Hello all, I know traditionally i only review samsung devices as a samsung mobiler i've decided to branch out a bit and share the love. So here's my review on the One x. Let me know what you think, i'm always taking your comments on board and trying to make my content better.
Out of interest it was filmed on a canon Eos 1100D rather than my galaxy s2 for a change. Hopefully you can tell the difference
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8JwiCQlxhg&feature=youtu.be
and a video of the two flavours of ICS on the galaxy nexus and the one X
http://youtu.be/V4Gidj5dEic
I also took some photos from different angles of the one x...find them at my blog here:

Here's a quick comparison of the screen on the Galaxy Nexus vs HTC one x. Which do you prefer?

Nice review Stacey!
I thought Mobilers always had access to the Samsung devices prior to general public. I clearly remember Dom and you had the SGS2 long (weeks/days) before the general public. Both of you guys had a popular thread before release of the SGS2 during last April/May.
Hey, PM me a photo of the SGS3 and the specs list...Trust me, I won't tell anyone!
Good reviews there and i love your english. Hope i will talk like that someday.
One thing to the Multitask. The thing you reviewed on the One X as Taskmanager ist the taskmanager. Its just a graphic gimmik to show main threads and easily jump from one to another. Search on the device applist for Taskmanager and then you see your real tasks and up to 9 tasks at once.
I realy love my One X but i think all Sense gimmiks are just made to look good. Usability is just on 2nd rank. For much Sense widgets i use alternatives.
nice review
thank you

Ahhyes ! I found it. Please I'll add a note to the description of the video. Thanks for pointing it out
A good video, just one word of advice:
When you want to show something on the screen, dont move the phone closer to the camera, it makes the image blurry.
Best is to just keep it the way it is, so that the image stays sharp and then once you're editing the video zoom in digitally!
That'll make the screen more readable
Thanka for the feed back, seriously guys this all helps me for when I make my next . My next purchase is a proper tripod for my camera lol
also added a quick comparison of super amoled vs super ips LCD2...see 1st post for url
Hey Everyone,
Recently I've been wishing for a side-by-side multitasking app that would allow you to view two (or more) applications side by side (or with one above the other), similar to the 'Snap' feature in Windows 7. Whilst investigating this, I came across a piece of software called 'Cornerstone' by Onskreen. To be honest, I know little about software development, but does anyone know if this/something similar could potentially become available from the Google Play store? I think it's been included in Cyanogenmod but no other ROMs as far as I'm aware...
Thanks
There is a web browser named OverSkreen that is floating. I use it when I want to make notes from an online resource -- have word processor open behind the OverSkreen window, with OverSkreen using top or bottom half of screen and word processor the other half.
The 10.1 note will launch with side by side multitasking, I played with one recently, it works pretty well.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I wrote hovernote, a floating notepad app for $0.99: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mjlim.hovernote
There are some other apps that exist for different niches, like overskreen (browser), aircalc (calculator), and airterm (terminal emulator) but I'm finding for some reason that the play store won't let me install them on the nexus 7.
Onskreen by Cornerstone and overskreen and other "floating" apps aren't the same thing.
Onskreen has to be built into a ROM as it modifies framework heavily to give your system true windowed apps.
Really a great concept, open source and possibly being added to Cyanogenmod in the future.
For those that have no clue what this really is, check this:
http://www.onskreen.com/cornerstone/
Cornerstone is probably not going to be added to cm9 in the future. See the comment by Dianne Hackborn here for rationale against: https://plus.google.com/100275307499530023476/posts/ViCME1bb8F6
I thought I saw somewhere a comment specifically saying cornerstone wasn't going to be included in cm9, but I can't find it.

From what I've read, Cornerstone on CM9 is too 'clunky', but Cyanogen was keen to implement something similar...
There is some cornerstone work going on, it's too early in development for me to promise they will keep working in it but I know some people that have started working with it to bring to the N7 if possible.
I found a need floating calculator app the other day that will sit anywhere on the screen and can be moved around and stuff. I'll have to go back and look to find the name of it.

I think you are talking about darkcalc. It's pretty handy, for me anyway.

Yeah I've had a look through various floating apps for different tasks, such as note taking and calculating, but it'd be nice if I was able to use the apps I have already and not be limited to just floating apps. I was really hoping that something like Cornerstone would be widely available so that I could have a game open in the main section and perhaps a website or two open in other, smaller, panels.

