[Q] cm7 help

Ok I flashed cm7 rom doing the delete data/cache thing and it installed fine. My problem is that I could not get it to sync with google and their was no app for the android market so I couldn't download any apps. Is this rom suppose to download over the top of an existing rom without doing the delete data/cache thing?
Oh, I think I need to do the install goodle apps option during install. Why is that even an option?
Nope, I'm still stuck.

[Q] Is it possible to install CarHome from google in a non-supported ROM?

Hi, I've been searching but didn't fin the way. I'm trying to install CarHome in Oxygen but I can't download from the Market. Also tried flashing the gapps zip for CM7 but can't launch the app.
Also tried installing the CarHomeLauncher (taken from AlexV ROM) and then the app itself but no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Edited: Sorry I found the way. I just needed to put the two files (CarHomeLauncher.apk and CarHomeGoogle.apk) in /system/app AND reboot.
Installing them on /data doesn't seem to make it work.

Un-Installing Mods... MAJOR HELP NEEDED.

Hello,
a while ago, i removed the Google Search Bar, using a mod i had found.
Now, i need this google search bar back. I have tried to re-flash the .zip file again, and i have tried to
restore my Galaxy Nexus, with an nandriod backup. Although, none of this has worked.
When i re-flash the .zip file:
I get a error message reporting that "Launcher has stopped working," and from there i cannot do anything.
When i restore Galaxy Nexus with nandroid backup:
The phone boots up normally, although the Google Search bar is not found.
I have even tried to go to Settings>Apps but i cannot locate the Google Search Bar anywhere.
HELP is GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thank you.
Hello, since I believe you have removed the google search bar apk, have you tried to wipe and flash one of the various ROMs in the development section?
Afaik, the search bar isn't a separate system app.
Did you do a full wipe in CWM before restoring?

Sounds like you modded the launcher. You need to either re-flash your rom or take the original launcher2.apk out of the rom zip and replace the one you have in /system/app/
@ephung23:
I flashed the XENONHD - Jellybean ROM, but the google search bar still wasnt there.
@Petrovski80:
Does this mean wiping cache partition in recovery mode?
I have already tried re-flashing the rom.
The thing is, that when i restore from a nandroid backup, i HAVE the google search bar! From BEFORE the mod i had flashed.
From there, when i "wipe cache partition", and then i flash the "XENON HD" ROM, i do NOT have the search bar.
This is the problem..
@djmcnz
How would i replace the file?
The System>App does not show up when i plug in my phone to the computer.
Is this something done in recovery mode?

You need root and a root explorer like ES Explorer (free on the Play Store) to see and write to /system/

If that helps in any way, there is nothing missing here :/ I installed the stock 4.2.2 this morning and I have all the widgets...
Maybe it's a problem with the .zip stock ROM?? Maybe they will work just fine if you re-install the stock ROM.
If you want to push them manually, extract the .zip stock ROM on your PC, go to system/app and find all the widget apk files and push them to the system through a root file explorer
Hope I helped

sm-n9002

Hi, I rooted my SM-N9002 using the cfroot file in a recent post.
How do I go about adding Google Apps to my device? Realized after buying the phone that it didn't have any Google services. I booted into the stock recovery and tried to install the Google Apps zip file which I used for Cyanogenmod on my Note2 but that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Same problem here, No market and no App store
Strange how samsung launch this model without it?
Has anyone been successful in flashing GApps on KitKat Note 3 Duos? Mine came with PS (probably the Russian SVA ROM), but I flashed the Chinese KitKat right away and can't get Play Store in any way now.
Get Open GApps Pico (no other will fit in size!) and flash it via recovery.
