no GB does not have this support

I use virtual button bar. But unfortunately it doesn't have that nice interface

i try using doom's on-screen button on FXP cm9,but cause a bootloop,maybe the framework isnt the same,just hope doom will make it for cm9..

Maybe he maid it for his ROM?
But there is a manual way to do this too on any 4.+ ROM.
Look here.
It is for an advanced user I think,maybe I should wait untilled someone made it for cm9..

Try this app it'll do the job
Trigers savior.apk
Requirements:
Rooted Xperia ION
Root Explorer (or any similar app)
NOTE:
Always make backup in case you mess up the file.
And I'm not responsible on whatever happens to your device.
Instruction:
Open Root Explorer
Go to /system/usr/keylayout
Set the folder as "Mounted as r/w"
Look for clearpad.kl
Open with any text editor
Look for "key 217 SEARCH VIRTUAL" (without the quote)
And change it to "key 217 POWER VIRTUAL" (without the quote)
Save and exit
Reboot your phone
And your search button is now like the power button
I've only tested this on GB 2.3.7-6.0.F.0.111 I'm not sure if this will work with other version.
Also with this modification you can lock your device but to unlock it you still have to use the power button.

So this means that its only active when screen is unlocked. And when locked no battery drain from capacitive button always being monitored.
Am I thinking right?

Sorry, I have not used this. So I'm no help
However I have stopped using the illumination bar light mod due to battery.
Also this is only good for putting phone to sleep. Still need power button to wake up.

Also you need to modifie something in the framework to show the ICS style recent apps.
I think I saw this on the Samsung Captivate/Galaxy S forum... Now I remeber in fact i use it!

Hey there man. It looks like there is some kind of timeout for the volume rocker to work. I mean, if you let the screen locked for one or two minutes the volume wake won't work, it only works within the first minute after locking the screen... any idea why that could be?

Yeah, I'm currently having the issue on my stock N7 haven't flashed the MOD yet, it seems its a bug or something.

Any solution? 4.4.2 seems to have the same issue. I'm using GravityBox to enable the rocker wake
