max stable overclock reached till now - Defy General

Hey guys i know this that some guys have reached clock value of 1350 mhzz..
but yesterday i was going through some forum there it was said that defy is capable of reaching 1.9ghz..
and can we damage defy by overclocking to 1350 mhz for a short time..
do post you most stable config reached..

Wow, 1.9Ghz? Maybe if the Defy was kept in liquid nitrogen .

It can be declared capable only if it reached that value previously, otherwise those are only empty words.

may be ..
i am guessing it was declared based on processor power..
though havent seen it my self..

omap3 can handle that much? lol!

I'm actually running my defy at 1.3 GHz with no problems nor any noticeable increase in temperature! @vsel = 64

I've overclocked my defy + to 1.4Ghz @ 70Vsel stable. If I try to OC it further the phone actually starts lagging more and the lagging decreases as voltage is increased

It depends of your rom i think

sorry bad english

1,3ghz iss possible, but your cpu life gets shorter, because your cpu is too hot whith such a hidg clock!

30/400
43/700
54/1100
It's very stable for me

These work just fine for me. Very reasonable values considering CPU lifespan and battery drain.
20/300
31/600
44/900
58/1200

If defy can be over clocked to 1.3ghz can't defy + be over clocked above 1.5GHz ?

[Q] Super overclock?

Sorry for my bad english!
I heard about the very overclock kernel for HTC Wildfire, which may overclock more than 1 GHz, and I need it:
I know that the CPU can overheat, but this doesn't happen with setcpu
Sorry for my bad english!
i also heard about this, i'm not too sure where it was, think it might of been on Modaco? but it was an overclock kernel in Beta with overclock in excess of 1ghz
Really? I would love to read a bit on this. Please provide a link if you have one, because I have never heard of this kernel.
my friend from 4pda.ru saw a man from xda, which have a wildfire with 1.2 ghz overclock, but my stupid friend didn't save the link
If it's stable enough to be usable for more then 5 mins I give it 30 mins before it gets too hot to hold.

Perhaps the battery wont hold it long enough to experience overheating? ;-)

for me 700 GHz or less is good for a wildfire

Lol...... true, running at 768 and I can watch my battery gauge go down at least 25% per hour now imagine running at nearly double that speed, I'd have to take the battery out of my car and get the soldering iron out!

how than i want 800 mhz of 1 ghz
I was making fun of his typo. 700 GIGAHz is impossible on a wildfire
The rule for CPU's, in normal condiction, is to increase the clock max from 20 to 30%, Wildfire have one of 528 MHz and overclocking to 1GHz is too much, need a freezer.
I am running the stock 2.2 Froyo ROM and my phone is rooted.
What kernel should I use to be able to overclock my phone. I just reverted back to the stock ROM from CM7, which was giving me all sorts fof trouble, and want to be able to overclock the phone.
Thanks in advance!
nFinity 2.6.35 its the standard one in cm7 should work on stock rom
Isn't that rumour for Wildfire S..?
Would Be cool
That would be cool if you really get Wildire processor in 1GHZ . Please if somebody know something about it, Please tell. It Would Be So COOOL!
Help me please!!!

well this is wildfire buzz section and you are asking in the wrong section and here goes your link which i can find somewhere Remember don't use too high frequencies, it will lead to high battery drain and may explode

(Q)Over-Clocking and Under-Volting

havent tried Ocing in my arc,im curious is it really a big difference
from 1ghz Ocing to 1.4 or higher?and the only way to O/C is to unlocked bootloader and use different kernel?is there a stable and safe frequency?tested in a daily usage..
Well, I'm currently running at 806Mhz, I was previously at 1.2Ghz and to be honest, I don't see any difference.
Sent from my LT15i using XDA App
You may try to flash the DoomKernel on your device. It will give you rootaccess, the possibility to over and underclock. But first you need to unlock your bootloader.
I overclocked my Arc to 1,9ghz Max running for days without any problems. I dont recommend much higher or it will run stuck and you may damage your device.
Only overclock your device when you have a good feeling about it
so does that mean i can't over clock to let's say 1.4 GHz and let it be like that for daily use ? either with DoomLord ROM or CM7 ROM..

