Please Help!!
For not reading i did a process that was not compatible with my device.
I have an Inspire 4G and i was trying to put ENG-OFF following this steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=855403 to run "Desire HD s easy-off.exe" gave me "Bootloader is Corrupt. DO NOT REBOOT!" (He went out alone) and I could not take him with anything, i connect to the charger and nothing, the PC and nothing, as 20 minutes after i had pressed the power button turned on the phone with the white screen and vibrating continuously approx 8min, the problem is that in the beginning it takes too ... Now every time I reboot so, and if It discharge the battery will be useless because the phone doesn't take energy when connected to the charger or the pc .....
- I can not enter the bootloader, I managed to do with the "Super Tool V3" and the recovery reinstall the ROM, I thought it would end the problem but stayed the same, takes too long to start and does not grasp the power of the charger.
- I flashed via RUU with PD98IMG.zip from bootloader and nothing.
What can i do? What is it?
I saw that the bootloader says "ENG-OFF" and if i step back to ENG-ON?
I greatly appreciate (and have no idea how) that can help me please .....
(sorry about my english)

I have a nordic HTC Touch Pro 2
This unit started acting up after I installed the Energy ROM from the 20th of December. It used to fail in booting occationally(fixed by attaching USB-power), but now it is thouroughly stuck in the bootloader.
This is what I see when I reboot:
RHOD100 32M SS-BC
SPL-0.85.OliNex
MicroP(LED) 0x0A
MicroLED(KEY) 0x04
TURBO HW/TURBO SW
TP MFG DATA
509,521 792,844
795,200 221,198
226,843 Calibrated
Serial (changes to USB when connected)
There is a quick flash of 2 previous screens, one tri-color and one saying something about no image to load.
I belive, but would be thrilled to be proven wrong, that I have tried all tricks.
Running Windows 7 I first disabled device driver signing and loaded the HTC USB driver. Downloaded mtty 1.42, connected to the phone via USB and ran "boot" command.
The only problem listed was one bad block in CE.
Tried reboot again with same error.
"info 8" revealed that the bad block is 370.
Ran "task 29" but it gave an error trying to delete block 370.
Rebooted and tried to flash latest 29007 Energy ROM. No errors reported during the flash, still when it rebooted after reaching 100% it stopped in bootloader again.
I have also tried this procedure and replaced the Energy ROM with the latest original nordic ROM. When I use "boot" command from mtty I get the HTC screen (white background with htc in green letters) but the phone apparantly is stuck there. A soft restart brings me bach to the bootloader again.
Is my phone bricked? I'm not sure what to do or try next and as I have seen others report my battery is draining and will not charge(no light) when plugged in to computer or charger.
Thanks in advance, I love what you all do for this community and wouldn't have still used tha TP2 if it wasn't for all the great ROMs presented here!
NVM, re-read and see you already tried my suggestion.
Additional info
I ahould add that I also can't do a hard reset. Pressing and holding send and end and then power button only result in getting the bootloader menu. I borrowed a freshly charged battery and tried loading a new ROM, but no change, it still only restarts to the bootloader after completion.
If you can get into bootloader and the usb shows when plugged in, you should be able to flash back to stock via RUU.
Try this;
Open your downloaded ROM with unzipper. You should see two files, the RUU and the RHODIMG.nbh. Copy the .nbh onto the root of your SD card. Powerup the device holding the volume down. It should boot to bootloader and immediatly look for and find the .nhb and install it.
Hope that helps.
Hi!
Thanks for your answers! Sorry about the late reply!
I tested with RHODIMG.nbh file(29007 Energy) on the SD-card. The installation started and ran as expected. When done the screen showed the following info:
"RHODIMG.nbh - OK
OS - OK
Update Complete
UPDATE SUCCESS"
There were no button to press on the screen, and pressing the power-button didn't do anything. I eventually removed the battery, reinstalled the battery and pressed the power button. Unfortunately for me I was once again presented with the bootloader screen.
Any ideas to a new approach? I really don't want to write off the phone as bricked, it should have about a year left in it before I consider replacing it.
Try this:
When powered off, attach headset to the phone. Then press power button.
My Touch Pro2 ran into the same situation recently, showing nothing but a 3-color screen with the same information as you listed. I haven't tried mtty but I found if I plug in the headset, it boots normally. No idea why...
It sounds like an error in the instruction set for the bootloader. Maybe cmonex can help you with a bootloader-friendly version of Hard SPL to re-flash.

