If I am repeating this topic I am sorry and if somebody could put me to the right spot I would be very grateful.
Today i followed this gude:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069904
and used the toolkit added:
where i unlocked the bootloader installed the superuser and recovery TWRP 2.3.3.0
I made a backup and proceeded to flash an Cyanogenmod 10. After which i flashed a boot.img kernel from the rom zip.
Everything went smooth but when i rebooted i got stuck at the HTC screen
Since than i tried restoring the backup an sideloading the icejellybean but to no avail. Everything goes according to protocol but i always get stuck at the htc screen. I am in desperate need for help. What am i doing wrong?
Hboot version? If it's higher than 1.28 you need to flash the boot from post 9308 in cm10 thread.

Started the rom with no problems now
As you can tell i a real noob and i have a lot of catching up to do
As always, I forgot to mention that GPS is broken on that boot.img, so if you need to use GPS, I recommend you to switch to some other ROM.

Guys I am not a One X user but I am palaning to buy one. However, I wanted to ask that how do you guys switch it off if phone gets into a bootloop or gets stuck at splash screen as One X comes with nonremovable back batteruly cover.
I have Sensation XL currently and I pull battery out if I get stuck on splash screen or get into bootloops.
What is the work around if such situation happens?
Thanks you.

So I got an S3 and am trying to wipe my HTC One X so I can sell it and when I did a factory wipe from the recovery I now can no longer boot into the device. It just sits at the "Android" screen after the HTC Logo. I was running the Android Revolution Rom prior to restoring the device. Whats the best way to resolve this hang up? I looked it up some but most stuck boots are on the HTC Logo and nothing past it.
I uploaded a shot of what im talking about. Any help would be appreciated.

Go.into hboot mode, and choose fastboot. And then, do 'fastboot oem lock'
Then download the corresponding RUU for your phone, and run it. It will be stock. But people can still know that you unlocked your bootloader. And download the CORRESPONDING RUU. THE WRONG ONE COYLD BRICK IT!

Alright then, be sure to hit the thanks button.
You unlocked bootloader, installed cwm, and flashed supersu.zip, correct? Everything went smoothly until then? And now your phone doesn't switch on?
Have you tried holding power, or holding power and volumedown?
Can you see a led when connecting to a charger?
How about windows device manager? Can you see anything there when plugging phone in? Plug in sound?

So basically, I installed Elementalx onto my one x running viperxl 2.4.1, and now my phone wont boot into recovery. I had gotten the splashscreen as the phone started, then the screen went black, and now it wont boot. Recovery won't work when holding down the power and down volume button, it will show the htc splash, but then it will cut to another black screen, then a green led will flash once. Phone will not show an led when plugged in. I tried adb reboot but the device cannot be detected. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hmm no detection by pc is not so good. Keep it in the usb to the pc for a while.....if its not showing any signs of life with all sorts of button combinations here is not much you can do
Edit : overlooked the adb thing you tried. Sorry for that
Ow another pointer, you are actually in the wrrong forum. This is not for the htc one XL.
The phone is actually a one x, just running viperxl. And when i hold the power button, the soft buttons still flash as normal. Removing HTC sync, hopefully a reboot can fix something!

You MUST NEVER run a Rom on your phone that is not ment for your phone !!! You have ENDEAVOURU on top of the bootloader ? And you flashed a rom for the htc one XL EVITA type phone !
Biggest mistake ever mate.....you possibly bricked your own phone with this.
you are sure you have the quad-core international HTC one X ? Then you only flash roms that are in this forum. The HTC one XL is a dual-core phone which is completely different
I have the dual core US one x. I have been using viper xl since at least october with very few problems rather than battery life.

So its not a one x.....its a HTC one XL. And then you are in the WRONG forum. Know your phone and forum
But as i said, if its not booting to the bootloader, or responding to buttons there is not much we can do
Alright well thanks for the help. Considering that I can't get into the phone even through command prompts, do you think there's still a possibility of getting a replacement from AT&T? I'm still under the extended warranty and I doubt they could find out that it's rooted, right?

TWRP 2.4.3.0 boot error
Hi guys, i have an HTC One X on which i have also flashed the latest recovery (2.4.3.0) The process goes fine but for some reason i cannot boot into Recovery once flashed. I have re-installed the previous version which work flawlessly. I think there's a bug in the code somewhere, i cant figure out any other possibilities since the older version works fine...even 2.4.1.0.
If anyone finds a fix, please post or let us know. Cheers.
Dont post it here, post it in the twrp thread. They can provide better info on this
Good day everybody!
My device is:
HTC One X
CID: T-MOB101
HBOOT: 1.36.0000
BL: UNLOCKED
it started after sending ADB command (adb reboot recovery) to phone while it was ON. Phone turned off, just after several minutes it turned on. But not recovery. Since that it takes about 10-20 minutes to reboot or turn on phone (just black screen after POWER button pressed or RESTART command given). And it's heating. I can enter bootloader by pressing POWER and VOLUME- key, and holdin VOLUME- key until it turns on screen. After that I flashed HBOOT by entering RUU mode, but no result. If someone had this problem before, please I need help!

Did you try the One X all in one kit?
Try this, put the phone in the bootloader and perform this fastboot command
Fastboot erase cache
Then unhook the usb cable and enter the recovery.

Probably, you didn't understand me...
I can enter bootloader, I can enter recovery, I can flash ROM, I can even enter RUU mode to flash HBOOT and I can erase CACHE. I've tried them ALL!
The problem is - whenever phone goes to restart it won't turn on for about 10-20 minutes, just black screen and heating. After 10-20 minutes screen turns on and HTC logo appears for 3-5 minutes, then starts loading of OS.
If you haven't see it before, you won't understand...
I sense a hardware fault here...

Sorry about it... I'm so nervous because of phone...This is first time when I can't solve problem by myself.
So, what you advice to do with phone?
Well as V said, its likely a hardware failure at some point. You say you tried it all, no avail !
The only thing you can try once more is a factory reset from the bootloader. After that its off for repair. Try to get the phone to stock if you still can with the stock nandroid backup, stofk recovery and relock the bootloader. Best chance of claiming warranty.
yes,now it happen to me..grrrr.. after i use camera, suddenlly its stuck..so i off the phone, after thats,i try on again but screen is going black..i can t do anythings...cant..1st time happen to me..
I had something similar..since jb I can not boot with the normal 1500 mhz...if I boot the phone gets hot and restart ..I reflashed a ics..I can boot with 1500 again...so I made a kernel that boot with 1300. Mhz now all is Okey again...maybe its worth to try..look in my signature the s e kernel

Hold vol down, then press and release power button.
But you won't find too many useful options in the stock recovery aside from factory reset and wipe cache. Which are worth a try (obviously, you will lose your data if you factory reset) but not necessarily fix anything (and I'd say its pretty unlikely to help).
