[Q] Phone not booting up- help please - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

My phone went into a bootloop and not booting up. I tried taking the battery out and still the same.I am able to go into recovery and download mode. I tried restoring my old backup's, it's just going blank during system restore. I tried flashing juggernaut didnt get any errors but still bootlooping in my original darkside kernel.
ROM : Darkside digital warfare v5.1
Is there any ODIN way to fix my phone. Please help. Also i couldnt find the kernel cleanser can you please share the link. Thanks a lot

Here's the link to Master & Slaves Kernel Cleanser. It's with his Blu Ray Rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1455292 It's a start.

hi, the only thing i can think about is to flash the stock rom via odin and start fresh from there if the problem persist.
Hope you fix the issue

[Q] gaudi_bootimage.jpg

I flashed stock kernel and getting "gaudi_bootimage.jpg draw failed" instead of Galaxy splash.
I have tried bubby recovery, and Zedo's backup restore. Plus all the kernels in varisous orders after\before bubbys and Zedos recovery.
It always boots recovery first then on reboot shows the gaudi_bootimage.jpg.
If anyone knows the steps to fix this please let me know. None of the restore methods are fixing this problem.
I am having the same issue, and all custom kernels will boot with galaxy logo with the triangle like they are supposed to but then after boot animation my screen goes black?? Please help.
*** Update*** I used a CWM Nandroid backup from zedomax and solved all my problems. Just odin a kernel with CWM and restore his back up in back up restore options and then start over from scratch. Back up and more info in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho

Your link was not complete.
Did you mean this one?? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1272186
Also I used the ZedoMax CWM backup files. It did restore the sprint logo and stock rom. However the jpg issue and boot to recovery remains. Did you use the steps in the link I posted? Or did you do something else? I followed the steps several times and I am still stuck.
I'm having the exact same issue, I have the 'gaudi_bootimage.jpg' error and a 'charging.jpg' error when I am plugged in and I power off the phone. I've tried the ZedoMax kernel, which only gives me the Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 boot image, I've returned back to stock ROM and kernel, same error. I even went to Cakulins EG20 ROM and still have the same 'gaudi_bootimage.jpg' and 'charging.jpg' errors. Any help would be appreciated.
look here, this may help. it helped me.

Did you really have to bring up an old thread? ODINing over a stock EL29 tar should fix any issues. Its not like too many people are on EG30 at this point.

I had the same issue and formatted my system but same results. So I went back to Calkulin 2.6 let me know if you get a answer to the issue
Did you flast 2.0 first, then 3.2?
After I flashed 2.0 it took me several reboots to get past the logo screen, but after 2-3 reboots and a lot of waiting it did.
yeah same here, either i am in on my phone then i try to reboot, it never reboots on the first try, i have just restart it and it will sometimes reboot. Also do wipe data then flash 2.0 then caulkin then do the blazer bugged 3.2 and it should work, (maybe not on the first retry)

[Q] help with flashing Blazer 4.0

Hey all. today I decided to try the blazer 4.0 rom. Im currently on Senzation 2.3 . I followed the instructions completely but the phone got stuck on the galaxy logo screen after rebooting. It would not boot into recovery either. I had to go into download mode and use odin to get it working again. can someone please help me out? would it be an issue with the kernel? Im attaching a screen shot so hopefully it would help. Any kind of help, suggestions, flaming or trolling is much appreciated!!!
Make sure you follow the install instructions in Blazer's OP. My experience with fresh Blazer installs:
-Nandroid
-Wipe /system, /data, /cache
-Install Blazer ROM
-Reboot and let phone site for 10 minutes
-Reboot recovery and install kernel of choice (if different from packaged Blazer kernel)
-Reboot
Good luck. Feel free to poll the large user community for help in the Blazer ROM thread in the Dev section
Make sure you are NOT flashing with the hitman touch recovery that has given allot of people problems including myself.

Hi. Your procedures are just like what i did but no dice for me. will trying doing it again today. Thank you for your help.
If you have not flashed EL29 modem, do so... Then follow steps. After Manuel wipe, I would flash format all zip too. Btw, first boot could take up to 5mins...
I have the same problem when I went from blazer 3.8 to blazer 4.0. It just won't boot pass the galaxy logo. I have since flash a couple if different recoveries (cwm, rogue, etc). I was finally able to make it work blazer 4.0 with I've of them recoveries (but I forgot which one). Only problem now is that it won't work with the blazer 3.8 ROM.
I like the Blazer roms but they are very tricky/troublesome to flash. I don't have a problem with any of the recoveries with the other roms.
Blazer rom install
I've been using Rogue Recovery 1.1.2 (CWM v5.o.2.7) flash blazer roms 3.7. to 4.0 with out a problem also Caulkins roms might try that if your on a different version.
If you get stuck on SGS2 screen after flashing the new ROM, reboot to recovery (volume up + power). Flash the ROM again without wiping anything, then reboot.

