This mod, its made to remove the "Swipe to unlock" text from lockscreen

I don't get what you mean by set perms to 777. Is it done through some app like hexcode or something?

tried it with remix v9.4 + xxlph kernel = no dice. still the swipe to unlock text is showing.

How do I go about changing the permissions to 777. Sorry for my noob-ness.

thats permission 777 ...
use root explorer or some explorer with root rights, then hold on yeniframework-res.apk -> permissions

As soon as i try to paste, i loose root write.
Will not let me do it??

Touchwiz Nature UX(SGS)

Just tried touchwiz latest version and got it working with a few steps:-
1.firstly download the 2 files below.
2.then dowload lcd density app from market.
3.now move the lib file to system/lib(u can use root explorer) and set permissions to rw-r-r.
4.In the same way copy apk file to system/app and set permissions to rw-r-r.
5.Now open the lcd density app and set density to 210 dpi.
6.now reboot and select touchwiz launcher.
7.enjoy.

i did'nt tried it on GB ,,,,only tested on ics 4.0.4.,,,,,,i think it will only work on ics but u can try it.

You'd better to change lcs density, by entering build prop ( in system /)and setting it to 210 or whatever you want.

Works great, but there is a way to launch it without change the density? cuz it makes all my apps crash..

you have to put the lib file in system/lib and change the permission to rw-r-r
and put the apk file to system/apps and change the permission to rw-r-r too..

I do not know how to do that, all you have done is introduce to the folders that tells me.

Loaded on my SGS with CM9. Pretty slick. The folder system seems SO archaic, but it seems to run a heck of a lot smoother than NovaLauncher though.

Help I'm new to root explorer. When I try to set permissions to rw r r , It doesn't work can somebody show me how to set permissions to rw r r? Screenshots maybe...

New google bootanimation (htc one, s4 google edition)

Bootanimation.zip can be placed in /system/media with custom roms or in or /data/local with stock roms with custom kernels as Battery Extender, Cf-root...
So, mount system (R/W) and paste bootanimation.zip in system/media/ or in in /data/local/ and set the correct permissions rw--r--r-- (if it doesn't work set rwxrwxrwx as permissions

U have to paste it in system/media
Set permission (rw-r-r)
And rename it in bootanimation.zip
Press the thanks button in my post
And then reboot and watch the bootanimation

Thanks for that bootanimation It looks nice in screenshots..
But, even after renaming the zip to "bootanimation.zip" and copying it to /system/media and permissiorns to rw-r-r-, still samsung logo appears when I reboot.. Please help me! (i tried with "rwxrwxrwx" also)
I am using galaxy ace S5830(obviously rooted) stock rom with DDKQ8 baseband and cwm 5.something recovery...
And adding to the info, there wasn't any "bootanimation.zip" placed at that location(/system/media) before I copied it, just in case if there was supposed to be one...

english only... you need to flash the .zip package with the system through recovery and flash the ftf with just the kernel with the flashtool, once that it's not possible to create just one zip with system and kernel without get a bootloop

Use the root Explorer app, hold in the file and select permissions, check the same boxes than the original file

Nah, but im using right now this rom

[APP] Latest Stock Samsung Browser (From Note 5 System Dump)

Attached is the latest stock samsung browser (version 3.4.38) taken from the note 5 system dump.
It's definitely faster than the version that came with the S6 Edge!
