ICS."
Oh yes we will, Eoghan ftw
I am going to SE Neo V man ! This situation sucks !! Small screen with unstable Roms and other stable roms have worse UI's ... I am selling my WFS for 190 $ ...
Well its up to us then, ain't it?

One X to receive 4.3 according to this, think the pic could be fake.

Well, i would expect you are thinking the same as me. 4.3 i would expect is very much possible for the One X. But this picture says Desire HD will get it. There is no way on earth a phone that old will get the update from HTC. But the guy who posted it is followed by HTC, im not sure what their follow policy is.

By Q4, Desire HD owners will bash HTC for how they "promised" to update their device and failed... "I will never buy a HTC again."
The endavoru is missing in that list...... Htc one x evita and htc one xl but both the same
The HTC Hero is on that list. Dubious. I know it's not getting an update, but why would it even be there?
Htc one x becomes the update. Htc x+, htc one, htc one vx, jewel. Thats the list from htc.

Some tech sites even write the 4.2.2 update would be the lastone for One X, so I highly doubt if this is a genuine schedule.

NEVER 4.2.2 would be NEVER the official last update  ...we will get 4.3 official and MAYBE also android 5...because our phone has enough power for that ....but RAM ok ...i think there would be an option to get more ram via virtual space etc..
HTC One X has enough RAM to run windows, it just requires HTC to preform some optimization on how sense consumes ram
Lol htc desire has enough power to manage 4.1 and dont receive it

Anyone noticed that the leaked 4.3 rom list has the HTC one X but (evita) next to it, which is the Qualcomm based AT&T one, not the T3 based International one.