You can overclock, but ARE YOU REALLY need 1,8Ghz??? All day.
Stock you had 1Ghz and its already fast.
When you doing some grazy OC lets say 1.9ghz your device may be unstable after that.
Most people using 1,2 or 1,4ghz because its stable and not draining battery a lot.
I use 800-900mhz and very happy.
Whay we always talking overclocking, but not "downclocking"
Edit: doomlord kernel max is 2.0Ghz but dont forget about stock is 1ghz....so 2 times faster BUT not all devices are stable with this insane speed.
CM7 and FXP kernel max 1,6Ghz and its rock solid stable all day and night.
Cheers

From what I've experienced,
If u set the OC in min 1GHz and max 1.8GHz like what I've done, you will notice that ur phone is going smoother.
Well, this is my opinion..

Problems with Overclock...

hy guys,
This is my first post...
My GIO is stable until 806 mhz, if i increase i have freeze and blocks and i must reboot manually... i try all governors and I/O
i have tried the best roms on xda, (actually i use the cm 7 by squad)
and some kernel by phiez, by squadzone..ecc
i know people that OC our GIO to 900 mhz stable, how is it possible? each gio is different?
you have any advice for me?
many thanks
Does it freeze at 844mhz, for example???
Wait.... you're using squadzone rom and phiexz kernel? Phiexz kernel is only for stock rom....
Each processor is different...
Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk
Every phone differs, so the one can go higher fhen others.. Just need a bit of luck .
And, phiex kernel doesnt work with cyanogen/ext4
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda premium
i meant say that i tried
7.1 rc3 by phiez
7.2 phiez
7.2 squad
cyano 9 ics
+ other rom...
always the same problem with OC, stable to 806, at 825 the apps restart and some freeze, at 844 i can't slide the menĂ¹ that the phone freeze...
i'm the usual unlucky with the phone..
can i try some tweaks? or test something?
thanks

The only thing you can do is buy a new gio, as you cant modify your arm v6 qualcom cpu to make it more stable , as it is made for 787mhz.
You can tweak etc with scripts, will improve performance, but not your max cpu frequency. Not that that cares, if performance increases
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda premium
I can get it to 883 without immediately rebooting but my phone jams a lot and i have to do a battery pull. Or is this because I use CM9
LoL, I think I am lucky because my Gio can do 940 MHz and its fully stable, next freq, it reboots.

I think finland gios are best
902 here

902 but very happy with 800, will overclock if i get new phone.
Sent from my GT-S5660
My GIO also runs at 940 most of my apps, but I like it all-round stable, so it has to be 920
You guys are sooo lucky. 900+ MHz?! thats crazy. Mine is perfect stable at 844, but one higher at 864, my phone is so unstable, i cant even get into CPU tuner, without my phone rebooting again haha.

[Q] What is the best Defy+ rom for gaming?

So the question is , what the title is.
I have now cm10 and i did an antutu benchmark , and my score was 3100, but I saw , there are a lot of scores with around 3500..

So it is reasonably safe to OC at 1.2?

Hello, so as you know OC may have a detrimental effect on Xplay Hardware, I was wondering if OC at 1.0-1.2, maybe 1.3, will ultimately deteriorate the Xplay. I was waiting for intro of a PS1 game to pass 1.2ghz then fell asleep, and it stayed on until the battery shut down at 4%..probably was on a few hours I don't know
Lol, yea u can oc to 1.2 GHz in fact that's my normal OC settings for all games,
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
I think its safe until 1.4
Depends on chipset, mine can go to 2 GHz but reboots after 20-40 mins and at 1.9 it stays for about 1 hours
And my safest oc is 1.8, buy I'm in lupus so 1.6 for now,

Agreed. Xperia Play can reach 1.4GHz easily without any serious issue. It can go further but being very carefully with CPU settings and dealing with the shorter battery life and the device getting hotter.
I run 1.6ghz all day and it's smooth 24/7. My battery hasn't really taken a hit at all.
My default clock is 1.6Ghz the majority of the time.
The chipset itself can handle 1.4Ghz according to the manufacturers guidelines and this clock has been set in another phone. (I don't remember which)
On the Xperia Play, you're not really effecting the hardware at all until 1.3Ghz as it is not until 1.3Ghz that the voltage requirement changes for the CPU.
Yea that's why I run 1.2 GHz on my stock battery to save it and not drain it! (I use 3600mah mostly)
