Alright, I have a couple questions with the Desire Z from the Canadian provider Bell.
I am out to buy one in a matter of hours and I want to know (and most likely reassure that I have a plan to fall back to) that I am able to restore my Desire Z to its original stock ROM, and unlock the perma-root.
However, I am really uncertain; I've found a ROOT/UNROOT thread on the Desire Z.
Does it update if the firmware is out of date, and where's the Bell Stock ROM?

I apologize in advance if I may have missed the thread of the ROM.
Well as long as you get the orginal stock rom that came with the phone it will update it self then ask you to install the update but that from my knowledge.

Oh, Really?
By the way, thanks for the fast reply.
...my one v was having signal issues so I exchanged it for another ($100 back too, Radio Shack having a black friday deal, haha) and I want to go ahead and root & flash but I've been reading a lot about the update. Right now my software version is 1.08.652.6. There's an update available to get me to 1.08.652.11.
if i update will it screw me in terms of flashing roms & kernels?
Why's it matter if you want to flash another ROM anyways? Don't do the ota update who knows.

just read about some people having issues with custom ROMs & kernels concerning the update... and then some not having issues. so that's why i was asking. fairly new issue i guess.
As title states, now official JB is rolling out am I right in thinking it will be easier to update to newer custom JB Roms from another custom?
Or will I have to go stock to update HBOOT??
Forgive my nooby state, I have just sold my IPhone

When updates come out more CIDs will be available. You can check your CID with CID getter. You may as well stay stock for now if you are new and do a bit of reading

You have to go back to stock to update your hboot. and then only you will be able to flash any JB based sense rom.
Oops guess I should mention I am already on ordroid and HBOOT 1.31

Hey there!
I just received my Official JB OTA for CID - HTC_622.
My hboot is now 1.36.
Is that mean I freely flash any JB rom? Such as ARHD etc.
Yup knock yourself out
Have fun flashing!!!
And have a nice day
Please read and understand all the basic thing first. After that, happy flashing!

Hello to all that had taken time to read this I appreciate your help, today i have tried several roms, cyanogem mod 7 and 10, also a version of ICS that did not support the camera. I have found this thread on XDA developers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846304
on that thread they also recommended this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923669
I have yet to learn on how to flash the firmware that would by my first question to you.
What are the steps to properly flash the firmware of my HTC Inc 2 ?
reading that thread I noticed that a lot of people had problems with wifi and data and some did not, Im willing to give it a try but what im looking for is a stable Rom for my device wich brings me to question #2
What is the best ICS mod available for HTC Droid Incredible 2 (vivow)
My recovery is clockworkmod 5.0.2.0, right now the phone is running the cyanogenmod 7.2, idk what other info would be useful but im happy to answer any questions
Read the op in the first thread you linked. It gives instructions on flashing firmware. And check the other which rom is best threads. This has been addressed numerous times.

Please tell us about your setup. Are you dev unlocked, s-off? Verizon phone? What rom?
Did you wipe your cache and delvik cache too?
Note: I may have spelled that wrong.
