No sweat, just deauthorize your google device friends..
"Sign into your Google Music account via a PC. In the upper right most corner of the Music page, right next to your photo, if you have one, is the cog. Click on the cog and you will be presented with options. Select music settings and viola. You will quickly and easily see every device currently authorized to your Google music account along with their dates."

You can only dauthorize 4 devices a year now.

Just tested it and it will only allow 4 devices to be deauthorized before it gives you the "sorry you have deauthorized to many devices" message. That's going to be problematic if you change DD's every other month.
Google sooooo stupid.

It sucks as a service anyway. You have to jump through hoops just to get what you pay for in a format that you can take elsewhere. I use it like the Amazon app store, download freebies or cheap stuff and ignore it otherwise.

I really hate this since I use this a lot. Will we have to re-authorize if we restore google music though Titanium?
According to the edit, Google has fixed the issue but the deauthorization still shows 4 as the limit.
I just went through and deauthorized 9 accounts like a week ago. Who knows.

They should have updated to an unlimited amount as of the new year and I could be wrong but I believe it registers devices not roms.. meaning if you flash a rom for our t989..that's 1 device regardless if its juggs, cm7 or darkside.. build.prop will determine device
this might be a little off topic, but is there a music app that lets me create a playlist easily without having to add songs 1 by 1? i just want to be able to play my 2000 songs in random order without the same songs repeating. i tried to do this by play shuffle all but once it stops and i start the next day, some song from previous day gets played again.
They reverted back till they make it where it.reads.the.phone id number because.the.build.prop was a stupid idea.

In subsonic you can just add everything to play then shuffle and save the playlist. At most it would be 26 + numbered artist names to add via play now. The random shuffle feature doesn't add very many songs. I think one file manager will allow you to create a playlist just by selecting the directory that contains the music. Its not estrongs. Can't remember the name of it.

The newest Google Music App has been updated in the market. For those of you that were not watching or could not watch the live event the app stoe (WEB ONLY right now) is also live. You are able to purchase tracks from the music store and share them via Google+ when you share them people can listen to either 1 track you share of the entire album 1 time for free and chose to buy it after the fact.
Also Google Music is no longer invite only and open to everyone. There is no fee attached to this you are still able to upload 20,000 songs of your own and stream them FOR FREE!
<3 Google Music Beta was great I'm glad they have kept this free of charge for streaming and storing music.
Edit.
Just to make things a bit more clear you should no longer need to request a Google Music invite I had invites left for the Beta but they have now been removed from my page Google Music should be OPEN and Live to EVERYONE as of Today!
+1
I was afraid that the upload/streaming service portion of it would be a paid service. Relieved to know that it'll still remain free Say what you want about google but they provide a lot of premium service with absolutely no charge to you (Other than, of course, learning what you like and selling **** to you)
I was using the leaked 4.0.1 music apk, i tried to update and it failed, so i uninstalled the old one, deleted the apk from system/app. Downloaded the new one from market. It installed fine but when I open the app it just flicks a black screen and goes right back to where i started the app from. any ideas?
Did you try clearing the cache and app data at all? I was not using the leaked version since I'm not rooted (I was able to install it but never got it to work since you actually needed root to move things around iirc to get it working.)

This is supposed to work like the login with Facebook option on many websites it's basically so you don't have to come up with 5 billion user names and passes instead you just log in with Google plus to get onto a site. The settings thing is probably just a spot to adjust what is being used with what sites or apps.

You're joking right? Something as small as this pushing people away from the only real option as far as mobile OSs go? There's almost no going over to iOS from android and WM is still a bit of a joke. It's not even that big of a deal. All it is is an option for developers to integrate into their apps for people to sign into other stuff using their G+ account/profile/whatever you want to call it.

While I agree for the most part I prefer these generic sign ins for things like forums or 9gag where there is no private info to be gained from getting into it and having a dozen logins and passwords for sights like these is bit unnecessary. In theory I can understand the idea for sights where purchases are made as well since you are logging on to the same account for everything there aren't dozens of places that have a credit card on file. However then you get into the one login problem and other security issues as well.

