Need help immediately please! - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

My phone decided it wanted to NOT start back up. It started to, but then it went EXTREMELY slow upon boot and froze. I battery pulled, and it did the same. I tried another battery and this time it started going normal then it did the same.
I battery pulled and it showed just the Google logo and froze there.
I pulled the battery and it won't turn back on at all now. I tried my 2 different batteries. I tried directly plugging it into the outlet and USB.
I have it in USB and it shows up as OMAP4440 for like 2 seconds in Device manager then disconnects and then reconnects and disconnects and reconnects.
Can someone tell me what's going on here... please?

I got it to turn back on. It just shows the Google logo and that's it. It doesn't show the Unlock symbol. Then it goes and looks like it's starting up Eclipse, but goes into a boot loop...

And now it's booted up..
I have no idea what the hell just happened, but it looks like I'm going to install a new ROM later tonight and not let this guy shut off or anything! D:

I'm sure whatever was wrong with it, repeatedly pulling the battery didn't help it. You should have gotten the output of logcat and dmesg to see what was going on in the background.

Galaxy Nexus not charing properly!

Hello,
today I was fooling around with my Phone, flashing stuff etc... =D
I wanted to flash the touch version of CWM and decided to delet everything and install my phone completely new without all the junk. So I made a Titanium Backup and than I wanted to copy the backup to my PC. There the problems started, I chose the Titanium folder and wanted to copy it to my PC but just the folder was copied without the contents. I didn't get it to work. Then suddently my PC couldnÄt recognize my GNex anymore.
Because of that I just deleted everything with a Filemanager and just left the Titanium Backup Folder on the SD, a ROM (AOKP b27), Francos.Kernel and a Boot Animation zip.
So then I went into Fastboot mode and installed the new CWM with the GNex Toolkit and than flashed everything without problems.
After rebooting I plugged my Phone into the Wall Charger (the one supplied with the GNex) and had to discover, that it wouldn't charge at all. So now I can't charge it while the phone is on, I can only charge it while it's off?! And while it's off the screen shows the batteryicon with the flash inside and than for 5 secs it show an animaton of the battery filling up, and then the screen stays black for 1-2 secs and the icon with the flash comes again; is this the normal animation? I think I can remeber it just showing the icon with the flash once and then just the battery charging right?
So I googled a bit about this problem and I don't think it has something to do with the software; so can anyone give me some advise? Is it broken, do I have to send it in?! =(
Sounds like something is up with your ROM or kernel. Have you tried performing a nandroid backup and flashing AOKP?
Well, I did install everything new, ROM & Kernel because I thought that could help but it didn't
Edit:
Just now: Phone was charing while off, I booted it up and in the Battery Settings Screen there was the message " not being charged", I unplugged the phone and the message changed to "discharging" then I plugged it in again and suddently it was charging, unplugged again and plugged in again but now it just stays at discharging
Could the battery be defectiv?
Edit2:
Ok, so now I installed 4.0.2 Stock Google with Gnex Tollkit and it seems to be working, so porbably something witht he rom...strange I ask myself what could have done it?
Ok I need help!
So my problem is not yet solved...
Now my phone charges while on but when I disconnect it it's still charing... The symbol on the battery icon in the notification bar shows the little flash and in Batterysettings the graph keeps reseting the time every 10-20 secs...
So basically the phone - even not on the charger - keeos showing every 10-20 secs that it's charging and than it's not and this keeps going...
I think it must be a hardware problem with the battery because I already flashed a completly new rom and kernel etc....
Anyone suggestions?
Edit: Oh something that I noticed too...since it keeps charing and discharging my screen goes on everytime it "charges"...

Help ! got exactly the same problem on my GN =(
Have the same problem, heres a very helpful response to a thread i started:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23411891#post23411891
I had this same exact problem two days ago. After a lot of googling and changing roms and going back to stock I brought it to Verizon.
The woman there basically told me in not so many words that if it's charging and not dying immediately I should try living with it, which I told her was unacceptable. I said "you can clearly see that it shows it's charging right now. While the phone thinks it's charging, it doesn't go into proper sleep mode, and therefore the battery drains much faster. Additionally, I don't know when it's charging for real or just saying it's charging."
She went into the back for a minute and came back out and offered to ship me one. I just got a "certified like new" shipped to me next day (I have the insurance on the phone) and it seems perfectly fine so far. Updated to 4.04 and restored with Titanium Backup.
From everything I've read it looks like a hardware problem and won't be fixed with software. You may temporarily fix it by leaving the battery out for like 30-40 seconds, but then when you go to plug it in you're going to introduce the problem again.
I would bring it into Verizon and tell them it's unacceptable, and demand they replace it. Good luck.

[Q] Bricked Trophy?

My trophy started acting up today... during normal use the shutdown screen pop up. I'd slide it back up, it's come down 5 seconds later, I'd slide it back up, then it would reboot. This happened a few times... I pulled the batter then powered back up and the same thing happened. Randomly, after a few more reboots, it stopped rebooting. I used it for a 30 seconds or so to check if I had filled up my storage space - nope, 3.1gb left. rebooted again out of nowhere. After a few more times of this, it shut down and won't start back up. Just a black screen. No lights. When I plug it into my PC via USB, nothing happens... My computer does recognize it and the charging light does not come on.
Thoughts? Dead? Could it be the battery? It was showing about 2/3 full when all of this started... never had a battery issue before though.
I have replacement coverage through Vz but i'd really like to wipe the phone before I give it back to them...

