Two Kindles - Sideloading?

hey everyone, i have two kindle fire's. I recently rooted one and the other is still stock. i was wondering if anyone knew if it were possible to download a "kindle fire edition" game from the stock kindle and sideload/back it up on the rooted device. Might be a noob question, since i have no idea if you can even back up a amazon appstore app since i believe it doesn't actually deliver an apk when you install. any help/info would be appreciated. thanks.
I'm also open to any other methods of loading kindle fire edition apps on a rooted device if anyone knows of any...
I am assuming that you have tried to download the app directly from the Amazon store onto your rooted KF and for some reason it didn't work. So try using ES File Explorer. Put it on the unrooted KF. Back up the game using ES. That will create an apk file, then transfer the apk file to the rooted KF and install.

Interesting
I wasn't even aware i could use es to backup and create apk's... i'll try that a little later. thanks for the info.
nope
no luck. tried a couple different apps and neither worked... could have something to do with the drm on gameloft's games though. might try again with something else. if i have a recovery image of stock kindle and a recovery of cm7 can i switch to stock via twrp install, backup then recover to cm7? would that maybe work?
You can sideload games just fine on a KF. The problem is the DRM won't allow you to launch the games unless the second KF is also linked to your amazon account.
You can link your Android device to your Amazon account through Kindle reader...it might work to get around the DRM.
good to know... thanks for the info. just had a case of wishful thinking i guess. its not that hard to switch between recovery img's though. thanks

rooted Kindle Fire and TWCTV app

rooted my Kindle Fire and the TWCTV app will not work on rooted devices.
i have tried a couple things that I found online, but none worked for my KF.
i have tried renaming the superuser.apk that was a no go.
I have a Kindle Fires running jellybean 4.11 CM10
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

kindle fire hd 8.9 unrooted running really slow?

i have a kindle fire hd 8.9 and it started running real slow and freezing up. so i did a factory reset and it still seems to be running stupid? anyone have any idea why that would be? virus? one of my apps? aside from factory reset is there a better way to do a complete reset to the way i bought it?
I also had same kind of problems, please read
Yes, i know... it runs super-slow at times..... i have a cm11.0 (kitkat) based rom installed on my kindle fire hd 8.9!
It now runs superb.... okay, if u want the fire os then u have to root it to get speed.. but if still not then custom rom is the only way....
Don't worry, amazon warranty is not needed, i also never needed it... kindle fire hd 8.9 is superb tablet if unlocked to full potential....
So i have some links for u-
Youtube (best way)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUW6KARo8Y4
TWRP 2.6.3.1 (after youtube for installing cm11.0)- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2218802
CM 11.0 things (after youtube if u want)- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2543481&nocache=1
its easy, but never ever sikp even one step or ur kindle fire hd 8.9 is gone, otherwise it is very good and non-buggy!
DON'T WORRY
Clarification question: can this be done with the kindle fire HDX? Any reason that you know of where this would not work?
The hdx has no custom roms yet because the boot loader is locked and we haven't gotten around that yet, also it uses a different method to root it, so in short that tutorial won't work on a hdx, its more likely to brick it.

My 7 HD would run very slow a lot of the time. I downloaded Greenify:root from the play store and side-loaded it. I learned the slowness was always caused by one or more non-kindle services or apps (ones I side-loaded like the google authentication service. Greenify:Root let me force most of them to sleep, which usually solved any slowness immediately. On occasion I had to force the google auth. service to sleep manually, but again the problem always was solved this way. Your kindle has to be rooted to use this great free program.
Good-luck!

Root my original Kindle Fire to make an app compatible?

I have a Kindle Fire updated to 6.3.4 and had an app that I love using, but suddenly was told its incompatible with recent updates.
Is there a way to root the kindle and fool it into downloading the app from say Google Play Store?
I tried the method of rooting on here and it did not seem to work, but then again, I'm not the greatest at jailbreaking, rooting, etc
Thank you in advance for the answer.
