I talk into the microphone normal, but I've had reports by people that during a phone call they can't hear me unless I scream.
The exact same thing happens when I use the Google voice-to-text thing on MSGs. I literally have to scream for it to pick up my voice.
I'm on Sprint, and I doubt it's a carrier problem because my iPhone never did this. Any ideas?
Hello? Does anyone have any suggestions?

ihave a sprint touchpro 2 and seem to have a problem that i have not come across with anybidy else yet. Whenever I am on the phone, whether its talking to another cell phone on any network, or a landline phone, the person i am talking to hears an echo of their own voice. its like the speaker is too loud and is picking up theother persons voice through the microphone. if i mute my end, the echo does stop, but then they cannot hear me talk. And it does not matter if i use speakerphone or not, it happens either way, Has this happened to anybody else,is this a software or hardware problem? thanks in advance

While on the phone with someone, if someone else calls, the current call goes completely mute.my girlfriend can't hear them and they can't hear her. Is there anyway I can fix this?
I have a Nexus One and I don't experience this issue.
This happened to me today! Ended up having to hang up on them and callin um back. Wonder what were doing wrong?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but this sounds like normal call waiting behavior to me. If you want the current and incoming call to be able to hear each other you need to conference the calls, not use call waiting...
I'm having the same problem on my TP2.
What happens is this... You are on a call with 1 person... Another person calls, call waiting shows that another person is calling, BUT the problem is that my phone gets muted. You CAN hear the person you are on the line with, but they CAN NOT hear you, and turning your mute on and off does not help. Also, even if u take the other call... That person also can not hear you.
This is a big problem because you must end the call and call back the person u were on the line with... also, if the other person keeps calling... it turns into a real mess...
Any ideas?
I'm having a problem with 3-way calling which renders it virtually useless. When you are on a call and then add a third party to the call it is very difficult for the original two callers to hear the third. Unless the third party speaks very loudly their voice will be "squelched" out. In other words it completely cuts out until they raise their voice and keep it at a high level through out the entire call. Its like the phone considers the voice to be background noise and silences it completely.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Stock, unrooted 4.0.2 gsm
Guess we're screwed. Nobody else seems to be reporting it or even care. I'm really amazed that it isn't a bigger issue. It certainly a big issue to me.

I rolled back to Stock and same issue. I'm going to file a bug report.
Great. I would greatly appreciate hearing about any progress if you don't mind.
We both have samsung galaxy s4 with t mobile, latest update. When Calling the other person, you can hear the receiving phone speaker. I'll hear their ringtone if they're volume is up. I'll hear whatever noise is in the room with their cell phone when calling. Even their voice. I've tested and it happens both ways. it's been going on for 6 months now. Just weird to have it happen to two phones. I've already done a factory reset. Any ideas?
So what's wrong, that's how phones work, you hear them and they hear you. ???
Pp.
that was dumb. why would I say I tested it. More detail for anyone else who thinks like pancho: it's like the mic is activated without answering the phone. Imagine calling someone and they don't answer, but you can hear everything the mic picks up. you'll hear their custom ringtone or whatever sound is near their phone mic.
This is how the question should have gone. :
When I place a call, before the person answers the phone I can hear the phones ringer tone and all ambient sounds near and around the phone or person I'm calling before they answer, what could cause this?
Humm, ............... your phone is possessed. You need an exorcist.
Edit : This may also occur if the person your calling is sitting next to you.
Pp.
Is anyone else experiencing a delay when both placing calls, but even more noticeably, and more annoyingly, when answering calls, in speakerphone availability? What I mean is a call will come in, I will answer it, but the speakerphone button will remain grayed out for a few seconds, so I can not activate the speakerphone to say "hello." If my intention is to take the call on speakerphone, I must either say "hello" before I can activate the speakerphone, and risk the other person beginning to speak before I will be able to hear them if I have not put the phone to my ear, or I must delay saying "hello", which causes the person calling to hear the line open up, but wonder why I am not speaking.
I really can't imagine that I am the only one experiencing this and finding it incredibly annoying.
I actually contacted HTC, but have not heard anything back.
Can anyone else confirm this behavior?
I am using an unrooted Verizon HTC 10, but I doubt the carrier matters.
Thanks.
I see this thread had had, as of the time I'm posting this follow-up, 64 views, but not a single response.
If no one else is experiencing this, could some of you at least post to say that? If you can answer an incoming call, and instantly press the speakerphone button and say "hello" on speakerphone, with no delay, then I'd be interested in hearing that, particularly if you are using a stock Verizon HTC 10. Because that would seem to indicate there is an issue with my phone, or the software on my phone, since I can't do that.
I'm still operating under the theory, though, that the issue lies with the software, and that I am not alone.
Thanks.
Did I omit the secret handshake or something?
Seriously...is there a reason no one is responding, one way or the other?
