Question about the lockscreen clock - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hi! I'm pretty new to the rooting world and this GW is my very first Android smartphone. I rooted my phone and currently using stock rom. I would like to know if there's any way to remove the huge clock on the lock screen without downloading any lockscreen app. Is it possible to customize it like hide it or change the font to an invisible one? The huge clock is blocking my lockscreen wallpaper and I hate it. All help shall be well appreciated. Thanks!

I think that is very unlikely to change w/o using third party app. U can try Go Locker. It can let u to disable the clock and date on the lock screen. Besides,
it provides quite a lot of customized theme too.

Use Go Locker is the best way for me
I think u cant do that thing

Thanks for all your suggestions. Is it possible to use the go locker while using the tw app? i like tw because i like the default look of gingerbread.

Installed launcher2 on unrooted evo, need nexus one phone app & lockscreen

I managed to install the nexus one launcher using apk installer and the launcher.apk file but when I press the phone button I get "application is not installed on your phone, any way to fix that? Is there a way to get the vanilla lockscreen and remove the sense lockscreen plus the clock widget? The phone is unrooted.
you can probably find both on the market, look for nexus clock
and lockbot will let you replace teh lockscreen, but its not the best from what i heard [my family uses it, but personally i trust rooting and replacing better.]

I'd prefer to stay away from root, with the clock app I meant the digital one before the screen is unlocked & I'd like to replace the screenlock with the original sliding buttons.
then lockbot should do the job
ive also heard widget locker [app] can change your lockscreen but ive never looked into it
any particular reasons for avoiding root? you could do a simple root and pull the htclockscreen.apk and replace it with the stock one pretty easily then

The reason I don't want to root is to keep the warranty on the phone.

Lock Screen mod?

hi there, nobody posted any lock app thread yet so here it goes.
I tried Go unlock but i think it hogs the resources over time and become laggy.
anyone else can recommend a sturdy one to install?
or any good rooting mod for this to make it 100% smooth?

Try the MIUI lock screen. They made it free and available through Play Store. You have tons of styles, themes, and all you ever wanted from a lock screen..
thanks, tried MIUI just now.
It has the 3dot menu on the lock screen after setting lock screen.
so i suppose the 3dot menu mod will get rid of this.
still feel bit un-smooth with MIUI tho.
some reason the sense one is the best so far
Try this.

Does someone know a metro-style lockscreen that runs stable and hasn't got the 3dots menu enabled? I just tried a few but there was none that really worked. Unfortanetly, for I love the tiles' look alot.
Another question: is it possible to change the icons of apps on WidgetLocker? And is the 3dots menu disabled?

I run widget locker myself, lets you have all sorts of different unlockers as well as run widgets and separate wall paper, umoung other features, all on the lock screen.

Hello,
I use widgetlocker on my One X. Yes, you can change the icons af the apps. Also there is no "3dots menu".
When you install adwnotifier you also get notification-count numbers on the lockscreen like in the normal sense lockscreen (for telephone, SMS, Mail[GMail and K9]).
I like it very much and use it in combination with apex launcher on stock rom without root.
Only the sense3 lockscreen from widgetlocker is a little laggy at my phone.
Thank you. I've installed WidgetLocker now and I like it. One problem though: I've got some icons in .png format that work great with Apex Launcher. But if I try to add them in WidgetLocker, they'll get a black background instead of a transparent one. So, how can I use these icons?

How can I change the lockscreen on ICS ROMS?

What are the steps that need to be taken to modify the lockscreen - to change to a different one on ICS ROM's?
Have you went to the play store and tried GO Locker?

Thank you both! Much appreciated.

Latest update lets you resize widgets.
Make sure you turn off native lock screen though.

[Q] Hide Status Bar in Lockscreen w/out Widget Locker?

I've been doing a lot of searching and it seems that the only way to hide the status bar in the lockscreen is to use widget locker. Widget locker causes more trouble than its worth when using a password/pin in my opinion. Nova Launcher allows hiding of the status bar but it doesn't apply to the lockscreen.
Is there a way that this can be achieved without using Widget Locker? Thanks in advance.
If its any help, im running CM10.1

You could probably edit the smali code. Or when i get the time i will try an idea i have that will require you to install an apk and thats it.
Thanks for the reply. I looked into editing the smali code and the process seems a bit too advanced for me. If you have time, it would be much appreciated. I know that a lot of people are looking for the same thing.
Me too... I wish in the stock launcher I can toggle the status and dock.
Bump

Havent gotten to it sorry! :/ lots of stuffs to do
A n00b's question here: will it be compatible with i9500 (Exynos)? Since I started using DashClock I too would love to hide the notification bar while on lockscreen.
Regards.
Hey guys, did a quick test with this and it is going to require a system mod. OR i can using root, disable the status bar. But you won't be able to drag it down at all or possibly receive notifications (haven't tested that) but if i mod SystemUI.apk i should be able to make it hide the status bar and still allow you to swipe down to show it again.

Thanks for checking into it. Keep us updated.
Hey guys, just searched google and found this thread.
Completely forgot i posted here way back when.
Got a new handset, keeping it fairly light.
Still wanna be able to hide the status bar on lock screen.
Forcing full screen on systemUI via xposed mod would effectively do it yeah?
What other screens would be affected?
curious as well

Nice idea, but didn't work... tried on keyguard as well.. nothin. Was pretty sure that was the lockscreen apk itself.. maybe not though.

I know of an xposed module that can do this, It's called
"lock Screen Widgets" works on Android Lollipop and Marshmallow. On the various tweaks that this module offers there's an option to hide the status bar in lockscreen. Like I've said, this module only hides the status bar, but it can still be pulled down.

[Q] What lockscreen app am I looking for?

Basically I want the ability to set the lockscreen wallpaper to whatever screen I was on last, and I also want to have the ability to blur it. I tried using gravitybox for this purpose but it doesn't work with my phone (ls990 G3). I'm rooted. Any suggestions?
Thanks
