Hey guys, just got my HTC One X today and noticed that in the storage settings, i have 25.24GB Total space, but only 24.24GB available.
Is this a problem, or am i worrying about nothing? There is nothing installed on the phone apart from updated apps, i have used the 'make more space' tool but i am still missing 1gb.
Any help is appreciated!

Hello everyone,
I been using my One X for exactly 1 week, coming over after 2 solid years with a modded Desire.
So far, I cant seem to solve this 1 problem which never plagued my Desire (with its lowly 570mb ram).
Problem:
When I run a game (tried on Princess Punt, Angry Birds space) and i look away for a minute, screen turns off as its normal.
Now on my old desire, when I unlocked phone I got right back into the game. With One X, I am sent to desktop after a brief black screen. I select the game from recent apps, and it starts from title screen? What is going on?
I think same happens to internet aswell but it loads the page up again and most cases where i was reading, so no big deal.
Anyone knows how do I fix this?
Background info:
International One X running official 1.29.4x1.xx
Bootloader unlocked and rooted
Stock rom, no modifications
almost no extra running apps/services. usually 280-400mb free ram.
Search threads about the one X multitasking. The apps are killed more aggressively as needed...
I believe there is a fix for this if you have root

Hi all,
I was wondering whether there is a setting on the HOX that allows you to stamp your photos with the date and time. I used to have this setting on my htc desire but can't seem to find out on my HOX.
Thanks.

Hi, did you know that it stamps a ton of "Exif" information onto the file. It allows you to see some of this information in the gallery, or in file properties in Windows. Also, if you use the import photos option in Windows (if connected via USB) you can even automatically rename the files by taken date. I know that's not what you were asking for but perhaps a substitute?

Thanks, yes I knew that.
The reason for asking about the time stamps is that I was browsing through some of my old pictures taken with my htc desire and they all had time stamps on them - you see the picture and then look at the time stamp, sometimes you don't even realize how long ago the picture was taken until you see the time stamp.

Just used camera 360, not very impressed. I'll stick with stock for now. Thanks anyway

is there an app with which I can add date/time stamps on videos?
You can use Auto Stamper app for adding date and time on the photo. This app allows you to add text to photo while capturing it from smartphone default camera.
Additionally, there is also feature to make stamp more attractive and amazing with various style, size, color, and positions.
Hi ,
Recently updated to JB 4.1.1 from ICS and have found that there is no longer the USB setting select as hard disk so my smart TV will not detect it as an external hard drive anymore.
This mass storage feature was one of the main reasons I went to android and the jerks have taken the option away.
Is there any work around?
any way to get my TV to detect the phone?
or any way to revert back to ICS without rooting?
This is driving me insane.
Spoke to HTC today and they just told me to reset and it should be plug and play. RUBBISH!!!!
Why remove functionality. If I wanted to stay with the similar setup to Iphone , I would have stck with Iphone.
If it needs to be rooted , How? I am very new to this.
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm fairly sure that the JB 4.1 Sense ROM should still have mass USB storage capabilities, but I cannot say for certain since I haven't used it all that much. I just think it is a bit odd that they have deliberately taken it away like you mentioned.
However, I was using CM10 which is a custom ROM based on 4.1 JB and I was able to use USB mass storage with no issues. So assuming your phone isn't some hardware fault, it shouldn't be too hard to get back mass storage by rooting your phone and flashing a suitable custom ROM.
Odp: [Q] HTC ONE X revert Back from horrible JB 4.1.1 NOT ROOTED
No, 4.1 hasn't mass drive functionalities. Only this creepy MTP. It's a 'feature' of Google system in version 4, HTC had nothing done here.

You should probably start your own thread for your own issue.
@OP: Yeah it turns out that Sense doesn't have mass storage. If you do want it, you can always root your phone and flash a custom ROM.
Root your phone, flash clockwork mod recovery and use the mass storage option functionality in recovery. That's the temporary work around for me.. I feel you man.

ViperX rom is custom jb sense rom that can mount usb mass storage. But that would require you to break the warranty by unlocking the bootloader.
Other than that there is no way to downgrade without s-off.

Andylejizm and Vcek. Thanks for the reply, I am new to this. How do I do this?

Following this 'How-to' post step by step would be a good start. It should have most of the info you need with regards to unlocking, rooting and installing custom ROM's:

MTP connection was introduces with JB. Therefore no mass storage anymore in HOX. But in SGS3 there is an option to select connection type. I don't understand why HTC dint give that option for users as most devices support USB mass storage does not support MTP
In all custom recoveries there is an option called "mount usb storage",
Use it.

Also it keeps coming up with Authorise HTC Sense - to authorisr faceboon and when I click it, it says turn on background sync but doesnt do anything as far as I know everything is logged in and ready but not sure.
Hope one if you guys can help
