I'm swapping my One S for a One X which is arriving tomorrow. Other than the quality and data issues the One S is set up how I want app wise.
Is there any backup software other than Titanium for restoring apps? I notice the device needs to be rooted to work with Titanium which mine isn't.

I updated the XDA apparently a couple of days ago and lost my favorites. Now I don't even have the option to add favorites. Anyone else see this problem?

This is a bug that was written in the description of the XDA app when the update first came out. They have not fixed it yet as far as I know use titanium to restore a previous version.

Thanks. I still haven't bought Titanium Backup, but it seems to be the one app that I should buy.
The free titanium version is good too but restoring bulk apps is a pain in the ass. That's why I bought it.

Man I didn't even know there was a free version. I'll have to try it out first.
Edit: I was finally able to delete old favorite and subscribe again. Works now. Must have been an oversight by me.
I have question regarding option "rom backup" in this aplication. Backup wil be made with all settings and installed aplications? Or I'm wrong? Sorry if this question will be stupid for someone but HOX is my first phone with Android...

yes it does and you can use App Extracter to extract them:

It looks that titanium backup is not so necessary?

Well, the backup in Rom manager backs up everything, and will restore everything (including the ROM)
Titanium backup can restore apps and settings to a new ROM.
Thanks guys for quick response

but titanium backup has its own pros and many other useful features too thats why people use it instead of Go Backup{ which is also free and backs up apps too}

i used to use mybackup root, they have an option just to save and restore those, i remember there was a glitch in one of the updates several months back, but i assume that should be fixed now. The glitch was that i couldn't delete the messages i restored. I know weird. lol
I use Titanium for both.

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good app for app back up and restore?
I don't want titanium as I'm not rooted, does anyone know if app monster is any good?

Ultimate backup works perfectly never had a problem flashed about 100+ roms

Had problems with Carbon, drivers are installed on my laptop but phone us not recognised when it's plugged in.
Does ultimate backup allow you back up app user data, such as game saves?
Or are there any apps that will do this?

App Back up and restore
Go backup
+1 Go backup pro the best, but I think you need to be root, at least for all posibilities
Super backup works quite well

The only solution is Carbon
My backup pro. Allows you to backup to sdcard as well as to the cloud

does it back up app data without root?
I would suggest go backup pro , backs up everything including contacts , messages, launcher layout , apps and data , supports cloud backup too , and many more features . Check it out

Can't beat go backup
I think any backup app that backs up user data requires ROOT access

Do i need titanium back still even after i made a nandroid back up?
Sent from my SM-P600 using xda app-developers app
Not really, but depends on what you plan on doing
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk
Titanium backup is to back up apps and data or settings that you like. I wouldn't recommend restoring a backup to a different ROM. For example let's say I'm on wicked right now and I made a backup with titanium backup. It wouldn't be wise to move to darthstalker and restore it. It will most likely conflict with other Roms. As long as you keep track of what ROM the backup goes to you should be fine.
