Hi, ive returned from a unofficial cm7.2 rom from here, to the stock one via odin. Now i cant connect my phone to any computer (tried on 4, all with kies, and the samsung usb drivers for mobile phones) and it always says unrecognized device. Even on downloading mode to reflash via odin the problem occurs.
Is it a issue related to the ext4formatter.zip file i flashed when doing the cm7.2 procedure?
Any ideas?

no matter what drivers i use, kies samsung, anything even random ones. it wont install it.
any ideas? am i screwed?
is there a way to install cwm, or return to stock through stock recovery?
Name stock rom as "update.zip" and put it in the root of your sd card I think

I was trying to install Creeds Rom 2.5 on my Samsung Galaxy Y which had Creeds Rom 2.0 With MerrukTechnology Kernel. After the installation the phone is stuck at Android Logo. Please Help me. When I connect it to my PC, Kies does not detect it. Please tell me that what do I do now.
It also says USB Device not recognized when I connect it to my PC when the phone is in download mode
if you hav installed kies then it should detect your phone... which cwm did you use for flashing?? the merruck one or the one by skin?? try wiping data and cache or do a nandroid backup

First flash back to stock kernel. Do a data and cache wipe and install Creeds v2.5. After you're done installing the ROM, flash the kernel. Flash the ROM before flashing the kernel. Use Stock kernel while flashing the ROM.
I encountered this problem too, i have merruck kernel+installed Creed 2.5, then stuck in Logo. Then there was no problem except the Logo. I can easily connect my phone on pc. So based on your problem, maybe the problem is your usb cable. try another usb data cable. if the problem still exist, try to system restore the last time your phone's connection is still intact.
if you wanna merruk kernel & custom rom, then flash hybrid v 4.0....

And download mode is useless without drivers
you need to install kies or samsung usb drivers before using download mode

Ok so today I tried to flash TWRP on my Note II today through the GooManager app from the Play Store, it went well and then asked to reboot. After the reboot it is stuck on the SAMSUNG Galaxy Note II screen in all white, with a black background. I know I should try to flash the stock firmware with Odin but when in download mode (which it can enter but not the Recovery or OS) it is not detected. I have tried on a Windows XP, Vista and 7 computer with no luck on each. I have downloaded Heimdall for my Mac and again it is not detected. I have read that there could be an eMMC problem or something like that but I was working just fine like two minutes ago. Again it will not boot into either the Recovery or OS after sitting there for minutes, I can upload a photo if need be but I dont think its that hard to imagine. Oh I was on OmniRom the release the one before the one released yesterday with CWM. I wanted to update but since i was on CWM i needed to flash TWRP and it was not downloading for whatever reason so i went with the app method, which has worked before on my Xperia X10 so i was semi confident, anyway I'm rambling now... Again if anyone would be able o help me I will buy you a beer! wait I can't I'm underage, well when I turn 21 I'll buy you a beer!
Thanks!

Your phone was on OMNI ROM with CWM recovery, you installed TWRP via goo manager and since then it's not booting up, right ?
I think the easiest option now is to flash stock via ODIN. Did you ever connect your phone using USB ?
Are you trying with the cable that came along with this phone ? I know samsung drivers can get messy, try installing KIES it will automatically install the appropriate drivers, then exit KIES and start odin with Admin right(right click-> Run as Administrator).
If you have a full back-up and if Odin works try flashing CWM first via ODIN and the reboot in to recovery and restore your backup.

I tried installing Kies, closing it with Task Manager and then using both Odin v3.07 and v1.8.5. With both they never detected my phone, and in Heimdall it still does not recognize my phone. And yes that is exactly what happened.
Oh and Windows finally said something and it said that the usb device connected cannot be recognized...
Sorry fixed it!
Yeah so... The USB cable I was using was broken or whatever so I changed it and yeah its detected, thanks anyway!
Glad to know it's fixed.

Hey guys,
I tried to install DittoNote3 and I also tried to update my modem within the installer.
For some reason Aroma crashed after the install.
Anyway now when I boot the phone I just see the white Samsung Note2 logo.
I've tried download mode and recovery. No luck.
Also when I plug the USB cable I get a battery screen.
When I use Odin I see "0:[COM3]"
But when I try to flash the stock firmware or MI6 bootloader odin just stops at SetupConnection..
Nothing is flashing
I tried this on a Windows XP and Windows 7 PC as Admin. Same thing happens.
I've tried Odin 3.07 and 3.09
Also I tried Kies but it just says "connecting"
Any ideas?
Big thanks in advance!
You could try mskip toolkit that might work. The thread has been closed but the website still works.

hello!
a friend of me gave me his n7100 because he killed it and i hope i can bringt it to work again...
i have the following information about the n7100:
- last booted rom was ditto note 3 v4 beta 2 (android kitkat)
- last recovery was twrp 2.7.0.0
- he tried to install the stock 4.3 rom to sell the n7100
- he tried to install 4.3 with odin 3.07, and after that, the phone hangs in bootloop and he removed the battery after a few minutes
since this point, the n7100 is dead. the rom isnt booting and there is no recovery. the only mode that works is the download mode.
because i have no windows computer, i have installed a windows xp machine with virtualbox on my mac with kies 2.6.2.14014_7 with the samsung drivers and odin 3.07.
the n7100 is recognized correctly in the device manager, kies did not recognize the phone, i think because it is in the download-mode?
i have tried to flash N7100XXUEMK9_N7100OXXEMK4_N7100XXUEMJ9_HOME.tar.md5 and CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar.md5 with the PDA-button, but the phone sais FAIL.
i have no idea what i have to do to reawake the n7100...
has anyone any idea?
many many thanks.
greetings,
alex
try kies 2 instead of kies 3. I have similar problem with my n7100. kies 3 does not recognize it while kies 2 is trying and trying

The same thing occurred with me more than 3 to 4 time. I used windows 8 PC to bring it work again using Odin method. 1st and 2nd time it fail but in third or 4th process it passed successfully. don't panic.
whenever it happens to me I use leaked 4.3 AP_N7100XXUEM16_CP_N7100XXEM16_CSC_N7100XAEM16_BY_WVAZ_DINK file to flash it.
if u have this file just try it or tell me to give you download link of this file.
best of luck.
Thanks for the reply. Will try it tomorrow...

Relax friend no need to worry. As long as the phone boots to download mode its easily fixable. The same has happened to mine severally while switching roms. Use Odin 3.0.9 Win 7 ultimate, but first make sure you have downloaded the correct adb drivers.

FIXED!
I tried to flash with Odin 3.09 and the Stock 4.3 with a Laptop with Windows 7 x64 and everything worked fine.
I really tried to debug why the virtual machine is crashing - i think the virtual machine creates a stack overflow...
however, it works - again.
many thanks!