Ok so this has been pissing me off for a very long time and I have done a lot of research and read through a bunch of forums and im still NOWHERE. When you save music to the SD card in google music on our LG optimus G it saves it to /data/data/com.google.android.music/
This is a HORRIBLE place to save music. Every time you wipe data you lose all the music you have downloaded which in my case is upwards of 10 gigs. Not fun to download 10 gigs of music every time i switch roms. I could merely not wipe data, but the problem with that is its then a dirty wipe and ive been doing this long enough to know that dirty wipes don't always go perfectly. So on to the solutions I have tried that have failed:
1.) Use the music+ app made by a user here on XDA
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2140756
Now this solution seemed to work at first because when you download the music for offline use you can literally store it anywhere. So store it on the simulated sd card and your problems are solved right? wrong. after downloading all the music, wiping your phone flashing a new rom and restore the apk+data with titanium i find out that the app can not see any previously downloaded music that still exists in that folder and thus when you try to download more music, it wipes everything and starts fresh.
2.)Use Directory Bind created by another user on XDA
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
now I had some hopes for this one but unfortunately it cannot access data stored in /data/data i dont think it has root permissions, which is the problem
3.) I briefly tried symlinking the data from a different folder (though i may have done it wrong i didn't put my whole heart into the attempt)
this didn't work either (unless i simply did it wrong.)
If anyone has a solution that does actually work I would greatly appreciate hearing about it because its at the point where i hesitate before flashing roms because i dont want to lose all my music.
Also please don't suggest simply putting the music on my phone and using a different player. i have come to find that i need to use google music as not all my music fits on the amount of storage we are given and i inevitably need to stream it sometimes.
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. I hope this thread also helps others having the same issues.
Edit: this is interesting. im gonna take a crack at it see if it helps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1842568
I didn't read your whole post because I'm tired, but I do know you can place the music in whatever place you want, and the music application will pull it up.
Edit: also, in my experience, any music I've saved through the music app has stuck through several rom flashes, including EOS and CM.
Tried a few things, including the methods in that last link you posted. I was missing pictures since flashing CM because of the sdcard/0 partition thingy it created. They seem to have come back. Maybe that will fix your music issue.

Yeah im kind of hoping that the most recent solution i have found will solve my problem (deleting the nomedia thing) i haven't tried it yet but i would have to use google music+ for this not the regular. you can put your music elsewhere and google music will read it but see i want to have the adaptability of just clicking the save offline music thing to both add music to my offline, and remove music from it. its just convenient. If i had it in a different spot on the sd that wouldn't work.
when you flashed between eos and cm, did you factory reset in between? because if i dont do that the music will stay but i dont want to be constrained that way
There is an app called cloud music importer or something like that. It logs into your Google music account and then allows you to download your music. It stores it in the music folder under cloud music. Google music player will still play it too. The free version of the app only allows 50 downloads. There is an in app purchase that is tied to your Google account so you don't have to keep purchasing it.

Good idea but not what im looking for. two apps instead of one. and then the music is separate from the music in the google music app itself. kinda defeats the purpose
EDIT: i might end up giving in and doin this. i have been unsuccessful in just about every way im testing this app out to see how well it works
just realized this cant be my solution because i can't fit all my music on my phone otherwise this would be a good solution
You don't have to download your whole library. Just the albums or playlists that you want. I mainly use it to place music on my phone so zombie run can see it
Edit: I'm totally with you tho and wish it was back to how it was in the beginning instead of just downloading inside the app

