[Q] App icons and multitasking problems - HTC One X

Hi
I've had my HTC One X for amost a month and I absolutely love it.
However, I've encountered a few issues with my phone.
Firstly, whenever I restart my phone or power off and turn it back for some reason the icons of some of the apps that I've added to the homescreen either display the green android icon in its place or the icon of the app is showing what it should but the name underneath the icon disappears. On eway to overcome this problem is to delete the icon from the homescreen and re-add but this becomes a bit tedious after awhile.
The other issue I have is the multitasking. More often than not, when I'm switching between apps it often restarts the app rather than leave it where I left off. This is quite irritating at times. When I had my HTC Desire, which served me well for 2 years, I never had this problem. Apps will stay open and not restart. Is this an ICS, HTC One X or is there something wrong with my phone.
Has anyone else had the two problems that I've outlined.
My phone is Grey, HT23. Fortunately I do not see the corruption banding problem on my screen.
Thanks in advance

Messaging App just appears sometimes...

Has anyone ever had this happen before? I'm getting it a few times a week...
I'll be working on something and all of the sudden the top and bottom curtains change. It will say Messaging at the top with the X at the top right corner and then give two soft key button options at the bottom curtain. I can't remember what they were, but I'm thinking Delete and Menu. It just randomly pops up with no window. I can click the X and it goes away. But what is the deal?
I believe this is a problem with sense 2.x I had this problem on my tp2 when I upgraded and flashed roms, and my wifes tp2 with the stock update. one of the many reasons I switched the phones back to tf3d... that and the memory leak issue with every single instance of sense 2.x
its a nice shell, but its just too buggy, and it doesnt really lend itself to productivity.
This happens to me on my stock Tilt 2 all the time. Even after a few hard resets.
I thought it was just my TP2 that had this issue.
I've deactivated Sense 2.1 on my unbranded HTC standard 6.5 ROM but the messaging window (top and tailed) still appears.
I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that I have the phone set up to check for emails every x minutes and that is when the window 'overlays' the existing screen being viewed.
If someone knows a fix, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I always thought it was because I deleted tmail.exe from my startup programs...

[Q] Strange behaviour of HTC widgets (stacked on top of each other)

Something funny, don't know if anybody has seen this....
On my main screen I have the WiFi & Mobile widgets from HTC.
on the third screen (swipe to the right) i have those widgets in exaactly the same location.
But no wthe funny thing..... I was having trouble with my mobile data connection so i wiped the phone. Then i put the widgest on the same place and everything is working fine. I try to repair my mobile data connection in various ways so plenty of reboots.
Then i decided to see hwat's going on inside and i installed logcat. After doing this, the widgets didn't respond anymore. I could tick them but they would not change. However i could see wifi coming on in the status bar so every thing seemed to work execpt for the widget itself beeing updated.
Getting bored with the widget I decided to remove the widget. But after removal, another one (on the same position) was still visible. I removed that one too. Exactly the ssame happened with mij mobile widgget.
I have seen this "stacking of widgets on top of each other" so far with the contacts widget, agenda widget, wifi widget, and mail widgets......
Has anybody seen this.
So my phone was in working order again couple of reboots later i decided to install bugreport to again see what was going on insid ethe log...
Same behaviour.....
I Deinstalled them and have not seen this behaviour again..... but i wonder what's causing this behaviour
some times when I close services / apps etc.. system ones.. I get wigits on top of each other on one page , I thing scroll to the next page .. lock my phone ,,, and unlock it.. everything is back to normal ...

(I'm the one who have the problem..)
Hi,
My original HOX had this issue along with a battery over heating issue. I thought the screen probel was due to the battery getting to hot. I have since swapped it out and the new one does not have the above issue. However I now have screen flex issue
I also have this problem but a lot worse it happens atleast 20times a day it seems to start when using the HTC browser while viewing flash websites like call of duty .com when screen starts to mess up the keyboard does not load correctly if you press the opitions button at top of browser it either flicker and pixels all over drop down menu to the point that you can not see the menu if I try to watch a YouTube video when this happens I get horrible green pixel covering half the screen and flickers constantly I tried to take screenshots but when viewing them they were normal no pixels shown i also need help please should I return the handset or is it a fixable bug?
I'm using HTC one x quad core on stock Rom bootloader locked THREE UK network
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Should these problems have been fixed by applying OTA update?
It seems that the stock browser cause this.

Screen with dead pixels? Xperia S

Hi Everyone,
I sometimes have this issue, I don´t know if it´s a hardware or software problem, as you can see in the picture (on top to the left) seems like pixels die for a short period of time.
It happened before with ICS, but now with JB it happens more often. It only goes with a reboot or sometimes it just goes away.
Please, let me know if there´s anything I can do about it.
Regards.
FA
If these were dead pixels they wouldn't show on a screenshot.
Can't help you any further but it's definitely not your screen.
Looks like one of those Small Apps automagically launching, freezing and staying on top. Do you have any unusual apps installed?
It's weird, sometimes happens with games, with a phone call, camera, etc... I haven't identified any particular app that causes this.
I have tried uninstalling some apps that show notifications on that area but it doesn't work.
You can be sure those aren't bad pixels though.
If it's happening often and you can't get rid of it, just create a backup and re-flash the phone
I just realized that it's a messy app: SwypePad
As soon as I stopped it, this problem is gone.
Thanks for your comments.

Weird screen cluttering when trying to open camera

Hello,
Today me and a friend of mine noticed something really weird on the Nexus 5X. If you have the factory default wallpaper enabled (the one that appears on the box of the phone) and try to access the camera while the screen is locked the top of the screen starts to clutter.
In order to observe this you have to have:
1) The wallpaper set to the factory default one.
2) The phone locked.
Then you have to start dragging the camera icon at the lower right corner of the screen slowly without releasing. At some you will notice that a small portion at the top of the screen starts to clutter and display weird colors. At first I thought that this a hardware related issue (faulty screen) but I have verified that the same thing happen on other devices as well. Setting the wallpaper to any other, other than the default one seems to not cause this.
Both phones I tested this on where running Android 6.0.1 and had all the latest updates installed. I know this is something really minor and mostly unnoticeable but it would be really nice to know what could cause this.
I would never have noticed this if it weren't for this thread. It seemed to only happen with the default wallpaper as stated by the OP. Most people would never notice this because they customize the wallpaper and probably never use the camera shortcut on the lock screen.