he already has Hard-SPL so he could just reflash it with the Hard-SPL exe in manual mode, but as the version number is the same, the device may skip the updating of the SPL. if the OP wants to try this, I can make one with a different version number. though I seriously doubt that the issue would be fixed that way...
Headset trick
Hi,
Again, thanks to all that try to help me!
I tried the headset trick just now and look and behold, it actually worked! My limited brain can't come up with any plausible explenation but I'm happy anyway
I do remember reading about this trick at some point, but I couldn't locate a headset until today. Thanks lilei105!
Now I will reboot the unit several times to ensure this wasn't just a coincident.
Edit: Booted 4 times, still no problem. Have booted both with and without USB-cable connected to PC.
Yeah my advice would be re-flash it or install/download a different ROM.
i may be way off here, but could it be a problem with the volume down button on the unit? maybe the headset bypasses the standard volume button?
Hi everyone,
I hope someone can help me recover my Desire. Earlier today I tried flashing one of the alpharev HBOOTs to prepare for LeeDroid 3.0.7 Data++ edition. At some point something must have went wrong, because when I tried to do 'fastboot reboot-bootloader' the phone just turned off (or so it seemed...explanation further on). I subsequently tried pushing the power button to turn it back on, to no effect.
After leaving it for a bit (about 15 minutes or so), I decided to disconnect from the PC and pull the battery, since nothing was working. This is where the REAL problem appears. Now my phone refuses to boot, even refusing to vibrate when the power button is pushed. Here are some of my observations:
After pulling the battery and replacing it, then connecting to the charger, the 'charging' LED lights up
When I press power, the 'charging' LED goes off, but nothing else happens (no vibration, no boot sound, no screen action)
Holding the Volume Down key while pressing power (after a battery pull and replace) doesn't change anything regarding the boot process described in the point above
As far as I can tell, attempts to get into recovery/fastboot have failed
Holding the Back key while pressing power (after a battery pull and replace) also doesn't help
I've searched Google for about 3 hours now, and nothing I've come across seems to help. Also, this isn't an SLCD brick, since the phone has an AMOLED screen.
Any help getting the phone up and running will be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.
my friend warning are that no matter what DO NOT REMOVE BATTERY or it will possibly brick so in my opinion 95% you bricked your phone
hi, don't sounds good at all...
when you plug and push the power button, what does says your comp???
device unknow... nothing.
worse case scenario would be to put a PB99IMG
look at this to find the one matches with your phone (stock rom version )
http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Bravo
attached an howto http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22152187/How to Extract the ROM from an RUU.doc
hope this help
Yup you failed to flash the most fatal part of you system(the hboot), and after trying to reboot the first time, you had no way to correct the error, as it is no longer able to load the hboot in order to change anything on the flash-rom. So no pulling the battery didn't change anything, you were already bricked.
No way to bring it back through usb afaik
edit: and no ruu is very unlikely to work as well, as the hboot, which is supposed to flash it doesn't even boot.
only way i know of is jtag, which allows a specialized connector to flash the flash-rom directly through a jtag port on the motherboard, however, the riff box needed is quite expensive(129$). Good luck. I feel sorry for you.
Today there was an update 3.2 for my HTC FLYER so I downloaded it and started the install process. ( This was an official update as my rom is official )
So I started the install process and after some time it installed, and it started booting.
When it came to the HTC booting screen ( green HTC logo with white background) it stopped there and never booted to the Home Screen. I kept it like that for aprox. an hour but it didn't move from there.
Every time I rebooted it , kept stucking on the same point and never loaded on the home screen.
I tried factory restoring, through HBOOT but it kept transfering me to the HTC boot screen and kept staying there without going to the home screen.
My device was already S OFF .
I also tried connecting it to my PC with the USB cable but it didn't want to install the drivers. It failed every single time. I tried running HTC Sync but also it never recognizes the device.
Can anyone please help me? I can't even turn the device off, it keeps restarting to the boot screen and stays there for an unlimited amount of time.
With regards,
BUMP : Anyone???
I got the same problem. Anyone has a solution?
eric
got the same problem, can't even get the device to reset to factory, and the power light just keep blinking orange color, can't root to another OS either.
have tried the adb method and can't find the device.so can't do the RUU way.
anyone got any ideals?
I am in the same situation right now since last night... badly need to go back to the S-Off and phone feature running....
I've read about this problem in a german community. This workaround may work for you, but you do this at your own risk. I'm not responsible for any malfunctions or damages on your device! also note, that your sd-card will be completely wiped!
If you read the bold text above, you can try this:
plug in your flyer with your HTC AC charger
enter hboot
jump to "factory reset" with vol-down
HOLD vol-down AND power for ~30sec (after ~15sec the screen will be black with background-light, still hold down both buttons!)
after ~30sec the screen will be completely black
now you should see the green "arrow-ring", only now release vol-down and power
wait up to 10min and your flyer will boot properly
Got the same problem.
It's frozen: nothing works.
How do you connect it to the electrical grid?
Can you let it until the battery runs out?
Please help.
Thanks in advance,

