NOTICE - Just wanted to let everyone know that the toolkit might not be updated for a while. Not because I am not working on it. But I am switching programming languages and improving a lot of aspects of the toolkit. Mostly because of the feedback I have gotten. I am going to be doing the toolkit in a way that will save you all a lot of hassle with installing and downloading, and the next major release will also auto update. I will however be doing bug fixes until the next release. I want to thank all of my followers and donors for the continuous feedback and support. I do this all for you.
Thanks,
Ajster1989

You need to delete the T989 folder to use the ICS Root Update... Just for tonight till I get a real update out tomorrow.
Here is what it can do so far:
- At start it checks to see if USB Drivers is installed, if it's not installed will download and installs Kies for you. (This insures that your USB Drivers are correctly installed)
- At start it checks for USB debugging connection to ADB
- Phone selection menu to chose which SGS II phone you have, and set's tool kit up for that phone.
- Only downloads the files for the phone you select (Currently only T989)
- Guides you through installing CWM
- Guides you through Rooting your device
- Guides you through Flashing a Custom ROM
- Guides you through Flashing back to STOCK (Auto downloads when needed)
- Reboots Recovery and Download
- Side Load APK's
- Keeps track of your current phone, last flashed recovery, last flashed rom.
Want a feature that I haven't added, request it in the comments or PM me and it might be added to my next release.
Features to come in next release:
- I will be adding support for ROMs to be flashed through ODIN.
- I will be looking into adding a menu of different ROMs to download
- I will be adding Super.Wipe Script, will be pushed with all ROMs. (Waiting for Dev Permission)
- I will be adding also the counter reset script as an option.
Please let me know of any bugs.
Known Bug's so far:
-none (let's find some)
The more feedback I get the quicker I will have a better version, will be adding support for the rest of the family of SGS II's too.
Download from my website at the link below...
No install needed, I recommend putting the file inside a folder by itself.

First of all, The laptop I am using is a Vista machine. When launching the toolkit, I was receiving an error. I was able to resolve by replacing the included cmd.exe with the one in my system32 folder.
Now I attempted to launch again, and seem to be stuck on the "Please plug your phone in to continue" message. Kies has not previously been installed. I tried replugging the phone, but no go, seems to be hung on this screen.
That said, thanks for packaging all the files together, I can manage from this point (I know what to do), just figured id provide some feedback.

Yes this is a known bug(sorry for that) I have included the kies download link above, please install from there and re-run the program, Also note that if your running on a 32-bit maching there is another kies bug that doesn't allow it to advance.
Install kies, if that doesn't work let me know. Tonight I will be fixing both the kies bug and the 32-bit bug and I will message you when I have it uploaded.
Thanks
Also can you send me the vista file that you used, so I can include it in the next release... I don't have any vista computers lol 4
I don't have any Vista boxes either, just rooting the phone as a favor for my dad, and his laptop is running Vista... I was able to install Kies from Samsung's site without issue. Also, after double checking, this thing is 32 bit as well, so that is probably the same problem you had mentioned in your OP.
Thanks for the quick reply. Sent you a PM about the cmd.exe for Vista.
32-bit

Well yes the program is 32-bit but the issue is with the kies installation check...
I only programed it to check for it in the ProgramFiles(x86) folder.
I need to als have it check for it in the same location but without (x86) for 32-bit computers.
I tested it out on a 32-bit machine and it didn't progress to the next command.
Thanks for this. The more tools the better.

Nice! Considering the fact that I hard bricked my device the first time I tried to install CWM, I'll probably give this a whirl. I'm on W7 x64 - will I have any compatibility issues?
I fixed all compatibility issues in the release I just uploaded, but it originally only worked in w7 x64 lol cause that what I have too...

Will this also work with Galaxy S II X T-989D?
The files included are for the T989, will add support soon, need to perfect scripting first before I add other phones.

