Touch screen won't work after Odin update - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

My touch screen won't work anymore after flashing I8150XXLM8_I8150OXXLC2_I8150XXLM8_HOME.tar via odin. anyone have the same issue? How to fix it?
The phone previously come from asia firmware.

have you tried flashing back your phone's original firmware?

Rear my thread again also the notification.
Short form would be:
1. Flash CWM(ClockWorkMod) as recovery.
2. backup current ROM.
3. Wipe everything.(but not SD cards)
4. Flash a ROM using ODIN
After this steps you have to test whether your touchscreen is working.

I suggest bringing your phone to Samsung Service Point

To recover soft brick, download the multi package ROM from the odin thread, follow the instructions using cmw to format system, cache and data then flash the multi package Rom, any region will do, I think there is a multi package Asian Rom.

I have download multi package ROM from the odin thread, but still not working. any other fixes?

could be hardware faulty bro... I think is better you flash it back to yr region stock rom and send it back to SSC , In Korea should be easier coz its "Local"

will try, thanks. But i still feel impossible that is hardware fault. Because, before i update, the touch is working perfectly without any problem, and i flash the firmware using the same procedure as provided.
Model: GT-I8150

Some time it just happen bro... in the right place & time

what I'm afraid is although same model phone but the internal hardware is slightly different, has happen before with other manufacturer, one case I know is Motorola defy, although same model some people got a different camera hardware thus some people experience camera not working when using different Rom, finally the developers figure it has two different camera hardware. It could be this case or you are really unlucky the screen broke at the same time you flash the phone.

Any way to Flash a CMW Firmware via Odin?

I want to try a ICS build rooted, but i cant install a CWM because my phone freeze (i try a lot of things, i have 2 thread a bout that but never found a solution) the only Version that work for me is de ICS,so, i want to install one rooted ICS via odin.Is that possible?
EDIT: sorry, i made a mistake with the title, i want a rooted rom ocustom rom (ICS) via odin
CWM ROMs will not install via Odin. Make sure the ROM is made for the Captivate Glide. If it isn't, it won't work. Make sure the ROM comes with a kernel built for ICS. When flashing the ROM, are there any errors shown in CWM?

I see that the Glides with problems are the rogers version, maybe something in software is not the samewith ATT.
first flash the GB kernel (use the overclocked, that was the one that i use), dont select any in odin (f reset for example), restart the phone manually and get back in odin onmediatly and flash the rooted rom. after that, the phone will boot in GB,now flashwit superoneclick ICS and follow the rest of the thread.
I dont know, but its works fine when i dont select any in odin (f reset, etc)

A much simpler way to root your phone is to just Odin clockworkmod recovery then wipe all and format all and flash a rooted ROM.. Takes 5 min

[Q] Recovery all stock?

Hey guys, how are you?
Sorry my bad english! But I need your help ...
I recently installed the Rom LiquidSmooth 4.2.2 Android 4.2.2 to test itself, not LiquidSmooth, found it very nice and everything. But back to the factory settings with the stock ROM 4.0.4 and I upgrade by Kies and pff, my phone can not do updates by Kies. Samsung tried my country (Brazil) but they can not support (or paying for and also not aware of devices outside) for my I747 ... I did the emergency recovery firmware and now it's on 4.1.1 but it still remains unrecognized by Kies (NOTE: It is recognized rather as SGH-I747, however, can not do updates or anything, just back of the device; NOTE 2: I bought it at AT & T in the United States and I can not take you there to support). The mesangem is: "Your device does not support firmware upgrade via kies".
After getting well pissed off with this bull****, or my **** (haha) decided to find out what was wrong and found that some of the things LiquidSmooth is still in the system, such as ringtones, facebook layout and stuff ... (Print the end of the topic) .
So I come here asking for help to you, to completely reset it and go back to having all functions and patterns of manufactures, so that in future I can sell it or give it to my mom and she does not get lost as I am today ...
Is there any way I can do this completely and return it to factory defaults?
attempts:
- I went back to stock rom several times and still the same thing;
- I tried the firmware recovery Kies and nothing;
- I tried several tutorials on the internet and nothing.
Can anyone help me?
I literally am going crazy because of it ...
Diego.

How did you go back to stock? You'll get errors from kies and ota updates by remaining rooted.
By the sounds of it it just needs a proper wipe the unroot.
This video will get you back to 100% stock unrooted.

best unroot video ever.
OP, to accompany the video guide, you'll need:
- Triangle Away installed
- The official stock firmware for your device
- Odin installed on your PC
- Your Samsung USB cable, if possible
- Samsung drivers installed on PC

So when I went back to stock:
1. I just flashed a rooted stock firmware in odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426
(just so I was back on a 4.1.1 stock rom. I didn't want to odin from a custom rom)
2. Then used triangle away
3. Then flashed the stock unrooted 4.0.4 from here in odin
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
(This gets rid of custom recovery)
4. Booted in stock recovery and then did a factory reset because you sometimes get a simple bootloop
5. Rebooted and I was back to stock.
I've noticed sometimes you have to switch the order around some to get it unrooted and the flash counter reset. Triablge away is for right before you unroot. You have to flash a stock .tar rom in odin to get rid of the custom recovery as well. It replaces the system, kernel, and the recovery.

