Does anyone know if there are any battery cases available? I emailed power-skin they have some pretty nice ones for the S2
http://www.power-skin.com/battery-cases/ap1512gs2/samsung-galaxy-s-shg-i777-i9100-i9103.html
I really hope so. I am surprised battery cases aren't that popular.

How long have you had it?
I wouldn't like a power skin had them before and there not all the good and the materiel just sucks, I wish they would be a case like the iPhone 4/4s(incipio or mophie juice pack) , is a little more expensive but actually protects the phone too

I am going to get a battery case for the phone but I am currently getting almost 2 days on moderate use. 3hr screen time, 2 hours in calls, but very little navigation...
Has anyone had any luck finding one? Now that I've had the phone for a while and I'm getting 14 hours of heavy use but leaves me in the red by the time I'm off work
edit: Just found some on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/2200mAh-Power-Bank-External-Backup-Battery-Case-Cover-For-Galaxy-S3-i9300-/271013494903?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3f19a9c077&_uhb=1#ht_3270wt_1163
why would you get a case? just get an extended battery with a new door.
it would be much slimmer and provide better power
Any one hour I've if these yet? Concerned about quality

Agree, I had a powerskin for my Skyrocket and it was garbage... took it back after a few days. Turned out the Nexus extended battery worked for the Skyrocket which has useful. Unfortunatly it doesn't work for the S3.
I'm really wanting a battery with higher mah because no matter what I try my battery is almost dead after a 10 hr day at work.

Also, how exactly do those work as far as charging? Do you just leave the phone in it, hook up the charger, and it charges both the phone's battery and the external battery at the same time?

I can't, can't, can't, for the life of me get with those fat backs! It's just such an eye sore... And this phones so sleek. I'm curious to kno what's the largest (mah) battery you've seen without the aftermarket back?

I think its easier to hold with the back and I can get well over 6 hours screen time with the brightness up to about 75%. I got mine last weekend and I'm still amazed how long I use it and I get paranoid about the battery then look at it and its still all the way charged. I got the trexcell and its awesome so far. I'm at 13 hours on my charge right now with 1 hour and 2 minutes on the screen all web browsing and its at 75%.

I was just sick of battery being an issue for me on most Roms... And our phones are so slim already a little bulk don't hurt.
Which battery specifically did you get? I'm thinking of getting one myself actually, almost got stuck in the middle of a totally unknown location because my battery was almost dead. Not a fun predicament, I'll say that much.
Lol I usually never complain about any ROM cause I know my extended will still get me through the day any day

The brand on it is qcell. I've had them about 4 months and they are easily as good as the OE battery. Though I believe they are advertised as 1950 as opposed to our 1800. For $20 you can't go wrong.

I have Verizon GNex running stock JB and i like it that way.
Currently i have the original 1850mah and 2100mah battery, i've just purchased a $5 external batt charger on ebay to charge the extra battery and it's working so far.
What do most ppl. recommend/use to get through the day on GNex.
What's better among the hyperion or mugen or sieodo or should i go for external battery like Anker??
Thanks

Do u have any numbers like how long it last compared to stock or 2100mah battery.
Also where did you buy it from? Hyperion 3800mah with NFC has decent reviews on amazon but only cost $20.

Do you happen to know if it is compatible with the GT-I9250 model? And one more thing that I know it could be too much to ask,but could you please upload some pics so that we can see how much thicker it is?
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
Would be interested to know if it will fit the GT-I9250 aswell, been looking for a 3800 with NFC, darned if I can find 1 in the UK, presume these are Verizon only?
Are there ANY with NFC other than the 2000Mah for the GT-I9250 ?
The battery for international version and US Verizon i515 are different. So look for the one compatible for your phone

+1 for Hyperion 3800 mAh from Amazon. I have been having a hard time trying to kill it (battery to 0% and auto-shutoff) during break-in cycles. This thing just last a long time. Now is Sunday night and my battery is running at 4% after the last time I charged (Friday night). The Battery detail says I've had almost 6 hours of screen time (auto brightness) on it already.

So I ordered a 1800mah battery for the epic. It fit and everything but literally while charging it and on browser on just data, the battery life decreases while on the charger. It also almost died at school today. On my 1500mah, I ended a 7 hour day with about 30-40%. On the 1800mah, I got down to 20 and below. If kind of makes me mad that I bought a bigger battery and out sucks. And what is a good 1800mah battery for the epic?

Not always the charger.... When I'm on 4G and trying to use Google Maps even plugged in I drain my battery. If I shut GMaps down, it starts charging as per normal.
It was really frustrating when I first got the phone, as I was in the process of moving to Denver and knew where nothing was. Now, at least, I know the area well enough to just have it on at the start or end of trip.
The Anker samsung battery (search amazon for it .. ~$10 and 1800mah) has shown good results for me.

it is normal for the phone to consume more power than the charging pack can output....... you might not of had this problem because the 1500ma battery uses less energy than a 1800mah battery(hence the extra life..) if you charge with a USB 1A charger it should charge the new battery better. also, turn of 3g and watch your battery charge about 2times faster than with it on.

Hi there I was looking to get a longer lasting battery than my stock one with my S3 and I am a bit of a noob - I really dont like the fat ones so would be great to get one to fit inside. Now when I was browsing I noticed this 3800 one : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3800mAh-High-Capacity-Battery-for-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-i9300-/300944750217?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4611b47689 seems great specs but I cannot find anyone thats reviewed it - seen a few posts on the 'gold' ones (and this may be one of them I think - just looks different) on ebay at 3250 and some people say there good but I am unsure which is best and if there are probelms involved? Or if they are actually better / worth getting? I.e. I see mentions of leakey batteries memory problems and NFC loss - I guess I dont mind the NFC loss is that about it? Thanks!

Yes I have searched through many places already. I guess I was hoping maybe someone had tried this particular battery. I guess I might have to assume its like a 'gold' one. A zerolemon at 2300 and anker at 2200 isnt the stock 2100? Sounds a bit pointless to get an extra 200 no? I.e. how long extra are you getting out of these?
Got a feeling this 3800 will be more like 2500 at best anyway I suppose - would be nice to know...I suppose these cheap batteries dont leak or over heat or wipe card memories - not sure why some people talk about this - not seen any reports of this.

Yeah, right now I'm at 30% remaining and I have had it unplugged for 29 hours. So at this rate I should get 36 to 48 hours.

I have two zerolemons. They last for 1 day, but I play games like Riptide GP2, GTA all the day on work.

2 weeks ago I picked up a couple ZeroLemon 2300 batteries and I'd guess I get an additional 30-40% life over my 13 month old stock battery. I had been using a QCell 2100mah battery for the last 12 months as well and it worked well enough, including NFC. The QCell was no better than the stock battery at the time of purchase, hard to say if the ZeroLemon is at this point as I can't remember my old battery stats. I do miss NFC functionality with the ZeroLemon batteries but I may be the only idiot who ever actually used NFC tags anyway.
