As title says. How do I turn off emoticons from automatically showing when i type e.g. "" when sending a text. I think there was an option on the HTC desire? Cant find it on the HOX.

Has anyone else noticed a problem with the Send Text commandy on their Evo? I try it and no matter how I say it, the receipient never shows up, instead their name is the first line of text to the messege.
Hi
I like my HTC one x but have one problem.
Some emails say "cannot display this message" with no reason ...it's odd, they don't have attachments & come from people I know /I've checked them on my pc
Thanks for help
I like the look and feel of the standard SMS app, HTC Messages (I have tried all the others), but I have a problem with one aspect to it and I was wondering if anyone had a solution.
I like to receive a "message received" confirmation and so select in the setting to get one, but I also like to get a "popup" on the lockscreen of the message details - but if you select "display message on lockscreen", you also get a standard notification for message received. With all the other SMS apps you just get a tick within the message bubble (which you get as well with HTC Messages).
Is there anyway to still get a "message received" confirmation (as a tick within the message bubble), but no standard Android notification AND have a popup on the lockscreen?
Cheers

Go to Text Messaging settings and change input mode to automatic or unicode.