Are you sure you did the steps in the right order ? Kies won't do that unless you are still rooted or have a custom recovery. I
Kies has no use here to be honest but I know some people like to use it to upgrade from time to time or transfer data.
What exactly is the emergency recovery firmware ? (Your name for it might be different than mine)

Note II (n7100) - Constant freezing and rebooting

Hi,
Have a Note II as an alternative phone. Apparently, the phone worked correctly until last month. It started to reboot, not too much, but it happened. Well, I tried to give a solution changing the ROM (when it started with the problem I was in 4.4.2 OmniROM). My first try was with Omega ROM, cause it was my first custom ROM when I bought the phone with 4.1.2 in, but the problem persist (maybe increment the number of reboots-freezes/day) so I changed it again to Android Revolution HD, but it only increment the reboots/freezes.
It seems that it's not a ROM installation problem or something like that, maybe it's a hardware problem, but I would like to hear your opinions about it.
Now the phone have:
TWRP recovery
Rooted
Android Revolution HD
I am thinking on put the stock ROM and bootloader with Odin. What do you think?
Thanks!
Could you enter recovery, format /system /data /cache and flash clean Omni > reboot >reboot to recovery >flash Gapps> reboot and observe without installing any apps. Until it freezes or reboots anyway.
My dad also has note 2,he had the same problem on many different roms.
He had to give it back to repair. They've replaced power button and something else, after that the phone seems normal.

Hi mat9v,
Thanks for your reply. I am in the office now, but I will try it as soon as I can. I thought on your suggestion too, so I will give a chance .
In case of it does not working, if I restore to stock ROM, will it restore the bootloader and recovery automatically too?
My actual bootloader if I am not wrong, is MJ5 bootloader (to fix the WiFi problems with custom ROMs in 4.3).
Thanks!

Yes, it will overwrite both bootloader and recovery, unroot and so on. Be careful with KNOX and look for TriangleAway to reset flash status to factory.

If you want to return the phone to service center you mast be careful to maintain KNOX status 0 and Software status: Factory or they may refuse to fix the phone (warranty void by messing with software) - it's not such a big deal here in Europe but in US there are some stupid rules like that. So long as you remain on MJ5 bootloader you should have no problem with KNOX when you flash Samsung firmware but Firmware status: Modified vs Factory require using TriangleAway program to reset specific counters. Find it on Playstore and follow the link there to explanation on how to proceed.

Hi mat9v,
Just fyi, I am from Europe . So this mean that I should check if Firmware status is "Modified" or "Factory" and KNOX = 0. In case of it is "Modified" (most probably right?) or KNOX = 1 or more, I must use TriangleAway to reset the counters.
That's okay, thank you all for your help . I will try and give my feedback asap!

You can't reset KNOX counter if you are on a bootloader newer than MJ5 (it's been tested that on MJ5 you can deal with it by flashing earlier firmware along with older bootloader). More info HERE

To check bootloader install "Info" by Nag from Playstore and look in OS category.
Yes, but it will flash bootloader newer than MJ5 I think (MJ9 if my memory serves me right) and you may not be able to set KNOX to 0. Also you must play with TriangleAway before flashing stock 4.3 because it does not work on stock (root required).
Since you are in Europe, it should not matter too much (according to European law) so if someone makes any heat just say that it a law

Yes, and it is probably the reason for Android Revolution problems. If I remember correctly it is a 4.3 rom and they have compatibility problems with older bootloaders - the results are random reboots and freezes (there is a lot about it in Phoenix rom thread). To comfortably use TW 4.3 rom it's best to update bootloader to MJ5. AOSP roms should not be affected though so I suppose that there was some other cause for this. You can flash 4.1.2 on this bootloader without issue, be mindful to safeguard data from your internal sdcard as you may loose them all.
I would advise testing standard 4.1.2 version and if everything works fine, flashing something new (with MJ5 bootloader for compatibility sake).

I am trying to reset the counter but it still shows "1" (before this, it showed "7"). Do you know why can't get to fully reset it?
Thanks!

To fully reset the counter it has to be done in certain order. I do not remember exactly in which order the sequence of events should proceed but it went something like this:
- run triangle away
- reboot
- enter download mode (odin version)
- flash stock rom
If you reboot even once to custom rom (this I'm certain) or even custom recovery (I think) the triangle away effect will be gone and the count returns to 1 because it detects custom rom/kernel.

[Q] Samsung Note 2 N7100 Soft-Bricked (Solutions not working)

My Samsung note 2 won't move from the boot screen. It does boot into recovery when I press the buttons but it won't mount any files. Sideloading works through ADB but then that's just about it as it gives me errors. Tried to use Odin to unbrick it but it keeps giving me errors. What do I do? How do I unbrick my phone? I have posted a screenshot of the errors I am getting. Can someone please advise on what I should do?

