"Go Locker" works great and it also has the ICS and 3D themes, unless you just want a custom one.
Does Go Locker work well with the Underworld kernel?
Exist other flashable apps. try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465298
For other way, its very dificult, but the original lockscreen of 3.0 or 3.5 sense only works on Full interface 3.0 or 3.5 sense, it doesnt work (lockscreen) on 2.x Sense
The MikG Rooms had the lockscreen 3.x; RCMix3D room and Energy Room already this lockscreen, and sense 3.X full menus
And other way its try the lockscreen "copy" from golauncher
And finnaly, Agile Lock
its a "more than-more less" alternative to lockscreen 3.0, for all the phones (android Market)
problem sorry kind of a noob

You flashed the version of the rom that changes your splash screen. You need to flash the default stock splash screen thru hboot which is in the OP of this rom. Make sure it's named PC36IMG. When ask to update say yes. You well be back to stock.

Well, I've tried flashing roms, but I don't really like any, I would prefer to keep the stock rom for now if possible.

You should give a try to LeeDroid ROM if you want Sense. It's like stock but with some extra features and it still based on stock rom.
So I flashed the latest LeeDroid ROM and it wouldn't boot. It just continually went through the RAM check and never fully booted so I flashed my backup that I made and now I can't call or text. When I try to make a call, it says my phone isn't registered on the network. Did the LeeDroid ROM mess up my radio or what?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Most likely you messed up your backup and lost your APN if you are GSM. not sure with CDMA since I don't have one our really know much about the ready it it's set up.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
I don't believe LeeDroid or any other rom messes with your radio unless you install radio rom separately.
If you didn't install a newest radio rom which Lee provides in his site then it might not be bad idea since i believe it's from the latest OTA update. Anyway i strongly suggest that you look for answers in respective ROM's thread, most of the issues are covered there.
I've been trying to change my Samsung Galaxy S Boot Animation but it seems to be quite the challenge!
I currently use Darky's custom rom (latest 9.1 version based on Android 2.2.1) with Voodoo kernel (the one suggested by Darky himself..thought i don't know why).
I've been googling A LOT and all i could find was bootanimation.zip files and various methods to install them (mainly manual copy with root explorer or cwm) but none of them work and i always get the standard boot animation.
Tried to copy bootanimation.zip both in system\media and in data\local but i still get the same result.
Even these don't work!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=869347
The only thing i can do that has some sort of effect is to rename bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg.
By doing this a get a black screen instead of the boot animation, so i can assume my phone/kernel/whateverthereasonis only looks for boot animation within these files.
Am i missing something?Has someone had the same issue?
Thanks!
i faced the same problem i used the darky rom configurator and flashed back to 8.1 for the cool animation but since 9.2 runs heaps better with the fixed root and stuff i had to stick with it despite the now old and lame nexus boot screen
most of the other posts deal with HTC and other phones
i look forrward to the day i can change my boot animation to the droid pissing on an apple
Droid pissing on an apple THATs fer me. Where can i get it???

This is so sad!I can't move on from the stock galaxy s anim..which is not that bad if you ask me, but i want one of my own!
Even using Darky's and changing the boot animation in the Rom Configurator i still get the same stock SGS anim!
Well..al least i can get rid of that annoying startup sound with something else!
lol check out the droid peeing boot screen

Thanks for the advice!
But why do you say "dump that rom" like Doc's rom is much much better than Darky's?
I'm a new Android user so when i decided to go for a custom rom i did some googling and i found Darky's to be one of the most appreciated.
HOW TO install custom boot animation
Use Root Explorer to place the bootanimation.zip in the /system/media folder. Change permissions to match the other files in the folder.

I have CM10 in my device (one of the latest nightlys), my boot scree used to show i9000T, the T used disappear after some milliseconds, now it shows me pure gibberish instead of the bootscreen...
Is there a way to get the old Samsung bootscreen?
From Boot animation onwards, everything runs pretty well.
Just like this

Do you have same screen if you try to go into recovery mode (volume up +home+power)?
It looks like if you upgraded your device to gingerbread without flashing ginger bootloaders although they should be in any ginger stock rom.. or maybe you flashed directly cm10 on top of a froyo rom?

Same screen in recovery.
I think it was from ecclair ... so it is better if I downgrade to eclair/froyo, update to gingerbread, and flash cm10 backup again? or the backup would restore the old bootloader?
Or should a gingerbread odin flash would suffice? Now that I remember, I tried to flash a Gingerbread direclty, but didn't find a reliable source for the rom, flashed one european rom, no phone network at all, flashed CF-Root-XW_XEE_JS7-v1.3-BusyBox-1.17.1.
Tried this ROM but failed to finish every single time GT_I9000_XWJS7_XXJPY_XEEJS1
Flash a ginger firmware will do it but..your device is i9000T then?
You know if it's safe to flash i9000 firmware on i9000T (except for 3 maybe)?
You could flash bootloaders alone too, there's Odin package but I don't want to lead you to something bad..from what I read it seems ok but I would prefer YOU to be sure or someone else confirming
The rom you already tried (XWJS7) was froyo actually so won't help here anyway.

Didn't noticed the rom was froyo...
The device showed a i9000T, but in a matter of milliseconds, used to change to i9000 alone.
Behind the back cover and battery, it says i9000T, from what I know, is the same, and never found another source of roms different for i9000T. but I don't really know where to find another rom, every single rom I've tried had it's link broken or some other problem...