AirCalc...works great.
We have Cornerstone nightlies on the Xoom (teameos, ICS builds, iirc).
I used them, but there were eventually too many conflicts with my third party launcher. Great idea, though.
I've used a rom a few months ago on my touchpad that someone added the cornerstone functionality too. It was actually awesome and cm at the time was playing around with it too and was gonna incorporate it I thought for cm10,but haven't heard anything in awhile. It really makes a true multi tasking environment.

You can see the video samsung released today for the device.
Basically you pick an app to fit the left side of the screen and one for the right
Video is here - http://news.yahoo.com/samsung-unveils-galaxy-note-10-1-tablet-again-115057005.html

I would love the Nexus 7 to do this,
Supposedly only a few apps work side by side. I don't think any app will do it. Probably Samsung apps only... at least what the hands on review said. Maybe more apps loaded later.
Its also releasing with ICS with no date of JB. With Samsungs track record it could be a while. LG pulled this stunt with the G2x and it was months. Samsung don't update their devices very fast. They rather throw out a new device first.

Is this just a "something might be coming eventually" type post? Similar to how Samsung announces and even demos products, but never actually makes them available for purchase?
By the way, posting the same thing multipe times (as you've posted the above in at least 3 threads now) is against the rules. So is advertising a product....

Tell you what: If you stop breaking the XDA rules (posting this all over the place AND advertising in the wrong places) I'd consider ordering a couple of these.
Moderator: Can the XDA marketplace be used in this case?
Edit: Actually, after reviewing your posting history, perhaps it'd be better to NOT order something from you. Considering that you seem to think that a palm touchstone charger works with the verizion door (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30542742&postcount=40), I'd be concerned that something you're selling wouldn't work at all.
Take care

As of right now you seem shady...
things like "PM me for further info" and "PM me as price already shown and in stock in USA". Then you have one questionable picture and the generic sgs3 picture with the charging msg on it. no real pictures?
but yet the only person we can buy this from is you? so you want our money.. so give us more information. DId you in fact make this thing? how does it work? show more pictures, etc etc.
and if you didn't make it, then post a URL with information.

XDA is not for personal selling. Don't make it ebay. I have seen you in a couple of threads posting this nonsense. What's the reason for giving us a review for a product that only you are selling.
Let's say we are happy with your product, but do you really think that anyone would send you money to buy it personally.
People like you-
Wow XDA FORUM, let's advertise our product and rip off some idiots. BUT WHO IS THE REAL IDIOT?
I leave the question unanswered and let's see who answers.
Correct answer gets a wireless receiver.

Hi, I am a newbie and want to know which is the best app for taking notes on Note 2. I dont want to buy a tablet because of portability issue.
I wud also like to know a few more things:
1 ) Since i write very fast and use small cursive letters which app will be more compatible with my handwriting? I would like to the app to provide natural feel of writing as one gets using pen and paper. Will my handwriting look exactly like original?
2) Are there any apps which can merge small note files into a single note file?
3) Which app is best/fastest for converting note files into pdf and then transferring it to my pc?
4) Since I might have to take lengthy notes over many pages using my own handwriting, which app will serve the purpose best?
5) which app is best for handwriting to text conversion without any lag?
Please reply at the earliest. You need not reply to all the questions, even a small part would do.
Thanks in advance.
Please help me out. So many views but no replies. You can even answer just one part of the question, need not answer everything. I am a newbie, new to both android and S pen technology and want a device which is excellent at note taking as well as easy to carry around.
Please help. Looking forward to your replies. Tell me anything you can. Thanks.

well i suggested you as per your need papyrus has this feature go through the features of the app i suggested or rather use it and find out what suits you better i have known people around who would not like to carry any extra notebook to jot down the lectures and stuff and even students around doing their CA etc having the habit of directly noting it on the phn and sharing it with friends .
so a try is worth and then choose which suits u better as both are best in individual aspect of features they provide.

Hi all...I was thinking about getting this tablet. Ive done some digging, but maybe am not finding what I need.
I would prefer a case with a keyboard and touchpad. Preferably a full size keyboard. Any suggestions?
Also. I am new to the whole pen thing. I do plan on using it for notes at work. Are there any good "normal weighted" pens out yet that work well?
Thanks for your help. I'm sure the info is out there, but Im hoping some of you have already done the research and like a product.