Just plug in your HTC AC-power plug.
If you do that, your battery won't run out.
Edit: Removed, because question was answered above.
Thanks, woggly4

boot the htc flyer
If you plug in the AC-adapter it won't run out of power but you need to power it on to use it.
First download the recovery.img file for your flyer.
Then you need to setup the android SDK in your computer.
Boot it into the fastboot mode.
And then you run this commands from your command line
"cd C:\"the path where you have the fastboot file"
"fastboot flash recovery "the path where you have the recovery".img

Motherboard and ribboncable was changed one month ago on warranty.
Symtpoms:
- Charges normally: orange charging/green full charge. Flashing orange/green without battery
- Cant NOT boot at all
- cant get into bootloader vol down + pwr
- can not be detected buy PC
- Battery inserted and charging: When pressing power to turn on => charge light goes off - and nothing happens. Leaving it in this condition for a while: the phone(mainboard) gets warm.
The phone was functioning perfectly before my son installed bootmanager app. He uninstalled the bootmanager app again without making any changes to the phone. It took long time (like freezing), so he did pull the battery out!!
Any help? Tried a lot of searches, none of them was as my problem.
Thank you
Hi! Have you tried to leave the phone without the battery for 1-2 minutes and tried a reboot?
Take the battery out, unplug it, hold power for 30 secs to get any remaining juice out.
Leave the phone for 24 hours (with battery out etc.)
Stick the battery back in, try again.

What would be the cause for such a behaviour? I'm a little curious (and relatively new to the android scene)!
OT: I've took a look to your troubleshooting guide, good job indeed!

Really no idea, and what I told you to do is not guarantee'd to work, it may help though.
And thanks, it sure has cut down repeat posts about repeat problems by about 90% here.
Thank you all for your replies.
I did leave the phone without battery for several days - same problem.
But I did not try to press the pwr for 30 secs without battery. I will try when I get home.
I tried following:
- take battery out and reset it. then hold vol dwn + pwr -> Nothing
- take battery out and reset it. then hold back + pwr -> Nothing
By the way, if I press pwr to turn phone on, it does not come up, but leaving it for a while it gets warmer.
It looks like the CPU is trapped in a loop and running at full speed!
Could a riff box repair it?
do a battery pull then hold back & power. That usually boots into fastboot mode, see if the phone is recognised with
Code:
fastboot devices
if it is run the 2.3 RUU.
Dear bortak
I have tried. It does not enter fastboot.
command "fastboot devices" returns blank.
command "adb devices" returns empty list
command "adb reboot-bootloader" givers "device not found error"
RUU gives usb error.
have you installed the proper drivers on your pc for it to connect with the phone?
If so, when you attempt boot into fastboot and connect your phone through USB do you get the "device connected to windows" sound, like when plugging in and external driver or usb?
Because if not even that sound gets played it most likely means that your phone isn't even able to get into fastboot or hboot...
windows does NOT play any "device connected to windows" sound at all.
I have all drivers installed correct on my windows 7. My other HTC devices (desire s, wildfire, wildfire s) connects correctly to the PC and I can get the serial numbers of them using "fastboot devices" command.
Now on work, I tried a windows XP - same problem no connection - no sound.
This desire does NOT get into hboot nor fastboot. I think taht the "bootsector" is correpted.
I even used a Goldcard (made thru wildfire) - not working either.
So fixing it thru USB the normal way is not working.
Is there any way to force the device to boot up from SD card??
I have several backups of the phone system on my 8GB SD card.
You have to find a way to re-flash the hboot. That causes the blank screen display. May be a bad hboot install or something :0 Unless you have S-off and can be detected in fastboot, you can reflash hboot, otherwise you will have to try the blind flash method using PB.IMG. Best I could think of.
Sent from my PB99400 using XDA
@Jonicraw, thank you for your suggestion.
Where to get the HBOOT PBxxxx.IMG for this desire?
And how to flash it blindly, since I have black screen and no connection to PC.