if you sign up before the end of june it will be 7.99 for life. there is a little pin on the artists, albums. its called "pin" thats basically making tracks/albums/artists available offline.
this thing works AMAZING. ive tried spotify, pandora, and loved rhapsody. but this is truly innovative.
if you swipe left from the right of the screen when your streaming a "radio" it lets you peek at the next song. and if you click on the top icon "a list with a music note" it lets you see the entire radio playlist ahead of you. you can delete songs you dont want, and even rearrange the order of songs. you can also replay, and rewind songs your listening to. pandora, rhapsody. bye bye
Really loving this app update. Play Music sucked hard before this; album art and the little progress circle would disappear anytime you closed out the app, crashed for me, just generally not something I'd expect from Google. Now we've got $7.99 a month unlimited streaming with no ads that works on my phone AND through any browser, very nice looking new UI (even if some people aren't feeling the orange), I'm very happy! Spotify Premium might soon be cancelled!
Now if I can get gapless playback to actually work, it'll get that five star rating.
A weird thing I've noticed a couple times is that I'll choose a song to stream, and it'll work, but the audio quality is pretty crappy. To fix, I choose another song and then back to the first one, and voila, good quality. Not sure if it's my gloriously slow Sprint connection or an issue with the app.
I'm on the trial too... Searched for different artist and built a playlist with around 65 songs and now All Access added around 20 more automatically to my queue based on the artist and songs I was listening to.
I was swtiching between Slacker, Spotify and Grooveshark (locked in $3mo introductory)... Can't compare paid services with the first two since the free one gave what I was looking for. But this is basically Grooveshark on steriods! It's a bit tricky to get used to the UI and add songs to queue, tap on the wrong area and it plays that song and deletes your current queue creating a new station based on that artist.
What I don't like so far is the "dancing" album art when in app "listening now", flips side to side although looking at better it seems that the album art is too big and its doing a scroll to show all of it. Find it a bit annoying, but it could be just me :silly: It's missing the Android share feature, apparently it only shares on Google+ and apparenlty you only have that feature if you have the G+ app installed. I don't and the share option is missing, a friend has G+ installed and the option appears for him. Might need further confirmation... I really don't use G+ so I haven't seen the need to install it, barely use FB anyhow.
Would be nice to have the ability to change the theme of the UI, have different options. The orange/white layout is ok, but it's a bit too shocking. Bet some themers are already decompiling this thing and seeing if its possible to change it around :fingers-crossed:
I tested it with my car radio, Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS, with BT and sound output is really good. The display shows artist and track but it didn't show the track time, maybe in the next update.
So far, this is a keeper and good for the $9.99 but even better for the $7.99 introductory fee
Edit - Widget should have dislike or thumbs down button, only has thumbs up...
But all in all this is a great for a new service launch!
Only downside so far is the lack of sd card ability. No problem on my GS3, bit on my kids' Conquers, not so great.

Okay, spoke a little too soon. The ui and functionality for one wanting music "pinned" for off-line listening is not very intuitive. The download speeds are atrocious, which I see has been a Play Music issue for a while. No way to cancel pinning/downloading, and apart from clearing app data, I don't see a way to remove tracks from the phone.
I love the sound quality and the equalizer over Rhapsody. I love having the ability to download to more than 3 devices. I hope that they do some improving during this trial phase, because I like the sound and the principle. Even Rhapsody responding to the competition and improving would be terrific.

I'm downloading a few pinned songs now, very slow indeed!
As for deleting them, there is a clear cache option in settings but my assumption is that it'll delete all the songs you've downloaded or cached during playback. There is an unpin option if you tap the bottom left of the song tile (horizontal ...), try that and see if it removed that particular track. I'll give all that a shot when it finishes downloading, at this rate it'll be tomorrow morning
Nothing but f/c's for me. And it's atrociously ugly. Google effed this app up. Back to the previous version for me... orange and white, what is google thinking? The new gtalk- hangouts is even worse...

I have that phone, as well as the HTC mytouch 4g slide, both are faster than the dz/g2 but in reality there isn't much of a reason to "upgrade" unless your dz/g2 is unfixably broken, every choice in the hardware keyboard line is only a modest improvement and sometimes feels like a step back

i have the huawei u8730 and there's no dev interrested to work on it
it have better hardware than desire z but stuck on GB
i am interrested to the samsung galaxy s relay 4g but hight price on ebay
And the vision has KitKat, and has the talent to get the next version of android. Another reason to keep it
Both the relay and the 4g slide will likely get the next version of android through talented devs, so in my opinion those are the only qwerty phones that are mildly worth upgrading to, but again barely an upgrade and only worth it if your vision has been broken beyond repair