Root.zip glitch
The CWM flash worked perfectly, but when I tried the root.zip, it gave an error. (Status=0) Is this due to the OS (2.3.6) or something else?
NVM: It was due to SD Card size, if the card is too small, the root.zip wont work properly.
what size is too small, so I can put a warning i'm my program.
Thanks

Android on your Windows Mobile HTC Device...
Supports Blackstone, Diamond, Diamond 500, Fuze, Raphael, Raphael 800, Rhodium, Tilt 2 & Topaz
This thread is dedicated to FroYo, and NOT Eclair releases!
First things first, this post is PURELY an instruction guide for noobies that aims to reflect the latest status and downloads (give or take a day).
I am not an Android developer, I do not create any of this software... this is done by far more talented people than I. This thread is purely to collate the latest info for Android on Windows Mobile HTC devices and make deploying Android on your device as simple as possible.
If you have new information that should be added to the guide (and is relevant for ALL folks) then feel free to add to the thread and I'll update the OP frequently.
These opening few posts should have ALL the latest info you need to get started (no need to trawl through the threads).
The only time you 'might' need to look in the thread is for 'breaking news' info that is no more than a day old...i.e. The Opening Post is the place!
Credits: There are too many to mention, and many are unknown, but basically the guys poring Android to our devices should be thanked, along with all those making the effort to help others test, document, or use their work (along with those who provide answers to the same questions, time and time again). These are the guys who deserve the credit. From memory...

Back to basics System... stock Android system.
Takes about 5 mins usage before the system starts to speed up, so expect it to be a little sluggish for the first 5 mins.
None 3D devices may not show boot screen, so please be patient during install (screen will show black)
I'd advise that once installed, you also launch SpareParts, and configure the window animations etc to 'fast'
There is a chance that after installation, some Startup.txt settings MAY be incorrect for your device. If you discover any mistake, PLEASE let me know, I will correct asap. I need your help on this guys.
How To Install (CAB Version)
Step 1 - Prepare your SD Card
Find a nice clean SD card to load Android on.
You can either format your card to get it entirely clean, or you can leave all the files you may already have on there.
*Warning* - If you have valuable data on your card, back it up. Android is usually safe, but if you can't afford to lose the data on your card, don't risk it!
Some cards have difficulty working, there is a POSSIBILITY this is due to the formatting of the card. If in doubt, format to FAT32, not FAT16
Step 2 - Download and install the CAB
Download and install the following 'full package' cab (a collection of ALL the files you'll need to run Android on your device) by clicking the XDAndroid Cab button below.
You MUST install on the Storage Card. The cab file will take a couple of minutes to install Android. Please be patient.
For those that are interested the cab files does the following:
- Installs Android in the root of the SD Card
- Deploys the correct Startup.txt for the device (the user can choose their device type)
- Adds a high res icon for Android in the root of the SD Card
- Installs a shortcut in Program Files named "Android" (launches Haret.exe)
- Installs the high res icon in the registry for WM6.5 users
Step 3 - Run Android
Android is now installed... So launch 'Android' from your Program Files menu in WinMo. Your phone should reboot into Android with 2 quick vibrations.
Have patience... the first time you do this can take a LONG time (3 mins or more). During the first boot on SOME devices, you will be asked to calibrate the screen. This is very similar to Windows Mobile screen calibration (except it's in text mode).
The reason the first boot takes longer is that Android is 'preparing' your device for the first time.
How To Install (ZIP Version)
Step 1 - Prepare your SD Card
Find a nice clean SD card to load Android on.
You can either format your card to get it entirely clean, or you can leave all the files you may already have on there.
*Warning* - If you have valuable data on your card, back it up. Android is usually safe, but if you can't afford to lose the data on your card, don't risk it!
Some cards have difficulty working, there is a POSSIBILITY this is due to the formatting of the card. If in doubt, format to FAT32, not FAT16
Step 2 - Download and extract the ZIP
Download and install the following 'full package' zip(a collection of ALL the files you'll need to run Android on your device) by clicking the XDAndroid zip button below.
You MUST unzip to the ROOT of the Storage Card. The zip file will take a short while to extract. Please be patient.
Once you've extracted the zip:
- Click Auto-Setup.exe to configure XDAndroid for your particular device
Step 3 - Run Android
Android is now installed... So launch 'Android' from your Program Files menu in WinMo. Your phone should reboot into Android with 2 quick vibrations.
Have patience... the first time you do this can take a LONG time (3 mins or more). During the first boot on SOME devices, you will be asked to calibrate the screen. This is very similar to Windows Mobile screen calibration (except it's in text mode).
The reason the first boot takes longer is that Android is 'preparing' your device for the first time.
If you want to exit Android and go back to Windows Mobile, then you need to shut down / reboot. To do so with the latest Android releases, hold down the 'end call' button until you see a menu appear.
If this fails to work, then the only option is remove the battery or press the reset button.
Known Issues
Many things are still not working properly, and the developers are fully aware of 99% of them.
SDCard - Most SDCards are working, but if you the 'waiting for SDCard' message, you should try one of these fixes (and please let us know if it works)
Fix 1: Format your card with this tool http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/
Fix 2: Edit your startup.txt file and add these entries to your cmdline:
set cmdline "lcd.density=240 msmts_calib=0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77 clock-7x00.a11=500 msmvkeyb_toggle=off pmem.extra=1 gsensor_axis=-2,-1,3
msmsdcc_1bit msmsdcc_fmax=14000000 msmsdcc_nopwrsave"
Fix 3: Tell your wife / girlfriend that you are about to make some modifications to her phone... change the ringtone and steal her old Class 2 SD Card to use with Android. She will never discover what you have done, and if she does, you'll be able to use Android to send texts to your former girlfriends ;-)
SDCard - A few users have claimed to have had trouble using their SD Cards after installing XDAndroid. Some of those have reformatted the SD Card, and it worked, some couldn't recover it. This is a minority of users, but be warned.
Camera - Not working
GPS - working
Battery Status - Highly problematic for most users (don't trust the capacity Android tells you, it's simply up and down a lot, and highly inaccurate)
WiFi - Working for most people, suspected to cause slight heat, definitely drains the battery faster than WinMo.
Audio - Speaker working for most people, microphone can have issues
Deep Sleep - Working for most people, but can have issues waking up (sometimes, it will not wake up)
GPRS - Working
3G - Working for most
PIN Code - Unknown
GSensor - Working (Screen only handles 0 and 270 degrees)
Bluetooth - Experimentally working (don't expect too much, but it's working for a number of users)
OpenGL ES - 'should' be working but only for Blackstone... more to follow soon
USB - Supported, but will NOT operate in mass storage mode. You can charge via USB and you can debug, but forget accessing your files by it.
Headphone Socket - Semi working (see FAQ for details on how to make it work)
Application Errors: It's very common to see 'Application (xxxxxx) is not responding: Force Close or Wait'. Click wait. I do not know the precise reason for this, but from what I can gather, it COULD be related to the slow speed of the SD Card causing the app response times to JUST be a little too slow for Android's liking, thus causing the message. This seems to happen more after bootup or wakeup when the device is busy doing stuff in the background.
Cannot choose ringtones: This is believed to be caused by the media scanner failing (due to discovering some filenames with none English characters). The best option of all is to use a CLEAN SD Card. But, if you insist on hosting other files on the same SD Card, you MUST make sure they have English character filenames.