Same s**t for me ... I tried everything you try and no results !
Come on experts ... somebody must have knowledge to fix this common problem.
What about an "Unbrick Jig" like the one for samsulng galaxy:
MICRO USB JIG DOWNLOAD MODE DONGLE FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S2/I9100/I9000
This device may force the cpu to boot from usb, getting it in "boot flashing" condition.

No such things exists for the Desire.
Tell me what state the phone is currently in now?
Yet no solution for this problem...
STATUS for my device is:
Problem solved by changing the motherboard.
I hoped we could find a good solution for this.
I have the same problem but my phone is already on it's 3rd motherboard. I suspect the battery might be the problem but cannot get any answer as to what the voltages should be. I have already submitted a post headed Battery Voltage but it hasn't attracted a reply.
Hi there,
I got the same problem.
Can I send the phone to HTC even if I have rooted it? I also opened it a few weeks ago to replace the broken touchscreen. Do I still have warranty?
Greetings
Mika
Hello guys,
I am new here and thats my first post, please tell me when I do something wrong. But I think this is the best forum to ask :
I had a well-functioning HTC One X. But at once it doesn´t start and stuck in the HTC bootlogo. I googled it and after many days I try to unlock the bootloader. The bootloader starts only after many trys and then shows a red field "battery level is too low to flash"(connected to PC). The red led doesn´t lights up. I leave it in the bootloader and after many hours it starts normally (bootloader still locked). I set the phone back to factory settings (not in the bootloader). I used it like every day, but after hours when I switch to the normal menü it was stucked for 5 seconds and then the screen become black and it wont restart. I buy accumulator for the phone and exchange it (I have a little bit "hardware skills"). I connected it with loading cable to the socket (not the PC!). The red LED flashes for a second and then happens nothing. After many trys the bootloader shows up (connected to my PC) and I googled for almost hours to find a solution. "I have to install a custom ROM". I unlocked the bootloader with the programm "One X All-In-One Kit v2.3". I don´t know why but I shut the phone down. I try to start the phone or the bootloader but it doesn´t work. I try it now for weeks but it is dead (but I´m very sure the problem that it doesn´t starts is not due to the unlocked bootloader, because it is the same problem with the "not starting" like the time before I unlocked it). But the strange thing is... and now comes the important part... when I connect the phone with my PC the PC make the "USB connected"-sound and says that there is a unrecognized device connected. And when I try to start the bootloader the PC makes the "USB disconnected"-sound and a second later the "device-driver software not installed"-sound (I hope you know what I mean) and when I keep trying to start the bootloader it happens again and again the same. I tried almost everything, I use a loading.bat file but it can´t detect the phone (you know "unrecognized device"). Is it the accumulator ? Is the hardware dead ? Or what is the problem ?
I hope you understand this text (I´m sixteen and from germany). If you don´t please ask me every question you have. I really hope you can help me with my really long-term problem.
Thanks for every question, reply, solution or improvement proposal for me
XilentMe
So, what i have deduced is that
1. You are stuck on fastboot with low battery.
2. Your PC does not recognize your device.
For this purpose, first download and install the htc usb drivers. These should work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2211791
Then visit this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658084
follow the instructions, once your phone is charged enough, unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery, boot into recovery and let it charge for a while, then flash a new rom.
Dont forget to press the Thanks button if i helped
Okay thanks for your proposal, but the problem is now that I can´t boot into bootloader, the phone does nothing. No reaction, no charging LED, no normal boot, no bootloader...absolutely nothing. Only when I connect the HTC to the PC the PC make the "USB-device connected" sound, as if you connect a USB-stick to your PC, but nothing else happens.
Any ideas or similar problems ?
XilentMe
So try to charge via pc. Leave for some time connected to pc and try to power up.
Hey,
I tried it, but it didn´t work. Nothing happens, only the "plug off-sound" when I want to start the bootloader via volume down+power button, while it is connected to the PC. I have no idea what to do.
