hi there, nobody posted any lock app thread yet so here it goes.
I tried Go unlock but i think it hogs the resources over time and become laggy.
anyone else can recommend a sturdy one to install?
or any good rooting mod for this to make it 100% smooth?

Try the MIUI lock screen. They made it free and available through Play Store. You have tons of styles, themes, and all you ever wanted from a lock screen..
thanks, tried MIUI just now.
It has the 3dot menu on the lock screen after setting lock screen.
so i suppose the 3dot menu mod will get rid of this.
still feel bit un-smooth with MIUI tho.
some reason the sense one is the best so far
Try this.

Does someone know a metro-style lockscreen that runs stable and hasn't got the 3dots menu enabled? I just tried a few but there was none that really worked. Unfortanetly, for I love the tiles' look alot.
Another question: is it possible to change the icons of apps on WidgetLocker? And is the 3dots menu disabled?

I run widget locker myself, lets you have all sorts of different unlockers as well as run widgets and separate wall paper, umoung other features, all on the lock screen.

Hello,
I use widgetlocker on my One X. Yes, you can change the icons af the apps. Also there is no "3dots menu".
When you install adwnotifier you also get notification-count numbers on the lockscreen like in the normal sense lockscreen (for telephone, SMS, Mail[GMail and K9]).
I like it very much and use it in combination with apex launcher on stock rom without root.
Only the sense3 lockscreen from widgetlocker is a little laggy at my phone.
Thank you. I've installed WidgetLocker now and I like it. One problem though: I've got some icons in .png format that work great with Apex Launcher. But if I try to add them in WidgetLocker, they'll get a black background instead of a transparent one. So, how can I use these icons?

True MiUI does have separate wallpapers, But i have tested and tried, WidgetLocker. It has a option to have alternate wallpaper. Its worth the money for just to coolness of having a Custom lockscreen. Try it out its like $3.00 in the market.

Pick up an 1800 mah battery? $20 and well worth it.
LockBot Pro. Look for it in Applanet none battery killer. Has more then one type of lock and deep customization of your favorite lock screen.

Widgetlocker was pretty great with all the features it has. But ultimately, the fact that it occasionaly displayed the normal lockscreen for half a second before it kicked in when turning the screen on, killed it for me.
Also it did drainmy battery a bit more than usual. Great idea, but needs more work.
Lockbot pro is well worth the couple bucks it costs my wife uses it on her vibrant you can use different wallpapers and like 6 different lock styles she seams to enjoy it.

I recommend trying Widget Locker, you can customize/add sliders, as well as a different lock screen Wallpaper. I've been using it for a few days now

I've had good luck with widget locker. But like stated before sometimes you see the orig lock screen and it kills it for ya

What I meen by that is for the new Rom for Droid incredible with the ring for the lock screen 3.0? Idk
But I was wondering if it would be hard to take things out of it?
Like I think that app draw looks like booty but Idk anything about Rom making/editing and I don't want to bother any devs lol
So would this be hard for someone new?

I'm not really sure what you're asking but it isn't difficult to take things like apps out of a rom, but if you're talking about changing the appearance of it (as in themeing) that can be trickier. You should be able to change what you need with a different launcher or themes, mods, etc.
He does not like the pages in the app drawer and wishes to know if it is hard/possible to remove parts of a rom such as the app drawer. My suggestion is that he looks at one of the alternate launchers like launcher pro. It doesn't seem that hard but it also seems like to remove things like the rosie will cause fc and boot loops.

+1 Go with one of the different launcher in the market. They're very easy to use and should give you all that you need.

Hi! I'm pretty new to the rooting world and this GW is my very first Android smartphone. I rooted my phone and currently using stock rom. I would like to know if there's any way to remove the huge clock on the lock screen without downloading any lockscreen app. Is it possible to customize it like hide it or change the font to an invisible one? The huge clock is blocking my lockscreen wallpaper and I hate it. All help shall be well appreciated. Thanks!

I think that is very unlikely to change w/o using third party app. U can try Go Locker. It can let u to disable the clock and date on the lock screen. Besides,
it provides quite a lot of customized theme too.
Use Go Locker is the best way for me
I think u cant do that thing
Thanks for all your suggestions. Is it possible to use the go locker while using the tw app? i like tw because i like the default look of gingerbread.

No. You can't with the HTC Sense Lock. Try GO Locker or some other locker that allows you to do so.
i was using WidgetLocker Lockscreen for a year. then i tried several others, like Go locker or cyanogen MOD lock screen. but i didnt find anything close to widgetlocker lockscreen, so i countinued using WidgetLocker lockscreen. the application cost 2.25euro, if you are not sure about purchase, download warez version somewhere and test it out. because this app absolutely cannot be fully tested in 20-30minutes which google gives you for refund.

I have already known about alternative locksreens, and i am using go launcher and go locker as we speak.
I was hoping for some sort of hack that could enable this on sense locksreen.
Guess I'll wait for stable full sense 4 rom which has this option.
Thanks guys.

You don't need full sense 4 rom for this feature.
In the next release of my custom rom (myONEv RC3.0), this feature is enabled.
Nice

Thanx 4 the reply mate... bt i am not looking to unroot my phone as of now...
I tried the go launcher , it was good but it showed lags on my hox..
I like the sense ui interface of home screens , just dont like the application page... bt apex launcher would probably
Work above the sense interface nd would ruin my phone....
Any other way out... i also use a sgs3 and it has a perfect app screen .. dont know why would htc not notice this ....

not at all, you might not be able to uninstall the sense launcher, but it doesn't stay in the memory. just try the free version for a while, you'll see..
IMO Nova and Apex are the best and the fastest on ICS at the moment. They provide lot of features and customization options. But unfortunately none of the 3rd party launchers support sense widgets (i.e Clock, People widget, calender etc.). If you don’t want to root then there is no way to have sense widgets and custom app drawer.
Thank you all for the response . I will try out both the launchers and would get back with the experience.
Go into apex settings and set drawer opacity to 25.