Zip now available
Cab will be here in the next hour... but...
This is major move from Eclair to FroYo, and it's slightly slower than the Eclair release (so far).
This is normal though, since many of the Eclair release issues where ironed out, but with FroYo we take a small step backwards before we can progress again...
This release is VERY untested... I used it for 30 mins on a Blackstone only... no other devices tested yet
There is newer system version

Will be Sense UI included in this build?
Or where can I get Sense UI for Android?

looks like just an update from 2.1 to 2.2 - no bug-fixes or new working features, right?
downloading now to have a play
OMFG!! YES!!
android 2.2 has calendar sync to exchange (2007) natively!. this release has hammered yet another nail into WM coffin!
also it looks like my 2.1 install was broken - seems noticably faster and touchscreen seems to be working a bit more predicably.
sorry but where is the file.

No it does not have Sense. Why would you want it?
You can get virtually all the same widgets from other sources. Sense is a massive resource drain (esp on XDAndroid), and on non 3D supported hardware
If you want the flipclock, you can get it from multiple places, the wallpaper, the wallpaper, and similar widgets are all floating around too.

Bluetooth MAC is fixed to 50:C3:00:00:00:00
720p recording
WiFi MAC Address Workaround:
Must have Android Developer Kit installed
1. adb pull /system/etc/calibartion
2. open calibration file with wordpad. Not notepad.
3. change the line that says macaddr=00:11:22:33:44:55 to either your real mac or just increment the last digit

Remeber guys...this is just a base to get the T-Mobile US crowd up and running. I am working on a BlueTopia NAND and will post it shortly...but before I get knee deep into Topiaizing it I want to find a stable base.
The most important feedback I am looking for is related to data drops. I am doing something differnt in this build that I have not done in any of my others. It's not really anything top secret but don't want to let the cat out of the bag just yet cause some people may form a bias opinion.