You're flashing calkulins format all zip, after wipe, and before flashing the rom....right?

I didn't flash calkulins format all zip at first, just did nano, wipe and flash and I was running into the same issue. I finally did a complete format, then flashed calkulins format, then flashed Blazer..worked perfect.
I can Only go into download mode after flashing blazer. it will not let boot into recovery at all.

Yeah that happens to me too. You have to use odin to flash a recovery tar file to the phone. I use the cwm 5.0 tar file.
Hi guys, I have one question. When flashing the rom, should I select wipe data/factory reset option before flash calkulins format all zip or just flashing calkulins format all zip is going to be enough? Also, should I select wipe cache partition option too? I am on stock and this is gonna be my first rom.

[Q] Need Help Small Problem

So, been a couple weeks been trying to flash CM10 ROMs, Paranoid, AOKP and CYANO, Everytime i flash I wipe everything as instructed and when it reboots it just hangs on the cyanogem boot image with the wheel spinning and does nothing. Not even a boot loop?! I let it sit for up to a half hour before and still nothing. But I can go and restore my old rom (not CM!) and works great..and if I flash a a new TW rom it flashes correctly.
Any ideas. I am on CWM when I flash. I also tried to flash TWRP and that would not take as well and had to go back to CWM.
Things I would check:
Verify MD5 tags of the roms your flashing when you download
Try wiping cache/dalvik/system and doing a factory reset after you have a successful flash
Question I have for you...
Have you tried unrooting and rooting again?
TWRP and CWM should both work, but have you ran the darkside scripts if using CWM? > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477955
Lastly - I have heard people needing to reflash several times before it "takes" which it sounds like maybe you've tried & I realize these may be very basic things for you but you never know hopefully someone can help the more info you provide.

I am on a custom rom now and everything is fine..but when I try to flash anything other than a Touchwhiz rom it seems to fail. I had paranoid running for a little while but I could not access my external sd so went back to my Jedi Mind Trick rom and everything was fine...so I decided to try a different paranoid thinking the issue was with this specific rom and it would not boot..went back to JMT and then tried aosp cm10 rom thinking and it wouldn't boot.
i have tried everything you have suggested except for the Factory Reset after the flash. Never really check the MD5 though. Might give it a try later on when I get bored with this rom again.
Thanks,
T
Sorry, reread your post now that I have the right context... Try unrooting and rerooting if you continue to have new rom flash issues.

I was running into this same issue until I switched from CWM to the most recent TWRP, it's super easy just install Goomanager app and hit menu button >install OpenRecoverScript. After switching I haven't needed the Darkside script and I've yet to get a single hang at boot. Hopefully it helps!

I actually tried this yesterday and it went through the motions and when I restarted into recovery it was just like a blue background with the Team Win on it but never made it past that...so I had to flash back to CWM through Odin to get it to be able to flash again..

After doing this try downloading quickboot to boot into twrp recovery, if that doesn't help you might need to flash back to stock/re-root and start from square one =/

nevermind - fixed it by installing a newest version of clockwork mod and redoing the install.
Please remember with the newest TMo 4.1.2 base there is a preload partition that is wiped when you wipe cache/dalvik. You WILL bootloop without preload. Jamison has modified the old TDJ wipe scripts to add preload back in and I recommend using those instead of wiping from recovery. They can be found in his Infamous 4.1.2 ROM thread in development.
Can't enter recovery after restore, following bootloop
Hi Everyone,
I was running CM 10.1.2 and wanted to flash Jedi Mind Trick v6. Followed instructions to flash Darkside Super Wipe, then ROM, then Darkside cache wipe. Phone began to bootloop after showing the Deviant Developer boot image. I tried to do a full wipe with CWM recovery but it kept freezing on the cache wipe. When that failed I successfully restored a backup (AOKP JB-mr1_build-6) but was still experiencing a freeze with CWM anytime I tried to wipe. I thought that it might help to install TWRP so I installed goomanager and successfully installed the recovery from there but now I can't get into recovery at all (neither from CWM nor from TWRP). The AOKP is still working as well as it ever did but I'd like to reboot into recovery somehow and maybe even finish flashing Jedi Mind Trick v6. Does anyone have any idea what I may have done wrong here? I'm a relative noob and this is my first post so your patience is much appreciated. Thank you very much for any insight you might provide!

1) You used Darkside wipe with a version of CWM other than 5.xx.
2) You used Goo Manager.
Those are your problems. You need to Odin a recovery to fix it.
You can find a TWRP tar file here:
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/hercules
Get rid of Goo and Darkside.
