I have a co-worker with an e4gt flashed to boost network and he is currently on android 2.3.4 el29. I just showed off my note running ics and he is interested in getting ics on his device. My question is, will he run into any issues, as for as the device being flashed to a different network, in flashing ics stock rooted rom using pc odin?
Edit: Sorry, posted in the wrong section. Could mod move this to q&a please. Thank you!
wont have any effect on flashing a new rom.
And what about this emmc bug from using CWM?

I was wondering if I could flash starburst Rom and then flash the stock kernel w/clockwork instead of the Lostkernel (yes there is someone on the forums with recompiled stock kernel with clockwork), is starburst compatible with stock kernel? I am a little new to this, I have rooted EVO 4g and a Nexus s 4g but some of the issues with the Epic touch have kept me from trying out different roms and kernels. Thank you and sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, I could not find the answer.
Lol yes.......

Sorry if I'm posting in wrong section.
Today I successfully installed Leaked OTA ICS update IMM26 on my NS4G. It's great but to my disappointment Flash based apps are not working properly. Some Flash based apps are working fine (e.g. Veetle) but many others, especially browsers, are not handling it well at all. The reason perhaps is that many apps haven't yet been optimized for ICS. I'm addicted to all these apps.
Please tell me if there is a way to downgrade to Stock Gingerbread.
NOTE: I have unlocked bootloader but unsuccessful in getting root because SU works up to 4.0.3 only.
Thanks everyone.

This belongs in questions and answers.
But there's a one click (not really one) restore to stock in this forum. I believe its using Odin.
Just look thru the threads and you'll find the instructions.

not sure why you thought this was development...
But yes you can... Just wipe (everything) then install a gb rom. That is if you just did a cwm install of ics.

Hey guys.
I want to go back to a stock rom, but would like it to be rooted for me. Does anyone know where there's a stock rooted rom?
Tried searching but it gave me returns for all other phones.
I would go back to the stock ROM and then root it myself. There are some slightly modified roms on the Android development section as well.

How do I go back to stock then? I think there is a option in that tool thing you download isn't there? I can't remember.
What about this?

I already did a search on this question and wasnt really sure if it was only for the MIUI rom or if it was okay to flash any rom and it would still work. I want to flash the AOKP JB rom for the AT&T galaxy 3 to my Tmobile galaxy 3, is it possible to flash this rom and have everything working to? Thanks in advance
I can't answer your question, but I have one of my own. What's wrong with the TMo AOKP builds?
Nothing. I'm actually using their latest one right now but I wanted to see what the difference is. Sorry, I don't know much about rooting, I just know how to do it. And I like to try out and use different things
I am running task and ktoonez aokp from att on my t mobile s3 right now. It's been running good so far. No problems. Everything working fine. Using the ktoonez kernel too that is in the post.

You can flash them fine but there shouldnt be any difference between them
I recently got a new Galaxy S2 Epic 4G touch from Virgin Mobile (Build D710.GB28), and it comes with stock android 4.1.2. And since I had been using 4.2.2 in my nexus device I dont really like the 4.1.2 look. So now I want to flash 4.2.2 in my S2. But the problem is I couldn't find any post specific to my build. There r other instructions but those are for previous build and most of those instructions seems to have centered around ICS as their stock android. So is there any post that has instructions specific to my build. Has any one flash 4.2.2 on 4.1.2 in a Virgin mobile S2. Or should I just double flash, 1st ICS and then 4.2.2.
Please Help!!!!!
Thank You
Our phone comes with android 4.1.2 not 4.2. Go to original development and try out cyanagenomod 4.2.2. Make sure your rooted, have a recovery installed and then flash rom, gapps, and a ICS modem. (Get f15 zip file for modem)

Flash the ICS modem. It will work on stock JB as well. Then flash your rom of choice.
I use CM10.1 on a Virgin Mobile S2 as well.
