I eagerly wait for your review! I have been looking at cases for my SG2, and this one may be the perfect one. This case would make it much easier for designing a tripod adapter.

It looks as though the buttons holes are too deep to use them, maybe it is just how it looks to me. I hope so. I want to get one of these as soon as I know about the button holes.

Raises up the camera and screen so as to have less chance of scratches on either, less chance of scratching the sides, which seem to me the most tender in terms of scratches, and offers an easier item to hold. I only want to know if the holes are too deep to use the volume and power button. If that is the case, than I wont buy one. But they do look really :awsm.

Airbrushing isn't that hard, just sand the thing down, prime it, sand it, paint it, then clear coat. Take you about a days wait, with about 2hours work.

if you're lucky, the letters will be in plastic, this way you can use a sugar cube to scratch it off. the reason for the sugar cube is because its not hard enough to scratch the paint/metal off yet strong enough to remove plastic lettering

I haven't found one yet, but I'd certainly buy one if they're available

I know they look really bad ass, there are a lot of colors available for the international gs2 but nothing available for our phone.

Wow, I REALLY hope someone makes this for our phones. I'll take one in blue please!

Same, this is the first phone that I have to use a case for. The phone kept slipping out of my hands..no good

I put a carbon fiber Skinomi skin on my phone, it's sticking pretty good so far, and I'm impressed by how well it fits, it actually does look good in a way that I dare say classes up the phone...
But I'd ditch my back door in a heartbeat, I think a metal door would look cool with the carbon fiber skin on the rest of the phone.
Fingers crossed.

This is the first phone I have used without a case. Each to their own.
Though I would buy that metal plate in a heartbeat.

I imagine it will only be a matter of time before its available for the epic touch. At least I hope so..*crosses fingers *

just curious how a piece of metal on the back of the phone would affect the cell radios and the GPS signal

I have stop using cases for quite sometime. The main reason is that here in Cambodia it is so affordable and convenient to get gadget flim wrap.
In the past I only use either clear and frosted flims. I opt for colored flim for my SIII.

if you want it to just look good, then i think your idea is great.
but when the phone drop face down then i dont think there would be any protection

Is that a wrap on the side as well? if so then how it feel and does it look like it will peel easily? I could use one on my pebble blue phone where the bezel is purple!

I'm going to give the official flip case a try once I finally get my Verizon version of the SGS3 here in the US. I'm bummed out that it doesn't have a magnetic clasp or anything to keep it closed, but at the same time it's a full on case so the phone should obviously handle drops much better. That all being said, the phone is gorgeous and I'm not gonna want keep it hidden! I have the full protection from Verizon so whatever happens to my phone I'll just get another one anyways.

I'm still on the fence. At this point though I'm leaning more towards no case.

i don't think screen protector is of any use because it is gorilla glass

I actually think my white S3 looks better with a Matt black case, because I like the white border around the camera, flash and speaker which contrasts against the black case, and then the black border around edge of phone, I mean not everyone will like that but I dog

I doesn't peel off easily and yes the side is wrapped. So far all the film that the shop doesn't love residue when it is removed.
It is a rough textured. Sort of like mildly used sand paper.

Wow, I am genuinely impressed! These are arguably the best looking cases I've ever seen. However, I am not a big fan of dual layer cases. I bought an Otterbox Commuter for my Galaxy Nexus, used it for a week, and ended up going back to the generic TPU case I was using previously. Yes, the dual layer case offers a superior level of protection. Unfortunately, it makes the phone a bit too bulky for my tastes. In terms of bulkiness, will the Musubo cases be similar to Otterbox?

I'm buying all 3 when they release. The volume buttons are sick on the rubber band one. But all 3 cases are def something different and worth supporting.

I'm definitely feeling the Retro case, despite the it being dual layer. The old-school microphone look is just too cool to pass up. The Mummy case is nice as well, but it seems to be a regular TPU case with a cool design, and $35 for a TPU case is a bit steep.

It now has a ETA of August 6

Protection is likely going to be good.
The question will be how quality the product is and if it will be scratch resistant plastic or if it'll end up looking like trash after just a few weeks.

The more I think about it, the more $35 for the Mummy case seem like a ripoff. I haven't seen the case in person, but it seems to be just a regular TPU case. I ended up buying the PureGear Slim Shell that I like quite a bit.

I didn't even consider that people were still reading this. This is actually a piece of automotive vinyl from 3M. It's their carbon effect selection. From here, I simply cut a section that was the right size for my phone back and then trimmed it down with a razor blade. From here, I used a heat gun to gently pass over it until I was able to shape the corners and retrim.

Ridiculous. Kevlar is a material. It can be woven, colored & designed just like any other material. They make suits woven with Kevlar, high end suits, for high risk CEO's, etc. They also make Kevlar coated vehicles. Starwood Motor in Texas makes a Kevlar coated Jeep Wrangler that is pretty badass. http://www.starwoodmotors.com/web/used/Jeep-Wrangler-2013-Dallas-Texas/7060412/

Idk about all that, but I went out and bought some carbon fiver vinyl wrap from Autozone for my note and it came out great! No heat gun required, just clean, apply, cut the edges, don't even need to wrap around the shell because part of the shell goes into the casing of the phone and protects the edges. Looks great, feels great, I absolutely love it Thanks for the great idea!
