[Q] Has anyone noticed a hump on One X's back?

The title is self explanatory but has anyone noticed a hump one One X's back, one centimeter above the HTC logo? The hump is is barely noticeable (probably less than 0,5mm, I can't even take a picture to show it) but I can feel it. I'm a bit afraid because it's more or less where the battery's top end is located.

Yes. I have that little unnoticeable hump as well just right above the "HTC" name.
I think its normal.

nope not me just checked on reading this thread mine is totally flat no hump what so ever above or below the back HTC marking:good::laugh:

The Tegra 3 chipset is located below the camera sensor.. (below the HOX ring) As you know Tegra 3 is a QuadCore processor and gets heated up so fast.. (compared to other processors) So the hump can be mostly associated with the heat produced by the chip as it moulds the polycarbonate back casing..

Actually, it isn't that above. It's between the HTC logo and the usb port. If you look to the phone insides, it is exactly where the battery ends. My Desire battery expanded a bit on that spot, so I guess it can be related to that.

i have notice it more than a month ago

Yup! I have that hump too. It's more pronounced when the phone is hot. It's soft too.

It bends as it get heated therefore showing the contour of the internal. The 'hump' is actually the top edge of the battery.

No hump on my 7months old one x despite how I overheat it the hell out of it

It seems it is rather common. And since the hump is so slight, most people won't actually notice it.

Yeah that's cuz of overheating... Polycarbonated back moulds up when it heats...even when you'll press the hump you'll feel a blank space....

Exactly...i too have a very slight hump...almost negligible, and when you press it seems empty from inside...dont worry mrguna ur battery is not gonna explode

There is absolutely nothing of the sort on my One X...

[Q] One X Rear Housing Change

Hello Fellow One X users,
Im kinda new to XDA, and I was wondering if I could get a new housing for my International One X, My housing is pretty beat up.
Would a One X Plus Housing fit? Ive looked at other posts on XDA but no one gives a straight answer.

Haha yeah apparently you need to cut off a tiny bit of the One X+ housing to make it fit, Do you know if it will fit?

I have a white hox+ cover on my hox. If you do it right it fits. Message me if you need help

Question about cases

At the moment there aren't too many cases available for this phone. I was wondering if anyone had tried using a case for the One X or S? I know the X is very similar in size but it's just slightly bigger. Specifically, I was looking to get a Trident case if anyone has input on those.

Is HTC One battery compatible with HTC One X? Is it possible to buy online a htc one battery and put it to my htc one x, 500 mah more worth the try?

Think the HTC One X+ might be your best bet as this is confirmed to work.

No, it is completely different.

I don't think these two batteries are compatible. Neither the size.

Hello m8,
I changed last week the battery of my HTC one x (eq. 2years old).
I put a new HTC one x + battery in it (bought at amazon for 27€)
It takes 1h disassembling and a lot of nerves and beads of perspiration
But at last the change were successful!

Though you can use the HTC One X+ battery on you One X.

Recently my One X battery is getting worse and less than 3 hours screen time. Hence I'm thinking to get a One X+ battery. Also, since my housing has some scratch mark, I'm wondering is One X+ housing will be compatible to our One X? I'm quite fond of the red ring on X +.
Any recommendations seller that ship internationally? Thanks guys

Although the One X+ housing looks the same with the One X's, i've seen that most sellers in ebay mention that it's not compatible.
