Was on stock. Managed to get into sense once but phone crashed again and went back to bootloop. Spoke to HTC who refused to help so called carphone warehouse as last attempt and they said even tho their returns is 28 days and I've had it 31 days they would still exchange it. Now have a new handset and fingers crossed. Thanks for your care in my fault.

Stock? Rooted?
Try reading this thread.
This could be a faulty motherboard, take the battery out fro half a hour and then put it back in and see if it boots. If it does I would return the phone asap, if you still can.
This thread should have some more info on the faulty motherboard.

Well, I assume that if you don't even now what rooted or stock is, you have not done any modifications to your phone.
If that's the case, you have normal warranty and should just send you phone to HTC.

I have a new AT&T One X.
I have tried all I know to do with my limited experience. I rooted and unlocked. I tried restoring Ti Backup from old phone. Got stuck in boot loop.
I've tried flashing cwm and reflashing kernel and clearing cache.
Now I can't get anything but screen that says "htc quietly brilliant This build is for development purposes only....."
Any help would be greatly appreciated for next step.
Thank you.

Try AT&T One X forum.... Have you flashed anything from One X forum???
If I am repeating this topic I am sorry and if somebody could put me to the right spot I would be very grateful.
Today i followed this gude:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069904
and used the toolkit added:
where i unlocked the bootloader installed the superuser and recovery TWRP 2.3.3.0
I made a backup and proceeded to flash an Cyanogenmod 10. After which i flashed a boot.img kernel from the rom zip.
Everything went smooth but when i rebooted i got stuck at the HTC screen
Since than i tried restoring the backup an sideloading the icejellybean but to no avail. Everything goes according to protocol but i always get stuck at the htc screen. I am in desperate need for help. What am i doing wrong?
Hboot version? If it's higher than 1.28 you need to flash the boot from post 9308 in cm10 thread.

You men are life savers!
Started the rom with no problems now
As you can tell i a real noob and i have a lot of catching up to do
As always, I forgot to mention that GPS is broken on that boot.img, so if you need to use GPS, I recommend you to switch to some other ROM.

CASE SOLVED!
Its no general rule........its my rule
Guys I am not a One X user but I am palaning to buy one. However, I wanted to ask that how do you guys switch it off if phone gets into a bootloop or gets stuck at splash screen as One X comes with nonremovable back batteruly cover.
I have Sensation XL currently and I pull battery out if I get stuck on splash screen or get into bootloops.
What is the work around if such situation happens?
Thanks you.

A long press of power button simulates a battery pull.

What did you do to make it stuck?
Flash a ROM? Which ROM?
Did you flash boot.img?
What is your hboot version?
What is your CID?
hi
few weeks ago I found my hox turned off I tried turning it on but it didn't so I plug it in the charger and waited.
at first the red light was blinking and I waited until it was steady and I tried to boot it and it did! but it never booted to the OS and stuck in a loop until I got frustrated so I turned the phone off and tried to boot again but this time it didn't
no mater what I did it didn't turned on and the the red charging light didn't get on no matter what I did (changed chargers)
so I lost all hope and putted it away.
few days later I tried again and the same thing happen it charged booted stuck on loop didn't turned on again until the buttery is fully drained
any one have an idea what could be the problem?

If you can't even get to bootloader I am sorry to say...it's a brick.
I have a HTC 10 EVO that out of the blue just started a boot loop..
I have tried to make a facoty reset from the download boot menu, that did not help.
Afterwards i have tied to unlock the phone with fastboot and htc dev home page, but i can't get the unlock code from the phone.
Is there anyway save the phone.
Kind regards
Jens Peter

Dead/dying battery.
Only real solution would be to have it replaced with a new one.

Hmm, to bad if true - the battery seams to working ok before the boot loop.