Great! Will try this on.
Thanks!
Btw, how to root it??
Is the MMS going to work correctly (non-blurry pics) like usual for us US people CMYLXGO?
Instead...saying Oh Great, That is Fast, Please keep these comments to yourself, I think you can use the THANK YOU button to actually say thanks. Try it first, and then get back and write a Review. As to what is working, and what is not working....and As well you may kindly suggest to the Dev as to what you want...Plz lets keep this thing clean, so we don't waste time looking for information, or looking up for the answers.
Thanks

Hello and welcome to my new GingerSense build for the HD2. This is no ordinary build that anyone and everyone can use. It's tailor fitted to the 1024Leo T-Mobile US HD2 and has been heavily customized to support the T-Mobile US network. For a complete list of changes please see the change log in post #2.
The ROM is based on XxXPachaXxX's GBLeoR3 TMOUS build. Thank you very much XxXPachaXxX for your permission to use your ROM as a base!!
This ROM is based on the Desire HD Gingerbread build 2.50.402.2 and is Android 2.3.3. It sports Sense 2.1 and is one of the smoothest HD2 GingerSense builds available.
CREDITS - Credits are probably the most important thing you can possibly add to your post when releasing a ROM. That's why I firmly believe that it should be added to the first post and not trailing somewhere at the end. Without further adieu...
XxXPachaXxX for allowing me to use his ROM as a base for my release.
Cotulla for his great MAGLDR making all of this possible
HTC for making the device and the software used in this ROM.
HierOS for his kernel.
XDA for allowing me to post this ROM
Haldric for his glitches fix
TyTung for his GPS drivers
[email protected] for patching the build for CLK
hands9998 for his Power Menu Fix
Others who I'm forgetting(if I forgot you, PM me and I'll add you here)
CHANGE LOG:
V1.1 [October 21, 2011]Fixed:
Fixed Flash Player - Should work for real now.
Fixed Advanced Power Menu - Should work over and over now. Causes 2 small bugs - see NOTE 1 in known issues.
Weather issue seems to be fixed. Please confirm.
Facebook for HTC Sense seems to be fixed. Please confirm.
V1.0 - Initial Release [October 6, 2011]Added:
Added COMPLETE T-Mobile US customizations including MMS fix and network settings as well as localized for US English and all US measurements(feet, Fahrenheit, etc..)
Added T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app
Added T-Mobile My Account app
Updated DNS settings
Added AdFree app so you can make sure your device is always ad-free
Re-skinned the phone canvas to something more appealing(white gradient with gray separators)
Added a % battery indicator that looks so stock that you would think that it is exactly that. It has smooth charging animations as well as displays the current percentage between animations.
Replaced "H" icon in taskbar with a "4G" icon instead. (Yes I know we're not 4G on this device but it looks more natural since T-Mobile is a 4G network)
Changed the default email and sms notification bubbles that appear over icon to old style gradient green instead of black with green ring.
Updated all system apps to latest versions.
Added the Advanced Power Menu(still only works once per boot so only open it if you're sure you're going to use it)
Fixed it so that ALL HTC Wallpapers are displayed in both Grid view and Panel view.
Updated it to HierOS Kernel 1.8.3 and added my own custom Splash Screen.(custom initrd.gz) You can also find a matching 1st Splash in my thread.
Added my own custom Boot animation that matches the Splash Screen above.
Added all missing HTC Themes from HTC Hub.
Added all Missing HTC Widgets and also added Picasa album plugin and HTC Media Link from HTC Hub
Updated superuser to v3.0.2 and updated SU Binary to v3.0 (NO SUPERUSER ELITE!)
Included the graphics glitches fix by Haldric(disables hardware acceleration)
Added my own APN that works time and time again reliably.
Added Barcode Scanner
Added GPS Status
Using TyTung's latest GPS drivers
Fixed and updated the updater-script so it should now install seamlessly and also give you more information as to what it's doing.
Removed:
HTC Locations
WiFi Router(didn't work anyway)
Known Issues:
NOTE 1: Fixing the Advanced Power menu created 2 bugs. You can no longer wake the device from sleep using the power key. You can, however, use any of the other buttons. Also, you can no longer end a call using the power key. The on-screen End Call button still works fine. Will fix these issues when fixes become available.
Wifi Router does not work even if you re-add it. This is a known issue with Gingerbread Sense builds and there is no known fix at this time as far as I know.
You need to go into APN Settings and set my APN after first boot. By default it is set to "T-Mobile Data". You need to set it to "T-Mobile US".
If you add the account "Facebook for HTC Sense", you may need to disable the "Sync live feed" option. This issue seems to be intermittent - Only affects some people. Sorry guys I don't know how to fix this just yet.