Non-rooted LG G3 D855 suddenly stuck on boot / can't get into recovery

Last night at a party I go to take a picture by holding down the Volume Down button whilst locked. The camera app didn't pop up and subsequently my phone crashed. I thought nothing of it, but then it wouldn't turn off or recognise anything. Even when I popped the battery out and in. It's stuck on boot. So I let it run out of charge, go home, charge it and the little battery icon animation that goes round once you've turned it on gets stuck, I can't tell what the phone's percentage is - it just stays frozen. Stuck on this now instead of boot.
After about 10 minutes of it being stuck suddenly I got the error message:
[784680] Fastboot mode started
?!?! What gives? I only rooted it once but then flashed it to stock immediately when the phone first came out and I've left it as is since.
Any help is really appreciated. I need my phone for work tomorrow.

Update: I sent it in for RMA. Will be receiving a replacement unit today. Seems like the only way around it, if a swap is the way to "fix" this.

Phone Turning off by itself.

So I have this weird issue with my HTC ONE M7 for a few days now. It would turn off by its own when I was using it but I'd just turn it on and it will work again. I thought it may have something to do with a bad app or the rom might be acting up. Anyway I ignored it since turning it on was a minor inconvenience and I needed my phone functional. Today whilst using GPS, the phone suddenly went dead on me. Every time I boot it up, it passes the initial HTC screen but then doesn't boot into android. The screen goes black and the phone turns off by itself. I went it recovery, wiped dalvik and cache thinking it was an app causing a boot issue but that didn't help. The problem continued. I already had a backup so I went ahead and tried restoring it. It worked the first time. But the phone still won't boot. It would turn off automatically. Then I tried reflashing it with the backup. This time the phone would just turn off as soon as the restore process started. I finally got tired of it and decided to reflash with a new rom. The flash went fine. But lo and behold the same issue again. Boot animation and then black screen with the phone completely turned off.
I thought it might be the battery so I plugged it in to my laptop USB. It booted but when i was setting up android, it would just shut down again. Then I connected it to the wall socket thinking the phone will get more juice. This time around I was able to set it up. With the phone connected to the wall socket all was working splendidly. Please note that during all this time the phone was at 100% and there were no drastic falls in the battery levels.
As soon as I disconnect the phone from power, any power intensive operation shuts it down. I have been in recovery mode for 2 hours now and the battery hasn't even dropped by 3%.
So the question is, What the hell is going on? Is it the battery, is it phone's hardware or is it a software issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cuz if it's something that can't be fixed, I have to start thinking about getting a new phone then. THANKS so much for bearing with me! Cheers!!

if you are s-off i would suggest doing an RUU and starting fresh. Its hard to pin point a problem without having the device handy and trying some things. The RUU will let us know if its a software problem or if its going to be hardware related.
Hey thank you so much for replying. I am s-off. But would going back to stock re S-On my phone? And how do I do RUU? Thanks again.

Do not s-on! Just run the ruu eye dottat made
Installed RUU. The problem is still there. The phone can stay on for hours in recovery without a charger but as soon i want too boot into android it shuts down. It only boots up if it's connected to a charger and that too a wall socket not a usb hub cuz it goes some way into the boot process and shuts down half way. I am pulling my hair out here. Dunno if it's the battery or the mother board.

If ruu still has issues. It is motherboard or battery. From the symptoms, it sounds like battery as the phone needs to have some juice to fully boot the phone before being able to run off the charger.

SMT700 Won't Boot correctly

Hi. I've got a SMT700 that I purchased new and have used for several years with only minor troubles(Having to reconnect the battery occaisonally) and recently I had a new issue come up I've no idea how to fix. My knowledge on this stuff has extremely large holes in it, so I may have missed something obvious. I've been poking around all week trying to figure it out to no avail.
Anyway, the issue: My daughter was using the tablet and it became unresponsive. I popped the back off and fixed the battery cable(It had come out) and after doing so it flat out refused to turn on. Wouldn't boot in recovery or anything else I could think of. So I plugged it in overnight and let it charge just to make sure, since I wasn't sure if it had had much of one when it turned off. Will not turn on. If you push the power button while it's plugged in, the status of the charge(Says 100%) will blank out and then it resets like I just plugged it in. I've found that if I try to boot it in Recovery, it will come up just fine - if I unplug it, it turns off instantly. If I reset it, it turns off and goes back to the charge status screen as if I just plugged it in. It just has the Samsung firmware installed, I believe fully updated(I rarely check it since the tablet is old and it's literally just used for Disney+ for the kid lately) I'm at loss for what could it causing it or what I can do to fix it. Anyone seen this and able to point me in the right direction? Thanks for your time.
Oh. And I have tried plugging it into the computer, but it doesn't even register as plugged in(Can't do recovery or anything) - that didn't really surprise me, it wouldn't charge that way before so I didn't think it would work.
