[Q] Kindle Fire 6.3.1 bricked how to fix?? - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My pc wont recognize it
Stuck on the kindle fire screen(no animation)
was rerooting with kfu
i am a total noob who needs step by step instructions
please help and thanks ahead of time!

Do you know how to access recovery?

No. as i said, no experience.

Turn the device off
Turn it back on and when you see the boot logo (the first screen you see) hold the power button until it turns orange and release.
Let us know whether it boots into recovery or not.

It does not turn orange it just turns off again

Take a look at the troubleshooting sticky post at the top of the Q&A section. Read the beginner's guide you see there. Make sure your device drivers are working in post 2. There are fastboot and adb commands in post 3. You are probably stuck in fastboot mode. You need to change the bootmode back to normal so the device can boot into the system software.

What do you mean by saying your KF has not FIREFIREFIRE?
Gửi từ Kindle Lửa của tôi qua Tapatalk 2
First of all, FIREFIREFIRE doesn't just magically install itself. What did you use to root the device? I'm sure whatever you used to root your device installed FIREFIREFIRE.
And your Kindle isn't bricked, it's just in the wrong bootmode.

the 4sec interval signals to fastboot mode! You got to enter necessary commands during to stay in fastboot mode and flash the custom recovery TWRP and than re-install update.zip(kindle update bin renamed). consider the link below for twrp and root manual install plus relevant commanline, those commands will help to flash and boot into twrp mode after installing it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24129239
P.s.remember to point to the directory containing the fastboot and adb command files in my case c:/program files (x86)/android/android-sdk/platform-tools/ ALSo, in future to factory reset the device, install the kindle update.zip (renamed kindle update bin file downloaded from amazon kindle site)
how do i enter the commands? with a program if so give me a link to get it plz

kindle fire utility 9.5
Remove and install your drivers for your kindle fire. Than install kindle fire utility found here in xda forums. Install and run the utility select option 1 and select normal 4000 boot mode. Plug in your kindle fire and turn it on. This worked for me. Booted right up just be patient it may take a few minutes.
what are the drivers and where do i find them and how do i reinstall them?

<shakes head in disappointment>
With all due respect, what on earth made you think it was a good idea to root the Kindle with such an obvious lack of computer literacy? Were you aware of the risks?
Your problem is simple to fix but it requires at least some basic working knowledge of a computer. Do yourself a huge favor and Google search "Kindle Fire USB drivers" to find out. And not to be hateful but I think it's highly unlikely that many people here would be willing to go through the arduous process of explaining how to install device drivers.
I would suggest doing some research on the matter and come back with a better foundation to work from.
Otherwise I think your best bet would be to revert back to stock and forget about rooting all together (requires research).

[Q] Kindle: No TWRP, No ROM, Won't Leave fastboot Screen

Same problem
I have the same problem with my Kindle Fire!!!

Thanks, but ...
Thank you for the answer.
But my main problem is, first time, when i used KFU and installed fastboot, the reboot prozess started, but nevermore ended.
I see just the Kindle Fire logo on the screen, and nothing happens. I turn it off (long power button press), and i it on ... Kindle Fire logo nothing else.
The thread what you recommended don't help me, because i can't attach my Fire to my PC. (ADB driver installed and worked well last time)
Sorry for my poor english.

You'll find, when you read the thread posted above, what the "stuck at Kindle Fire logo" means, along with what would cause adb and fastboot to fail connecting to your computer. You may have to read more than two paragraphs though.

Sorry, what you said doesn't make a whole lot of sense because you've attached a photo of a recovery screen that you claim to have wiped... and that's not even TWRP you have in your photo, that's CWMR. Maybe you'd like to go back a few posts and read the guide in the link that was provided earlier.
Then, you'll need to describe what you have installed on your device, what appears to be broken, and exactly where you are getting stuck int he process of reinstalling the Kindle Fire software.

Fastboot Problem

Sorry, nothing is working. I accidentaly selected fastboot while in recovery and it rebooted in fastboot. Now its stuck on the firefirefire logo. How the hell do I fix this????

I guess I'm just an idiot. Fastboot just gets me stuck at the FFF yellow triangle and stops. Recovery and Normal boot don't start the device all the way, so I can't access it from my computer to add a ROM.zip file to the /SD card.
From what the post says, you need to be in fastboot. KFU doesn't see my device in any of the boot modes either.
What should I try to do to get my Fire back? Will a Factory reset do the trick? Will that Unroot my Kindle? Is that even the right direction?
Please advise.
Thank you.

Nothing??? I booted up my Kindle at work, used the Real Calc app from Google Market (was running GO Launcher EX, Rooted with KFU) let it go into sleep more, picked it up to use it for.... I don't remember, It just had the mini Android Robot on the screen with a Triangle with Orange " ! " inside it. I couldn't get the device to respond, so I hard shutdown (hold down power button until power off). Then it booted up and immediately shut down and restarted and there was the Yellow Triangle splash, the Kindle Fire splash, An Android Robot with a progress bar underneath (which I've never seen before), it filled to ~20%, then The Mini Androit with the orange " ! " like before.
I can boot to reocov, norm, and fastboot, but none work and my Kindle is not longer recognized by my PC.
I really have no clue man.

