I was wondering if someone could help me. I really like using swipepad but it causes lag in the general feeling of any rom. Is there a memory setting or something i can do to keep the smooth feel of a rom while using swipepad?

No swipe pad. It's a nice little tool to quickly jump to any app. It's in the market.

Its typical I'm guessing... kind of like when you have a toast notification and it lags until it goes away... this might be suffering the same issue.

Much appreciated..I was thinking there was some "force gpu rendering' or memory option that i could tune up.

I'll give it a try but I'm not hopeful. Thanks.

Yea. Nothing really helped swipe pad. I have found that using aokp b35 with nova launcher and setting my my right soft key to open the app drawer gets rid of the need to use swipe pad

I cannot confirm this on Nexus 7.
I have a long time experience with SwipePad on my Gingerbread Samsung Galaxy W. I have buy full collection: https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Calcium+Ion
I can start apps on this phone without any delays, I have never seen toast notification "Starting App_Name" on it.
Now I have SwipePad installed on my shiny new Jelly Bean Nexus 7 too. Even here SwipePad usually responds immediately without any delay (I mean how long it take to start swiped app), but sometimes I get in the bottom third of the screen toast notification "Starting App_Name" with some delay, let say 1 or 2 second or so. Why is there this delay on Jelly Bean (4.1.2) and only sometime?

Hey guys.
I've been having some frustrating moments with my notification drawer.
8 out of 10 times it will come down, sometimes I have to swipe 2 or 3 times...so flaky and annoying. Could this be a simple bug? Anyone had this from time to time? Its not a deal breaker, just a little strange. My HTC Incredible S never missed a beat in this area so could be a ICS gremlin.
Thanks in advance.

Which version of android are you on? I'm just curious but I would assume 4.0.2 after reading a bunch of very similar posts just earlier today

Thanks for your reply.
Yeah. 4.0.2. Stock. No root, no unlocks.
So you've seem others with same issue?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
4.0.2 is generally just considered to be laggy in general
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I have general screen non responsiveness also. Everyone else the same??

No, what exactly are you referring too?
Thanks guys.

Haven't had this issue at all. Stock 4.0.2 GSM.
Yeah its really taking the enjoyment out of this handset. I mean it feels like I have half a phone that wasn't ready for release. Buggy as. Why I say!!! Why!!!!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I mean I could root the phone but I'm afraid of getting even worse issues. Unless someone can point me to an absolutely flawless release?
Thanks guys.

Really? Couldn't read the other threads on this? lol.
I was told that it hampers performance for many apps, so I disabled it..
In conclusion, I am not using Forced GPU rendering.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
I always have it on
I have mine on. Don't really notice any difference.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
In apps that don't have gpu rendering enabled by default you see a very big difference in scrolling performance when you force enable it. e.g tapatalk 1.x (2.x uses gpu by default so no difference)
It only improves performance in the apps that don't have hardware acceleration enabled by default. I keep mine off because some apps (like Engadget) glitch out when forced to use the GPU and don't display things properly.
This phone's CPU is fast enough that GPU acceleration isn't exactly needed. It does make a noticeable difference, though.

It's called "Free Launcher" not free "MIUI Launcher", though it's probably going to be free. It is released together with their new phone "MI-TWO", which costs around $310 with a qualcomm qual core S4 CPU. The launcher will also be put in the latest GN 4.1 miui release.
When miui 4.1 drops that's where I'll be for awhile. I had it on my ego 4g, nexus s 4g, galaxy s II and my galaxy nexus...

It won't be all colorful and every as you may expect, it'll be kinda small and in black and white

Haha for the first 30 seconds of the video it kinda looks like how iPhone does it. I was playing with a friends 4s and that bottom bar with the recent apps on it looks pretty much the same.
Now having 2 different apps open & on the screen at the exact same time.....wow. That's awesome and I hope we can get it too!
It is sad that Cornerstone did not take off. I loved it on my HP Touchpad. Being able to run three apps at the same time was just so awesome.