Not sure if you guys noticed or not but I didn't exactly use a file-hosting site.
I hosted my files in my private DropBox account and routed them through my bit.ly account so I can track downloads.
I would prefer to host all my roms/updates myself for that reason but frankly it's not that important to me. I'd much rather share my work and let people enjoy it like I do then be a stickler about who hosts what.
@dharvey4651 I'm uploading it now. I'll PM you with the link so you can put it in your post for cLK users. I only put the PPP file in there seeing that all the other files were in there in the PPP folder in the etc folder in system. And I used dsixda's android kitchen to form the cLK boot.img Credits to him for a wonderful work with that kitchen.

------------------------------------- UPDATE 2 -------------------------------------
hey guys this seems to be harder than I thought, but till now I manged to create a solid code to base my work on
and I'm thinking of "HOX-BOX" as a name for my baby, what do you think?
Done since Update 1
- ADDED: dynamic shell (context) menu for faster flashing .. including the choice to enable/disable it
- ADDED: an advanced detection system, far better then the simple "devices" known command, this tool will be able to detect a 100% accurate state of the device including (adb/mtp - mass storage/camera p2p - fastboot - connected with no drivers - current drivers version - the path for the mass storage)
This toke me 2 days of hard work and it's based on the detection of system Drivers/Vendor ID status, so it can't go wrong
- ADDED: advanced model detection command before flashing to prevent wrong flashes
- IMPROVED: Interface and logging
- INCLUDED: HTC Drivers 32 and 64-bit adb/fastboot
- INCLUDED: USBDeview (helps with retrieving HTC's vendor IDs and Product IDs)
- IMPROVED: data size by removing unnecessary platform tools
Still Struggling with
- Live Stats
Normal stats are OK and ready but keeping the CPU stats alive is making the software unstable, I'm still working on this
- Drag n' Drop handlers
- Flashing a ROM through PC
haven't really gave it the time yet, i'll be looking into it as soon as I stabilize other current commands.
------------------------------------- UPDATE 1 -------------------------------------
The Tool Is now under construction
I Finished the following so far
- UI main Menu
- INCLUDED: platform-tools_r16.0.1-windows
- INCLUDED: 7z.exe and 7z.dll (to flash boot.img without user interference)
- One Click Flasher for kernels and recoveries is now ready (CWM, TWRP and BOOT)
- Logging system that creates user-friendly (humand readable) logs and Advanced Log that lists command and their returns
Now Working on
- Live stats about battery and processor
- a 100% PC based flash code you just plug in your HOX, select a ROM , and the tool will transfer it to the SD, flash it in recovery, erase cache and delvik, do selected wipes and flash the boot.img
this is a tricky process but I have all the info I need , and now I'm on it
------------------------------------- OP -------------------------------------
Hey Guys
Lately I've been thinking of Creating a Tool that works with PC to make common tasks easier
I have a good experience in programming/ui/animation/batches
The Tool is basically an AIO TOOLBOX for our One X (for now)
I have some Ideas , but I need some feedback before Starting
it will be User-Friendly.. Noob proof and really well themed
WHAT I HAVE IN MIND
• basic functions
- mode detection
- get device props (CID, Mainver, Current ROM, Free Space, Model and so)
• Includes
- fastboot environment
- latest drivers
- SU flashables
- recovery Images
• Commands
- help connecting your device by installing the drivers automatically, detect the current mode (and enable/disable options based on the mode)
- help with the bootloader unlock
- flash boot.img (even if not extracted) you can just select the ROM zip and the tool will extract the boot and flash it automatically
- flash recoveries
- push (transfer) files using adb (even if stuck in recovery) without writing any code (WYSIWYG), just choose files and click push
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
(Done!) 1. should I do this? .... does it worth the time, or there is similar tools
2. if you think I should do it, should it have more features (than the mentioned above) , and please name them with details if possible
3. suggest a name for the tool
I have the ability to integrate any fastboot/adb command you can think of into the UI, with a nice animated design
but I can't do miracles such as unlocking the phone without the help of (HTCdev) or S-OFF your device, so please don't request such things
Re: I need your thoughts - The Ultimate HOX ToolBox
1. Definitely you should do it! (although there is toolkit which can unlock bootloader and flash a recovery already) More advanced features would be welcome!
2. A few things:
Maybe fetch a RUU automatically based on main version from
BugsyLawson's server
or
ruu.androidfiles.org and automatically install it.
A tool that fetches a firmware zip based on cid and flashes it.
Adb shell
Boot repacker

if I get enough help from them , I Would deferentially do it.
but at the very least I will include a guide that will tell you the exact name of the RUU/Firmware that needs to be downloaded (maybe even search for it)