Flashed the previuous froyo (which I though was a GB), flashed CFroot, flashed CWM, launched CM10 installer zip (so it would load CWM6), restored my image...
Actually, it happened before, that's why I installed CM10 directly last time...
So I gave up, restoring froyo gives me the Boot screen just fine, but that specific Rom gets stuck at modem.bin, and I receive no signal...
I was able to change it just by replacing the file it already had.
Hello,
I've been an inactive member for a while and don't have the 10 posts required to post in the android development forum yet.
I have Rooted my phone and got the clockwork recovery working, however, they are many ROMs i cant seem to install. After flashing the zip file and rebooting they either sit on the HTC white screen or keep rebooting on the HTC white screen. Why could this be? A few ROMs work but most don't seem to, in particular the ones that dont work are...
1. .SENSE Beta Universal v1.3
2. EQDKP v4.7 multi deodexed
3. HC MIUI3
4. M1ndh4x8r ROM Sense 2.1 GB2.3.5_2_1_2012
5. TurboFire Beta 9
I am mainly looking for a ROM that is Super Fast, has some form of App2SD, prolonged Battery Life, and is them-able using the Theme Chooser found in Cyanogen 7 ( Mainly function over beauty, though cant handle down right ugly)
Thanks,
Before you install the zip you wipe data/factory reset and also wipe the dalvik cache. See if this rids you of issues.
Yeah i do this every time, still no luck though :/
its because of the overclock speeds not everyones phone can handle 806 i found that out for myself i left the cpu at 806 and a few times ended up in a bootloop then i raced in once it eventually started then changed it to stock 600 and it ran fine so it was the overclock in my phone anyone elses i dont know

I use the aokp boot anim on pretty much whatever rom I'm on but what you could do is find a rom or theme with a bootanim you like and extract it go into /system/media and add .xxx to bootanimation.zip(.xxx) and put the one you like in(make sure its 480x800) and it should load that one instead of cm9. And if it doesn't work delete the one you put in and take the .xxx out of the old bootanimation.zip to go back to old cm9.
Hopefully that helps
Here you go this is the stock ICS bootanimation Stock ICS Bootanimation
Download this and place it in /system/media reboot and enjoy. or if you want a permanently place it in /data/local
Somewhere on the Cm9 blog is a flashable of the stock ICS boot animation that installs to data. This way you don't have to re-install it each time you update Cm9.

Is there a patch to just get there to stop, and if not if I just applied the S-On patch and downloaded the firmware upgrade would that be all I need to do (just flash the S-On not the entire PB31?)

Arr you still rooted? What is your goal, to be stock rooted or unrooted, s-on or off? What hboot and android version are you currently on?
Yea I'm still rooted, I re-rooted after flashing the stock PB31 so that I could remove the bloatware. I want to keep some form of Stock Rom so that I can keep all my Facebook contacts in my contacts because you can't do that with any other ROMs that I've used. My goal is to have my phone whatever it needs to be to quit returning to that white screen every couple of minutes. Android Version is 2.2 (If I unroot and S-On I'll just go to the latest OTA which at the moment I have blocked from popping up) and the HBoot version is 0.92.0000. Also a lot of my apps keep force closing, I've ran Fix Permissions so I figure returning to Stock somehow will fix that. My CM kept force closing everything and started running super slow which is what forced me to go back stock.

I would not go s-on for any reason. It will be much harder to get s-off again once your on the newest android version. You actually have to downgrade to 2.2 froyo to get s-off again. I would go into clockwork and format everything in mounts and storrage menu except emmc and sd. Then flash the latest 4.08.605.15 ruu thru hboot http://dinc.does-it.net/Stock_Images/4.08.605.15/PB31IMG.zip. Then you will be up to date, complete stock, and can root again by flashing cwm http://dinc.does-it.net/Recoveries/CWM_5.0.2.0/PB31IMG.zip thru hboot, and then superuser http://dinc.does-it.net/Superuser/SuperUser_3.0.7.zip thru cwm. You could also flash my Touch Of Blue http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492720 rom based off of 4.08.605.15. Its mostly stock with a few enhancements, and all the facebook stuff will work.
Yea I was looking through your rom earlier. I'm going to go ahead and download it and the kernel you're using. Can you give me some settings that will work well as far as performance and battery life (higher favor in performance). Do I still need to go and format all of that stuff if I take your rom/kernel route? Also could you give me a link on how to do the "ruu through Hboot update?"

My rom already has the gingertiny kernel built in, but has been updated from the version in the rom. So you may want to go to incredikernel.com and download the latest one and flash it.
Yes you still need to wipe everything before flashing the rom. You should always wipe before flashing any rom. The only time you dont need to wipe is if your flashing an update to a rom your already running.
I use lagfree governor, sio scheduler and am undervolted by 50 volts. I also use V6 supercharge with 512hp multitasking, bulletproof launcher, and nitro lag nullifier. However im all about battery life over performance. That being said, performance is still great with the abobe settings. If you want more performance, i would skip undervolting and use performance governor.

I'm liking it a lot so far. About to go in and clear out a little more of the bloatware and flip on Smartass in Set CPU for the new GingerTiny. 1 suggestion or maybe I'm overlooking it, is there a way to change the red VerizonWireless in the pull down? Seems blue would flow better. I saw you were working on the "low space warning..." Also how do you flash the apk for the HTC lock screen? I flashed the OTA and it was a zip so I understood, but what about flashing an apk?

You can change the red to blue but you would need to use UOT Kitchen, google it. Its fairly easy.
You dont flash the apk you just place it in /system/app, give it the correct permissions rwx r-x r-x and correct owner and group both root. You can do this with a root file manager. If your familiar with adb, you can just boot to recovery, and then adb push the apk to /system/app and reboot. That being said in the third post of the rom there is a flashable zip you flash just like a rom, with no wiping.
The V6 supercharger works real nice on GB roms.
