[MOD] SkyRaider1.3 - Volume as Camera Shutter Button

this will allow you to take a picture using either the volume up, or volume down button. this is an edit to the htccamera.apk, so this does NOT mess with the volume settings.

Any way you can do the search button too? I've seen it somewhere for another device, but not this one.

very welcome, I noticed that too, kinda weird, not sure what is the deal with it.
I noticed if u like press it so it sows the green rectangle to zoom then press the vol button real quick it should work

In some other post you said that SR Zeus 1.3 is your fave ROM, most stable, etc. I totally agree, but your ICS theme for it makes it all the more special. Now with this mod, even sweeter! I'm currently rocking CM7 (i need a fully working camera, so no CM9) b/c I'm a flashing addict (ROM flashing, that is). Are there any support groups for those of us who can't go more than a few days w/o flashing? (Sorry for the off-topic).

editing of the .smali code in the systemui.apk
requires decompiling, editing the code, then recompiling.
that said, I've never tried to even do this MOD, if I did I'd make it, in the mean time, I can just make that icon transparent..
it will be a blank space if say the sync icon or something else is next to it

Alright thanks for the info. I'm currently using Amphibliam's warm theme and I'm pretty sure that mod would override any theme changes right?

I second that. So much more stable and reliable to use the volume buttons. And UKB is friggin' sweet! Justin rocks!

Yeah the menu on both sides is a must. Also is there a way to make the glow blue. Blue keys and white glow just look off.

on second thought! something happened!! after flashing, dman's EPM mod stopped showing when holding the power button! I'm reflashing the EPM and will check again!
Ahhh! I see.. both your mod and dmans EPM mod flashes the same framework file! overwriting it that's why! maybe there might be a was to combine them!!

I think I may have some edits to do! All seems working except for the 4 way rotation! The lock screen rotates just fine but the home screen won't unless the keyboard it out! Strange!! It's only the home screen for apex launcher, it works in other apps! I'll look into it tomorrow. maybe it's something in the launcher and not the mod!

dbrannon, correct me if I'm wrong... but the non-navbuttons mod appears to be on UCLH2.
I've flashed the stock res back each time, and tried both mods - the original is definitely UCLJ3, but second shows me this... (see pic)
Can someone else confirm? I've downloaded twice and got the same result.

Edit: ok I figured it out! yes both combined mods I used Dman's EPM as the base and added Aquethy's mods to it. Dman's EPM mod was based from the leaked version! my apologies! it shouldn't cause any problems but I will work on a update that will show the correct version!

The "about phone" details are all fine... Baseband and kernel showing as UCLJ3, using both mod variants.

I found the problem! just updated my last post! the version shouldn't cause any trouble but I will work on a new one with the correct version!

I forget which rom/kernel I saw it on but it was quite handy to have it as an option instead of having to hold down 2 buttons at once.

Dman's cm10 uses the power and vol down buttons, if I'm not mistaken ICS uses the power and home buttons! maybe a reprogramming of the search button by holding it down!!

I installed the mod without the nav bar, everything works fine, but just wanted to point out that I lost the aosp unlock screen (I think that's how its called) that came with dman's uclj3 rom. Not a big problem, but I would love to get it back. Is there a way to do it? Thanks

***Edit*** I jumped the gun. It was transparent for a few mins then went back to black*** This is on Nexogen though, can someone with Lifeless give it a try.
On a side note the advanced power menu works!! I'm def excited about that I've been waiting for this option to show up.

I read that it may have bugs with stock based overlays, have you ran into any issue or has it conflicted with any of the stock features of the LG UI?

It worked with no problem, and I also used it in combo with Xblast Tools. This is dope, I may put a stock rom on my phone again. Great find!

I have this issue as well on stock ZVC

Love the module from @FemBlack...but unlike isn't working for KitKat? Can't disable notification on left side was using at jelly bean...

Is there any way to get the power button icon up there?(To lock the device) And How?

Go to get Xposed MOD,download " GravityBox " this one can double click statusbar for lock screen.
Or you can setup another way that bouble click " MENU " to lock screen