Re: I need your thoughts - The Ultimate HOX ToolBox
Like the idea of a nice clean tool.
I haven't felt the need to root or flash yet, but as there is no s-off yet the process seems slightly more involved than it was for my old Desire, so it is a bit off putting. If there are tools that can help - will use them.
I know that sounds noobish - and it is

Re: I need your thoughts - The Ultimate HOX ToolBox
Great idea, I initially used a toolkit when first flashing mine but it's nice to know what your actually doing to your phone and I have since learnt all the commands. So my request is to somehow show the user what your automating so they understand what's going on with their phone. Maybe like a log/command type window that can be shown or hidden for those that want to see what's happening.
Cheers

I am still using Legendary HTC HD2 in 2022. It was too hard to find all tools, utilites, ROMs, Recoveries etc... because of dead links, closed forums (Tytungs for example) etc... Also most of tools didnt work on Windows 10 and it was hard to run them on VM due USB/driver linking issues beetween main OS and VM. Finally I found solutions for all these problems and want to share these solutions with community.
I made 5 exe files to run Android 2.3.7 on Nand with Magldr and CWM recovery on HTC HD2.
- 1st; run "hd2driverinstaller.exe" both your Windows10/11 PC and VM Windows XP
- 2nd; run "HSPL.exe" on VM Windows XP to bypass SPL security mechanism
- 3rd; run "task29.exe" on VM Windows XP to erase NAND
- 4th; run "magldrinstaller.exe" on VM Windows XP to install aMagldr 1.13.08
- 5th; run "magldrwizard" on VM Windows XP to install Android and CWM on NAND
All tools except HSPL.exe modified or rewrited by me. Android ROM is based on Tytung's latest Gingerbread 2.3.7 - 3.3a. But heavily modified for remove not working apps etc. It has only 111 MB system partition size. If anyone wants its aroma flashable zip, I can upload it too.

The fact is I eventually found back my HD2s (one working great on Win Mobile, another one not working but used to work under Android and 2 others dead I bought years ago for parts and batteries) two days ago so I will try and report
I was thinking of doing that but found no time to do so. So thanks in advance !
It will be fun to try to use the legendary HD2 in 2022
BTW what is the size of the SD card you use ?

I believe I've done that. I can get activesync to connect up and sync.
Have tried putting the HD2 into bootloader and waiting for serial to become usb...
V1 of hspl says it's working and not to disconnect (then just sits doing nothing) but all other versions time out.
I'm wondering if these HD2s I have may have already been unlocked...
Finally got it working on one HD2, thanks.
Other seems bricked.

No, it is Magldr's DAF flasher.
I updated Tytung's lastest AOSP Gingerbread (2.3.7) rom to v1.02 today. You can download it's "5-magldrwizard.exe" file from https://disk.yandex.com.tr/d/gySgVqkHx91loQ

...
Thank you, works well.
I'm looking for a ROM that connects to Wi-Fi and I can install and run Tasker on. Unfortunately, 2.3.7 won't log in to Google or run Google Play...
I've found some ICS ROMs that should enable logging into Google, but Wi-Fi won't connect.
Is there a reason you stick with 2.3.7?

I haven't been able to, at least not via Google Play Store (as I cannot install it nor log into my Google account on this ROM, nor via extracting the apk from my Android 12.1 phone and install on the HD2 due to the Android version being lower.
Tasker does allow you to download and buy a separate version for Gingerbread, but I may as well give up on the HD2 and buy another phone that will work with Google Play.
Am I missing a way to get it on and working?
u can find gingerbread compatible tasker's apk from internet, sir
I know, but I am not going to use an unofficial version of Tasker (would you trust something so powerful with your data from an unofficial source), and I am not going to buy a second version of Tasker given I have already bought it.
So I either find a later version of Android that connects to wifi, or give up completely and go with another phone.
Hey everyone. I would like to participate in this kind of topic, so I have compiled LineageOS 11 (basically CM11 with security updates up to February 2019) with 3.0 kernel for our device. But the zip file looks pretty raw compared to tytung's CM11 one. It needs some adaptation to the device, especially in part of bootloaders compatibility and ability to install using Data-on-EXT and NativeSD methods. And also the ROM needs to be tested after all these changes. I'll try to merge AROMA installer from tytung's ROM, but if you can help me in some way, it will be really appreciated, because there's no clean CM11 after all on our device. I'm going to upload the zip later to AFH and the edited device tree alongside with forked but unchanged kernel to my GitHub profile.
I'm pretty new to this topic, here's my thread
