In cygwin, make sure you didn'tselect all. If you do, it downloads and installs all packages.

Find a video on YouTube about how to install cygwin. It'll guide you to select the necessary packages.
The full version of cygwin is with a size about 3.xx GB.
you'd better select the things you need to download.

Trust me, Superoneclick doesn't need a tutorial, it's litteraly 1 click.
If you really need one check this site: *click*
And don't blindly trust ivano949, the package he posted was uploaded 9 h ago (virus?).
Nothing against you ivano but you can't blindly trust anyone on the internet.
Oh ya, make sure your USB debugging is on...
Not that it matters all that much, all you're gonna get is an error.

Oh man, my file is not a virus, it's just the classic Update.zip I modified the updater-script for 5660L model. In Italy we have a lot of 5660V model and you only change a letter in that file to make it work...
But you are right, trust no one expecially on the web

Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide or tutorial or anything telling me how i would go about porting a rom from lets say a i9300 to our phone? I have been around android for a long time and would really like to start doing this but i have no idea where to begin. I know its not the same as creating a custom rom yourself, so i am hoping this would be a good place to start for me.
Thanks!

Hey start searching for custom roms by aokp or cyanogen read abt the reviews and prefer nightlies as it is bug freed ..porting a rom is smooth due to availability of application what u gta do is 1: Search a desired rom..2: root your phone ..3: create a recovery image 4: place the zip file in your sd card (ROm) and boom flash its smooth
hello guys , I am here mohamed rashad

please help me and find this file
N.B : you won't find it on softpedia and mediufire :crying:
Bro, Terminal commands are given..... They are under the install section And Btw I will also work to get CM10,1 on sgy when broadcom releases the driver If so thenlets work together
I want the tool itself pls and OK I accepted your offer to join you in cm10 development but at least I can use this to compile cm9
"Noob question : why do we need the drivers? "
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium
Btw, I am fixing bugs on already available cm for sgy...
and to answer your question: we need drivers coz the current drivers for our sgy is outdated and cannot run stable cm's Once the drivers arrive wedont need to work that hard to make it possible to get stable ics or jb
that tool is good for beginners like you and me I hope broadcom release the drivers soon so that we could continue to develop and research to make stable ics and jb possible on our y.....
And i think you are way too noobish Will teach you things PM me we will discuss to where to start from
We don't even have a fully working cm7!
How will you get cm10 on sgy!
Ics booted, but useless!
first aim to improve cm7..