Your kindle tried to update to the new stock software. Your next step would be to boot into recovery and install the stock that way (you would then have to reroot using kfu) or you could install a custom rom. If yore after the stock look then check out the modaco from in the dev section.

[Q] Bricked my kindle fire!!!! PLZ HELP...

My kindle fire is stuck at FIREFIREFIRE bootloader ( the screen which has a kindle fire logo and an android logo above it)....
My conditions are like this:
Kindle fire - ROOTED
ROM - Kindle Fire Stock Rom
TWRP - Installed
FIREFIREFIRE - Installed
And i could'nt find 'kindle fire' in my windows device manager when i plugged my kindle on my pc...
Help will be appreciated...
This is a must-read: [GUIDE] Kindle Fire For Beginners
Be sure to read the first 3 posts.
not finding ' kindle ' , or 'android device' on my windows 7 device manager...so how shud i get rid of it? has anybody experienced it?
Long press on the Fire power button does nothing - doesn't launch TWRP in recovery mode. Entering commands in a Command window from my laptop isn't getting through to my Fire. And, as I mention above, the Kindle Fire device is not available on my Device Manager
After reading the guide potestasx offered you, do you you understand why your device is stuck at the boot screen?
I think i've been stuck at boot loader due to lack of battery....
I fully charged it after that...
but its still stuck...
Cant find 'kindle' or "Kindle' on my Device manager...
So dont know whether i on Fastboot mode or Normal mode...
I assume that i m on fastboot mode...
i tried installing drivers from 'install_drivers' in 'kindle fire utiltity'...
but none changed...
Known Tricks
If you end up stuck at the yellow triangle, in KF Utility select Boot Normal, wait for it to say <waiting for device> and then press and hold the power button 20 seconds until the fire turns off, then when its off turn it back on. This sometimes happens, I have yet to find a clean solution If you end up stuck with a yellow triangle, do not EVER unplug it. Leave it plugged in. Check the windows drivers to make sure it isnt showing as "kindle" again. Fastboot is different and can cause this.
Please note: If your device can't be seen in fastboot mode, please make sure to install the drivers packaged with this, as it will show up afterwards. You can use the install_drivers.bat with the device plugged in for this.

Not quite. First of all, you're in the wrong bootmode. You just need to change it back to normal and you'll be just fine. The guide posted earlier has information on the different bootmodes, how they work, and eventually how to change them. From your description it should be pretty easy to fix.
You also need to pay attention to the second post of that thread as it will help you verify that your drivers are in order. The third post will give you the necessary tools to fix your problem and any others that may arise.
I will tell you this, after you've changed your bootmode it would be a good idea to reinstall TWRP and then use TWRP to install FFF1.4
Thanx a lot Thepooch...My kindle fire is working now....
thanx.... I m thinking of installing FIREFIREFIRE v.1.4...It has fixed charging mode and other..
It'll help if it happens further...
Thanx again
Your welcome be careful with it now
I thought it's working but it is doing the same thing again again... it is rebooting and sticking to the bootscreen again after using 5 mins.....Cant understand the problem behind it...what to do?

Are you able to boot to recovery? If so, you might try running a backup and then load a custom rom just to test normal boot. I've had bootmode issues twice with the stock rom (6.3 & 6.3.1).

Run fastboot 5001 (full command in the guide thread).
If it says waiting on device, hold the power button until it shuts off and then power it back on. That should alow you to get into recovery.

Yep, that'll do it. The stock roms were not built to update with root/recovery installed. I learned that the hard way, too.

[Q] Kind Fire Bricked at Yellow Triangle....What Now???

So Ive read multiple threads from this forum and tried the suggested methods and nothing has worked at all. My Kindle Fire is stuck at the Yelllow triangle logo and I have no clue how to get it back working at this point. I originally rooted using BreakDroid using Clockwork recovery and was successful running the Energy ICS Rom.
I attempted to flash the Miui ICS Rom and thats where it went all bad and has been stuck at the Yellow Triangle ever since. I've tried to use the KFU 0.9.6 but my computer only recognizes the kindle as a "android phone" but doesn't see that's it plugged in. KFU states that it's waiting for device when trying to run any of the commands and I have reboot to get it to proceed but none of the commands work and only return me back to a frozen triangle screen everytime.
So I need some serious advise on how to start over and get my kindle fire back to stock and out of this dreadful yellow triangle screen thats haunting me! Please post any instructions based on your experiences or expertise.
Please Please Please Help!
Thanks in advance.....

You have two different problems.

I wrote some but later recinded it because I didnt feel it fully applied. but as I see you did a bad flash with clockwork mod when the newer roms need to be flashed with twrp from all I have read. Your situation screams drivers as well as soup says. If you can access recovery what about your backup? lemme guess didnt make one? You can use kfu to change your boot mode but first you need adb working my suggestion plug your kindle in run the drivers see if it doesnt show up in kfu.But that doesnt fix what corrupted your system that caused your bootloop in the first place. Really all you can do is get adb going to push some files to your sd card to work with unless perhaps with some magic you regain access to usb mass storage. All this teeters on your ability to get into recovery as well.