I have almost a same situation here with my brothers phone. I don't know why, but every time he manages to brick it like that. When booting into recovery from rom (power menu), it crashes the phone and it gets in a bootloop trying to get into the recovery.
What I did:
- Reflash recovery through odin (odin succes, phone fail)
- Reflash recovery through odin and erase nand (same...)
The only fix I found was to flash the stock rom and nand erase through odin, then flash the recovery (twrp 2.8.6.0), erase almost everything (sys, data, cache) and flash custom rom.
Looking at your pic, after nand write it fails, it could be that your nand chip is dead, and if it is like that, move to an other phone, it isn't worth to get a new mobo for your phone, those things cost more than 100 euro and a great new phone would get about 250 from you (like that asus zenfone, I think that is the one you should aim for if you want mid class to high class phones)

The firmware you trying to flash xxalj3 (saw at screenshot) is very old 4.1.1 with sds bug also. Probably your phone has newer bootloader and 4 this you can't flash it, download latest firmware from Sammy and try again.

Got my phone to start working again after I installed a new eMMC. However when I updated it to a 4.4.2 Stock ROM, it won't register on to the network.

IMEI is the same as the one on the phone. I believe I must have installed the wrong ROM. I installed the N7100XXUFNL1 one which said Pakistan but then now that I checked it again, I found out it was for Nigeria, UAE, etc (which share the same CSC). Now I am downloading the N7100XXUFND4 one. Hope it makes a difference. I did backup my IMEI etc incase there is an issue.

Samsung had made efs partition update when released 4.3 if I remember well. This update was making by the kernel when was flashing the fw was updating the efs too. If you haven't flash original firmware via odin 4.3 or later probably your efs is not updated. Try to flash original fw via odin, I think it will work.

No ROMs for SM-T807R4, correct?

This is the US Cellular version which I bought used by mistake on Ebay (the description said wifi and the seller had a no return policy.) It's been fine for my wife who mainly watches movies on long flights but since the MM update, browsing (or anything using the touchscreen) has been difficult due to the screen freezing every couple minutes. Closing and opening the case unfreezes it, as does hitting the power button twice.
I have recently rooted it and disabled a bunch of apps but that has not cured the problem. I don't even know if it's hardware or software but I'd like to try another ROM on the chance that it fixes the problem. As far as I can tell, there are no ROMs for this (snapdragon) variation which I guess isn't a surprise since it wasn't a big seller. Just looking for confirmation that there are no aftermarket ROMs or a link if there are. Thanks.
Phoenix Rom and Iron Rom was the Roms I had used on it. For the freezing I'll suggest u download the full firmware from samobile and with twrp recovery wipe system, data, internal memory and cache like three times before you flash the firmware to it through Odin

You used the Iron ROM on the US Cellular version? The T807R4?
I'm going to flash TWRP, wipe a couple times, then flash the official Samsung MM firmware. It's 1.7GB. Any idea how long that will take? When I rooted it was a pretty small file, 30MB, and it seemed to take longer than I would have thought.
Thanks for your help.

So the T805/T807 variations all have a Snapdragon processor?

T805 is not Snapdragon but Exynos. This I can confirm for sure since I own the device. T807 variants should be Snapdragon if this article from Wikipedia is to be believed: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_S_10.5

I thought ROMs were processor specific, i.e., a ROM built for an Exynos processor would not work on a Snapdragon. Is that incorrect?

Roms for T805 does work on T807, only the call out don't work but can receive a call [emoji338] in. All u need to do is after flashing twrp use it to backup boot, Moden, EFS, and radio but only boot backup will do though. And then restore the backup on any T805 rom u install to get mobile network. And when I say T805 rom I don't mean the stock firmware in Odin flash

I don't care about the phone functions, the tablet is only used for email, web browsing and watching movies.
When I start TWRP, the backup options are boot, cache, data, system and something else. Nothing about modem, EFS or radio. So if I backup boot, then wipe and flash another ROM, do I need to restore the boot backup or does the ROM contain the bootloader also?
Thanks for your help. I have flashed ROMs on Motorola phones but never on a Samsung device.

I tried to install two different ROMs with TWRP and it gave me an error message each time because my device name did not match the device name in the install file, chagallte vs chagalltespr. Then I tried to install what should have been the stock ROM and it failed also. No error message other than failed flashing zip.
Help!

I tried IronROM and got the same error message: could not install because the ROM was for chagalllte and my device is chagallltespr. Guess I have to go back to stock. I tried to install with TWRP. Would it be any different with Odin?

I believe it depends on the carrier in the US that your tablet was made from. Mine was from T-mobile US and was quite OK to flash iron rom and Phoenix. Yours might not work

I think you're right. There's just no support for the US Cellular version. I have restored the original Samsung software and will not spend any more time on this device. Thanks for your help.
