[Q]Could Anyone Provide A Procedure Of Flashing Firmware? - HTC One X

Thanks for spending time to view my post.
First of all, my one x has been rooted perfectly.
And now i am going to flashing a ROM titled "Android Revolution HD 5.1.0 | ICS | High Quality & Performance | 1.29.401.7".
However, it needs to flash a firmware that i don't know what it is.
After read it's information, i got 3 question.
1ST: What is CID, MID?
2ND: How can i view the CID, MID?
3RD: How can i flash the firmware?

here threads to start u of

It's all useless. Better Root your device and install custom ROM.
I have tested this ROM Sabsa Prime v4.1 | 4.0.3 . works awesome.
If you need any guidance to root your device contact me.

[Q] Can I install ARHD 3.0.0 on my 1.28.1400.5 ?

Yeees I am sorry but my head is going to explode soon from trying to single reasonable post about this matter.
So I have been trying to read the threads about instaling the ARHD rom for One X but I am just so confused right now, add to that my own confusion with the abilities of my China HTC.
First, do I have to flash the 1.26.401.2 firmware package to be able to install this ROM? My build is 1.28.1400.5 which is a China one. Can I even install this rom?
Second, If I dont have to install the firmware do I just perform SuperWipe and flash the ROM?
Thanks!

Correct, just superwipe and flash, the 1.26 firmware was only needed for pre 1.26 shipped phones

[Q] Update Problem

Hi,
I bought my HTC One X few months ago. And I didn't receive an update yet. When I was waiting for 4.1 JB update I see that my version is very old and I cannot even make a software update check. I don't have that menu in about section.
This my first post so I can't send screanshots but menu looks like that ABOUT>Software Information>
android version 4.0.3
HTC Sense version 4.0
Software Number 1.29.401.7 (Unlocked with HTCDev)
I searched the forum and can not find a solution for this please help.
Thanks
if you dont have the option it means you have a custom rom installed
make a backup of your phone
flash 1.29.401.7 ruu.
EDIT: and dont ever post questions again outside the questions forum

There may not be any updates since then. Jellybean is only just being officially released and isn't even released in most places.

Your phone should be on custom ROM as it do not owned a uodate check button.
You need to determine where your phone origin from by checking CID. Grab cid getter from play store or via fastboot fastboot getvar cid.
Then re-lock bootloader and flash the corresponding RUU to return to stock.
Kindly search and read some tutorials to learn before asking.
Am I right in saying that you bought your One X second hand, as obviously your bootloader has been unlocked via HTCDev
And searching under Android Development brings you right to this collection of all info that one might need:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832891
Jelly Been Android 4.1 is only available for certain Hboot versions
You cand find yours by power down your device, wait a few seconds, then press Power and Vol- together and keep holding until you get to the bootloader screen.
From there you can select the recovery and see if that is installed, if not or you don't have the latest recovery installed follow this :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592355
Obviously you are already unlocked so you can follow with installing your fastboot folder as described in the last thread and then install Clockworkmod 5.8.4.0 which is the latest...then do a nandroid back up of your current ROM and follow the guides to re-lock your One X, install the stock recovery for your current ROM, then run the apropriate RUU of which after you have the latest stock ROM for your fone and carrier.
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING MAKE SURE YOUR One X IS FULLY CHARGED
I don't know how to unlock again as you won't have the initial Unlock Token mail from HTCDev...so maybe it is better to just stay with stock. So read read read and understand before you jump in! Have fun
And before byuing a second hand device next time make sure it runs all stock stuff, and if not, that you get also all documentation related to to the device you plan to purchase.

That's true. However if he is using a custom Rom it should be on 4.0.4

[Q] how to flash a ROM

I have DHD and I read about installing a new rom.
Its all have "flash the ROM" as I dont know how ,and what do I have to use for.
I search and didnt find any thread guiding step by step,so can you help ?
The thread right below yours. Read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30007255
Keep in mind it needs to be updated since the aahk (ace hack kit) has been retired and is only for advanced users - in case you are not rooted.

Thanks,In case I have a ROM (jelly bean) I still have two questions:
1-how to know if the rom is customized for GSM
2-how to check the validity of the rom before installing

1. If it's a ROM for this phone it's GSM. Don't flash other phones' ROMs.
2. Md5sums, or open up the zip and see if it's readable.

Using the Search feature, the download link for the WWE Oreo release can still be found in multiple threads on here and via Google, all asking for the same RUU.
They all point you to this link:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939830809
No idea what you mean about v7, as that doesn't really make any sense to me.
That's not a software version for an HTC 10.
But the above link is what you seek.

Batteries all degrade over time...(sadly, 2 years seems to be the current average for most cell batteries these days and then they slowly go down hill)
My opinion, is that timing just happened to fall in line with the Oreo release for most HTC 10 devices.

Look at main version in download mode.
Third set of numbers indicates the region/carrier.
WWE uses x.xx.401.x
US Unlocked uses x.xx.617.x
Verizon uses x.xx.605.x
And so on....
Third set of numbers in the main version are what you look at for variant.
First number indicates whether it is Marshmallow(1), Nougat(2), Oreo(3), etc.
All this info is previously available in the forums here, including how to flash it from SD card.
No offense, but I don't wanna rewrite what's already been written many many times.
Follow this guide for flashing, same rules apply to RUU, as they do for firmware.
I suggest using the SD card method, in your case.