kitkat ok but on my phone i have no sim access with all rom no based on stock, and i won't deal with this sort of rom.
i haved the same problem with my zte blade before
This the same on many phones and across many custom ROMs. As I explained to you in another thread of yours this issue has been around since the very first android device and one of the all time greatest android devs, cyanogen himself, did not get it fixed on many ROMs on many devices. I'm sure if he and other developers felt it was a large issue than it would have been handled by now. But sim contact management has become obsolete with many other methods that work much better in most ways.
The reason it works with some ROMs and not others is more than likely a framework issue that would take too much time to track down and resolve for very little gain.
But yes, custom ROMs on many devices are incomplete so if you want a device with most features working flawlessly than you will need to buy a nexus or flagship device every two years. But if you can handle minor inconveniences than you can buy a good quality phone with good dev support and wait every five years or so before upgrading.
Not trying to be harsh on you but there are many ways to work around your aim issue, I understand somewhat if you have a fear of Google having access to your contacts, but in reality they don't care about your contacts and T-Mobile or whomever has just as much access. Not to mention you have a Google made os on your phone which if they really wanted your contacts they are smart enough to get them out of your sim when using your phone I'm sure, so I can't say that fear of cloud contact storage is legitimate. But if the fear is that someone other than Google can break into your gmail account and take your contacts than I would argue anyone with that talent and motivation could also find other means to get them.
Sorry again for sounding harsh, but you have posted that comment no less than dozen times in the past week across many threads, and I just don't see it as a topic with discussing

can't have access to sim card directly it's not a problem but when i select import from sim doesn't work that's a problem.
i don't have data in my contract so i don't use sync with google
I assume you have an android device because you at least occasionally go online or use apps that need data. You also change ROMs a lot which require downloading them. This makes me believe you at least occasionally use WiFi. Syncing your contacts once when changing ROMs is all you need to do, which takes seconds and then you never need to sync them again unless you change ROMs or add a contact, which so long as you every so often get near WiFi is more than enough to do so.
If you don't have WiFi or data I would argue you don't really need an android device with the latest software on it. Maybe I'm wrong here but do you get from KitKat and no data/WiFi that you get in gingerbread with no data/ WiFi that you get with an even older device/os with no data/WiFi.
Again I assume you occasionally use some form of internet connection which will more than suffice when syncing contacts.
But if not, already mentioned you could use SD card

does i need gmail on my phone (i don't have it) ?
i have tested to sync but on the other phone when i want to sync ,there's no contact.
Yes, you need to create a gmail account. You don't need to use it for email (but what other email service is better?)
Your gmail account can sync email, contacts, calendar, photos (through g+) files (through drive) notes (through keep) videos (through YouTube) music (through play music) TV and videos (through play video) SMS and call log (through sms backup+ - not Google but uses gmail) apps (through play store) browser favorites/shortcuts (through chrome) books (through Google play books)
Well probably much more too, Google has loads of nice free cloud based storage that integrates beautify with android and is perfect for those who like to flash many ROMs as so much can be backed up and restored with little or no effort.
Not to mention many other apps to back up other features.
Yes there may be privacy concerns but Google doesn't care about my personal contacts or photos, they just want to advertise to me, which a descent addblocker eliminates that. I just don't backup anything that I wouldn't want Google or others to know about me... Which is minimal....

does i need gmail on my phone to sync my contact?
No, just sign into account on device, either when you first start phone after flashing a new ROM or when singing in to play store for first time

You don't,
Flash sense ROM
Go to contact app
Check out the settings
Sync it to google
Will be synced forever,
Or just sign into gmail and manual add them all in, or export on to SD then import into Google, lots o ways, you'll figure it out I'm sure

i think i will use sd card to backup up contacts
note: i'm a really big s h i t
it seems the development is abandonned on LG C800 and there's no dev on huawei u8730
Did you try this:
backup your rom (with 4ext recovery)
flash a GB rom (ILWT I.E.)
reboot
move your contact from SIM to Phone
backup your contact
restore your rom
import the contact
